Incredible content library

Pros

Publishing used to be a nightmare with other tools in HealthStream's HLC but the updated Articulate 360 works flawlessly now. Merging Studio and Storyline into one suite was brilliant. Should've happened back in 2012 when Storyline first launched. The content library is unmatched and I love how the characters now have a diverse, professional illustrated look that's way better than those old cartoon-style ones. If youre stuck with HealthStream's HLC, you'll go crazy over all the medical characters available.

Cons

Haven't found any real downsides yet. I was lucky enough to beta test this so I was pretty excited to dive into the full release and start using all the new features in my current projects.

Everything at one spot

Pros

I love how everything's consolidated in one place. Reminds me of how Adobe bundles their creative tools. The Review and Rise features are absolutely amazing additions. There's an impressive library of pre-built templates that really help when you're stuck for ideas or just getting started. Being able to preview your content across different devices like tablets, phones and desktops is useful!

Cons

The yearly subscription is way too expensive for what we get. After using the full 30-day trial, I just can't justify the cost for our company. Rise doesn't export to the standard "index_LMS.html" format we need for our LMS and it's not fully compatible with Internet Explorer 11 which we're stuck with for the foreseeable future. While Review is a decent feature, it still doesn't address our biggest issue: our subject matter experts want editable copies of the eLearning content and that option still doesn't exist. plus Storyline didn't get any major upgrades except for adding "dials." I really enjoyed the trial period and wish we could move forward with it but there are just too many roadblocks for our organization. We'll have to wait for Storyline 3 next year instead.

Comprehensive set of tools

Pros

I get access to a comprehensive suite of e-learning development tools that covers pretty much everything I need for my projects! The client review process is simple and that content library saves me tons of time. Having all the tools in one convenient location makes my workflow so much smoother.

Cons

Most apps still aren't natively supported on Mac OS, though I'm confident they're working on it for future releases.

Pros

Really appreciate how this platform brings together everything I need for creating e-learning content in one place. The ecosystem covers almost every type of program that fits my workflow. When I want to build a responsive course, Rise is right there. Need feedback from subject matter experts? I can easily send them a review link. There's honestly a tool for just about every situation I come across.

Cons

Haven't found any real issues so far. This tool covers everything I need perfectly.

Solid product

Pros

Love how this platform has evolved by moving everything to the cloud. As a subscriber, I don't have to worry about waiting for updates or paying extra fees for upgrades anymore. The additional tools they've developed are excellent too, there's a content library packed with professional templates, Review makes the feedback process incredibly smooth and Rise is this completely new tool that opens up different ways to create learning experiences.

Cons

Disappointing that it doesn't work on Mac systems. Would love to see compatibility expanded to include Apple devices.

Love the new tools

Pros

The new tools are so good particularly Articulate Review and everything integrates well online.

Cons

Nothing really major to complain about! They switched to a subscription setup but that actually works out fine for my needs.

Growing content library

Pros

The scaling across different devices works flawlessly and the content library keeps expanding with tons of useful resources. Despite all these features, it remains easy to use. Having everything bundled into one subscription gives me access to the entire product suite.

Cons

Gets pretty resource-heavy and basically freezes my older 32-bit work machine. The video editing features are also quite limited compared to what I need.
