“Overall, I've found Canvas less user-friendly compared to other similar platforms I've used.
Pros
Not much to like! I supposed once I got the hang of things it was fairly easy to use, but the learning curve was shockingly steep for an LMS.
Cons
My experience with Canvas during a course at Berkeley wasn't smooth; enrollment issues and multiple Canvas sites complicated navigation.

“Canvas is a powerful tool for learning and knowledge sharing, although a real-time chat system could improve collaboration.
Pros
Email system and management of various section of the coursework are 2 good features. The email system will filter contact list based on the coursework enrolled which will avoid sending emails to wrong people having similar names.
Cons
Lack of a built-in chat system, a real-time feature like MS Teams' chat would improve team coordination.

“personally my experience with canvas is rather positive due to its ability to organize tasks and its qualitative free version
Pros
the ease and simplicity of the software is one of the points that makes canvas one of the best learning software but also the qualitative and quantitative content that the software offers makes all the difference
Cons
One drawback of Canvas is the inability to view previous submissions after they're locked, and an unstable connection might lead to ejection from tasks, affecting reconnection negatively.

“Canvas is great but sometimes hard to set up
Pros
The ease of use for students is something I truly appreciate. It enables them to easily access their assignments grades and various other information in a way that is quite intuitive and straightforward.
Cons
Some educators find certain features to be intricate during the setup process and they suggest that a more streamlined approach would be beneficial. Furthermore contacting customer service or tech support has consistently proven to be a challenging experience.

“EasySeamless Gradebook function could be improved
Pros
The product offers a seamless and uncomplicated experience. In fact I find it to be much more appealing than most other user interface platforms used in higher education.
Cons
Users propose that if grades were regularly updated in the system by administrators it would provide a clearer understanding of current grade status and the required performance in exams or finals for a passing letter grade in the course.

“A pioneering system setup
Pros
What I appreciate most about CANVAS is its inherent user-friendliness. It caters to the needs of both instructors and students even those who may not be particularly tech-savvy. The user interface remains uncluttered and intuitive with well-organized features. Another feature of CANVAS that I particularly value is its remarkable adaptability. It lends itself well to creating a diverse range of course types be it online hybrid or in-person courses.
Cons
What I found less satisfactory about CANVAS pertains to its grading system. The built-in grading tool SpeedGrader is often seen as complex and time-consuming especially in the context of larger classes. Additionally customizing grading rubrics and offering comprehensive feedback to students can be quite challenging.
