engaging AI voice functions

Pros

One thing that really helps with Absorb LMS is the AI voice functionality. It does a lot to keep learners focused especially in courses packed with a lot of information and detail. Having that audio element makes it easier to hold attention and supports a more effective learning experience overall. Another standout feature is Absorb Create which has been very useful for building course content. Different teams can put materials together without much hassle and it makes it much simpler to reuse content that has already been created by other groups. That has definitely improved collaboration and saved time across the organization.

Cons

A recurring frustration is how PowerPoint files can change after being uploaded. The original formatting especially layouts and fonts, really should stay consistent but that does not always happen right now. On top of that getting everything set up at the beginning was more difficult than expected. Some parts of the platform were not very user friendly so it took extra time and effort to figure out where to find things and how to make edits or updates.

Amazing experience!

Pros

Nearly four years into using it the experience has been genuinely outstanding. The sales and support teams are incredibly customer-focused in a way that really sets them apart and is hard to find elsewhere. Compared with other LMS platforms I have worked with, this one stands out on multiple levels. The learner side is also user friendly so it's simple for users to move through content and stay engaged without friction. On the admin side, there's a strong range of features that help improve the overall experience even more. The Admin Experience makes everyday work more efficient and the reporting tools are especially valuable because they give managers clear insight into learner performance. That visibility helps shape better engagement strategies and makes training more effective overall.

Cons

Honestly there isn't much to criticize. The platform is updated regularly and keeps improving with new features which makes it hard to point to any real weaknesses.

user friendly platform and strong support

Pros

The best part of it for me has been how user friendly the platform is for both administrators and learners. The interface is clean, flexible and customizable so organizing content and keeping up with learner progress is very easy. Also I really value the reporting tools as they're powerful without feeling too complex which makes sharing insights with stakeholders much easier. On top of that customer support has consistently been responsive and genuinely helpful.

Cons

I really have not run into anything I dislike about it. The platform has been reliable and user friendly and it has covered everything I have needed so far. I am still working my way through all of the available features but overall the experience has been very positive.

highly customizable solution

Pros

To me the best things about this software is how much functionality it offers as you can pretty much build whatever you need and create a fully customizable platform. The guides are genuinely useful and our implementation manager, Cliodhna, was fantastic throughout the process. She always had an answer and was incredibly supportive.

Cons

At the beginning there definitely seemed like a lot to take in which felt a bit overwhelming. But once I got hands-on with the software, it became much more manageable and I realized I actually understood how to use it.

flexible platform!

Pros

One thing that really works well with Absorb LMS is how customizable it is and how much flexibility it gives us. We also really appreciate being able to reach out to our CSM, Stephanie, regularly, since she's always available to answer questions and offer helpful support and guidance.

Cons

It's frustrating not being able to handle simple tasks that you'd normally expect a platform like this to support.

Loved the design

Pros

The support I received from our client success manager was incredible so huge thanks to Tom. The platform's clean, user friendly design and simple navigation are probably what I like most. The dashboard has been especially useful for us because it tracks progress, sends reminders and keeps learners informed through the Billboard feature. It's also a big plus that the system is flexible, works well across devices and includes strong reporting tools that help both learners and admins keep an eye on performance and improve the overall training experience. On top of that it supports interactive learning with self-paced courses, videos and assessments which keeps training engaging and efficient. The automation features are another major benefit, since they handle enrollments, certifications and updates without adding extra manual work for administrators. Its ability to integrate with other tools also makes it a really strong fit for our organization at Aarons as we work to organize training, measure results and encourage ongoing learning in a structured and motivating digital environment.

Cons

Even though the platform is generally user friendly, there are still certain functions that can feel confusing or require several steps to finish. One of the less helpful parts is the limited customization for course layouts and reporting which can make it harder to display or track information the way we'd prefer. Some users have also run into slow load times, particularly with larger courses or reports that contain a lot of data. The admin settings can be a bit overwhelming at first as well, simply because there are so many options and configurations to work through. Another area that could be better is the communication side, since messaging and discussion features don't feel as interactive as they could. Overall, it's an efficient and well-organized system but it would be even better with more flexibility, improved customization and faster performance for both learners and administrators.

provides valuable insights

Pros

Absorb LMS has made a real difference in improving our employee learning program. It gives us a clear picture of where people are in their development and what steps are needed to help them reach their goals. The platform is easy to use so our teams stay active on it regularly. On top of that our CSM, Stephanie, has been fantastic as she is always supportive and quick to help whenever questions come up.

Cons

There have been very few problems with the platform. The only concerns have been minor, one-off cases that are very specific to how our business operates and we understand why those wouldn't be a top priority. Overall, we're very pleased with the product.

packed with amazing AI tools

Pros

The interface is modern, the support team has been excellent and the AI options for building classes add a lot of value.

Cons

Getting the platform set up at the beginning was a bit challenging because of the many different interfaces and connections involved. That said, the training was extremely helpful and made it much easier to work through those issues.

Has useful AI tools

Pros

It is user friendly and engaging so getting comfortable with it didn't take much effort. Everything is laid out in a very clear, interactive way which helps me build and deliver high-quality training sessions with content that actually keeps people interested. The gamification features are especially refreshing because they make it possible to create stronger learning experiences that keep users involved and motivated. It also does a very good job addressing governance needs, since we can review content across all of our global offices whenever needed with 24/7 access and no administrative or reporting headaches. The user friendly design, interactivity and overall engagement make it feel like a complete solution. I have also gotten a lot of value from the AI capabilities in the Create tool and the reporting features are simple enough that pulling and sending recurring reports is much simpler than it used to be. On top of that the LMS functionality itself is very useful especially for storing courses within curriculums and bundles and the integrations with Zoom and Articulate work well for instructor-led training and content management. Overall, it's easy to set up, simple to work in and it consistently improves my workflow and productivity.

Cons

One area that could be improved is its functionality as more of a learning experience platform especially around the push-pull side of engagement. At the moment, it doesn't really offer a strong way to bring in competitive learning elements such as leaderboards or recommended content from the library. Adding those kinds of features would give users more motivation to earn points, stay engaged and continue building their competencies at every level.

powerful analytics for global training

Pros

I find it easy to set up and run thanks to its user friendly interface, even though the customization side still took some time. One of the biggest advantages for us is how well it supports compliance training completion across all of our locations which is essential for an international company like ours. The analytics are a major strength too as they make it possible to pull data, build dashboards and clearly see where we're falling short or performing well. With more than 17,000 employees around the world, that level of visibility is incredibly valuable. Overall, it balances usability and functionality really well and fits our organization's needs very effectively.

Cons

The reviewer experience feels awkward and not very user friendly. Another issue is that there's no clear middle ground between full LMS access and standard admin permissions. That creates a real problem for us because we'd like local leaders to be able to handle password resets but without giving them broader system control. As it stands, that responsibility keeps falling back on our very small training team which adds a lot of unnecessary workload. A limited-access role for password resets only would make a big difference and not having that option is a significant downside for us.

Good for course building

Pros

The admin panel is user friendly and there are plenty of features to support the setup of different learning objects which makes it a good option for building courses and curricula.

Cons

One frustration is that the development and release of popular features requested by users tends to happen pretty slowly.

culture and training tools shine

Pros

Keeping our company culture strong is always a priority and this platform has played a big part in that. We've been using Amplify to support employee growth on an individual level especially by highlighting courses that connect well with our Lunch & Learns, training sessions and leadership discussions. Create has also been incredibly useful for building training content that feels fully branded to our organization. On top of that the AI feature has helped us improve and refine the trainings we already had, turning them into something even better.

Cons

Honestly there aren't many features here that I'd consider ineffective or unnecessary. Managers, admins and employees all seem to enjoy the different tools and functionality. If I had to point to one frustration, it would be with the reviewer permissions. We ran into a problem where our leadership team couldn't review newly created trainings because they didn't have Create licenses and since our system uses SSO, they also don't have separate login credentials. That creates extra hassle when we need feedback quickly because we end up having to set up additional accounts for leadership and ask them to keep track of another password which really defeats the purpose of having SSO in the first place.

well built platform for all users

Pros

Absorb LMS is very well designed and the platform comes across as modern and thoughtfully built. It works well for people at all levels of technical ability so users don't need to be especially tech-savvy to navigate it successfully.

Cons

A few features aren't as user friendly as they should be which means new users or admins tend to need technical help more often than expected.

Simple platform to use

Pros

The setup options and the results it delivers are excellent. It's very user friendly and handles everything a company needs, plus even more. Every time it seems like I have reached the limit of what it can do, I end up discovering another capability it offers.

Cons

The interface could feel a bit more modern especially with the addition of some animations.

patient support that builds confidence

Pros

Coming into Learning & Development as someone completely new to it, I have been working closely with our L&D Manager while getting familiar with this LMS and we had no prior experience administering or building in the system. Marcia has been consistently patient and supportive while we've learned how to set up new curriculums, departments, HRIS connectors and much more. Honestly we would not have accomplished what we have so far without her guidance. She has built a brilliant working relationship with us and I genuinely look forward to our meetings because she never seems judgmental or irritated by the constant stream of questions we bring. She is incredibly knowledgeable and when something cannot be done, she is upfront about it and clear that it's due to access limitations rather than lack of understanding. She is also excellent at troubleshooting and solving problems whenever issues come up. She has become a real asset and easily the best part of our experience with the system because we know she is there to support us with a calm, steady and friendly approach. From day one, she helped us get the basics in place and has continued helping us grow from that foundation into building curriculums and integrating with our HRIS system. The personalized support she provides is a big reason we would advocate for staying with this platform.

Cons

Without Marcia's support, the platform can be hard to navigate and understand and the guides on their own have not been very helpful for us.

Pretty simple setup process

Pros

Getting started with it was much simpler than I expected. Having an instructor like Adam Tomlinson, who was incredibly helpful throughout, really made a noticeable difference. I really enjoyed the AI features, along with how simple it is to build themes, slides and lessons which makes creating content much faster and more convenient. Overall, everything about it would absolutely make me want to buy it again.

Cons

Powerful yet simple for all users

Pros

It is simple for both learners and admins to use without losing any powerful capabilities. We also like the option to use API and Single Sign-On.

Cons

Because it is such a large company, there are lots of feature requests. So if you need a new feature, it might be a long wait for it to be built and that's only if it gets the green light. But they are good at making sure requests fit their overall plan but that can be a downside for the user experience.
