“Incredibly user-friendly and great to work with
Pros
Articulate 360 is incredibly user-friendly. I use Storyline to build all my module scenarios and the process of publishing to Review 360 and then bringing it into Rise is completely seamless. Working with triggers and AI features in Storyline is simple too, while the blocks and customization in Rise keep all my modules looking professional and consistent. I also frequently use the AI tools like the text-to-speech and image generator which are both simple to use and easy to tailor to my exact needs.
Cons
I do not have any complaints. After using it for 13 years, I still love it. Their customer support is excellent and I have learned so much from their webinars and the eLearning Heroes community.

“powerful and customizable
Pros
Aside from the amazing community, the best part to me is the freedom to build interactive courses that are fully customizable for each client's specific requirements.
Cons
A significant drawback is the lack of official certification programs. So I feel like creating a way for users to become certified would be incredibly helpful as it would allow them to properly gauge their own skill level and track their progress.

“Great for strict confidentiality
Pros
My work mainly uses Storyline 360 because of the strict confidentiality my clients require. My favorite features are the many ways you can customize a project, how simple it is to publish and implement, the helpful eLearning Heroes community and the AI Assistant.
Cons
one drawback i noticed is that working with tables is clunky and copying, pasting or cropping images can be challenging. The wording for some triggers can also be confusing. So I really wish there was a native Mac version.

“Top-notch team and tools
Pros
Everything about this platform is top-notch from the vibrant community engagement and powerful course creation tools to the incredibly helpful customer support. Plus it offers fantastic flexibility and the ability to integrate JavaScript which really lets us build anything we can imagine.
Cons
The application occasionally crashes unexpectedly. I also hope they add more features to keep up with our clients evolving needs.

“offers incredible versatility and control
Pros
What I enjoy most is this product's incredible versatility. I have tried other authoring tools and they do not even come close. Storyline gives me complete control to build almost anything I can imagine and when I combine it with Rise, I can create responsive courses with truly endless possibilities.
Cons
There is very little I dislike. My main wish is that many of the features available through the Maestro Mighty plugin for Rise were built directly into the tool itself.

“highly efficient but mac incompatible
Pros
Its great how easily you can bring PowerPoint content into storyline. This lets our Subject Matter Experts organize their thoughts in PPT first which really cuts down on the back and forth once the project moves to the design phase.
Cons
As a Mac user I have to use a PC to work in Storyline. I truly wish there was a full Mac solution. This is especially tricky in my highly regulated company where getting third-party software to bridge the gap is difficult.

“Simple to create quick content
Pros
Creating quick and effective content for our users is incredibly simple with this tool. My background is in clinical work, not technology and I have been able to easily build great learning modules for our staff without it taking up a lot of my time.
Cons
The review feature does not let admins make edits directly. Also it is tough to find the exact spot mentioned in the feedback and then make the change in the course.

“highly customizable features
Pros
The features are highly customizable. Also it is great that Articulate offers a range of products for different situations.
Cons
Some of the AI voiceovers can be difficult to work with. There are also a lot of announced features that are not available to use yet.

“useful for e-learning
Pros
when I first started with storyline, my projects were just basic pages with text and simple quizzes. Now I feel completely confident using advanced features like variables, triggers, layers and states to build much more dynamic and engaging lessons.
Cons
i'd really like a built-in horizontal scroll bar. right now, when I make simulations, I have to create workarounds with other elements just to make scrolling work

“Easy to use for collaborating
Pros
The ease of use is a major advantage. The Review 360 feature makes collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and other stakeholders incredibly simple, I mean a huge improvement over the old method of using endless emails and screenshots.
Cons
To be honest I do not have any real complaints. However it would be nice to have a bit more control over elements in Rise but the constant improvements they release are great.

“Adaptable for any learning need
Pros
You can use this tool for anything, from simple to complex projects. The products work great together, but each one also works perfectly on its own
Cons
If I had to pick one downside, it would be Storyline's learning curve but mastering it is absolutely worth the effort. I just wish I had used the available tutorials and learning resources from the very beginning as they make getting started much easier.

“incredibly user-friendly and simple
Pros
The platform is incredibly user-friendly and simple to navigate. Also it is very easy to apply my company's branding and the customization options are absolutely fantastic.
Cons
Well the AI can be a bit hit or miss as it does not always understand my instructions correctly. Plus a simple undo button would also be a really helpful feature to have.

“Simple to build interactive courses
Pros
Building interactive courses from scratch is pretty simple and the navigation is not a problem too. To be honest I have not found another program that I like nearly as much.
Cons
There is honestly not much to complain about. The Mighty plugin is essential because it gives you access to pre-made templates. Before I had it, the platform felt like it was missing a key feature.

“effortless team collaboration
Pros
Creating courses in Rise is extremely simple. Our team can easily maintain a consistent style and edit each other's work without needing deep technical knowledge.
Cons
I feel like the review feature could be improved to make it clearer for both the developer and the subject matter expert what specific element is being tagged.

“An efficient and creative tool!
Pros
It is quite a efficient tool that really improves our content creation. We get a lot of creative freedom from it and I genuinely enjoy using it.
Cons
The AI voiceovers could use more professional-sounding options. Also, I'd love better built-in animations, similar to what Canva offers. Right now, I have to import them from there to get the look I want.

“perfect for any learning goal
Pros
With both Storyline and Rise, teams can choose the right level of learning experience for their goals. Rise is perfect for beginners to quickly create professional-looking courses and the review feature makes collecting feedback from stakeholders easy.
Cons
There is no built-in grammar checker for an entire course and the way resources are organized could be better.

“Wonderfully easy to use
Pros
Rise is wonderfully easy to use. The community and support team are also fantastic as they are very helpful and full of great resources.
Cons
Storyline really needs a native Mac version. As for now I had to buy a Parallels subscription just to run it which is frustrating.

“Highly versatile and reliable
Pros
The tool is highly versatile and meets almost all of our organization's needs. The variety of styles, blocks and functions lets us create all kinds of training for our wider supply chain. Plus the video creation component and the overall safety and security make it a reliable and helpful choice.
Cons
Over time I have noticed there is a pretty steep learning curve for some of the more advanced features. Someone new to the product could easily get stuck on the deeper, more specific parts.
