Getting in touch with my child's teachers and seeing school notifications is convenient and quick.

Cons

A lot of teachers don't keep it updated regularly and responses can take quite a while.

Having direct contact with my child's teacher has been really valuable and I appreciate being able to keep up with my child's day-to-day progress and performance.

One thing I don't care for is that I can't access the classroom right away unless the teacher gives approval first.

During COVID-19, this was the app everyone suddenly had to rely on. Parents were rushing to understand this new way of learning from home and we managed to get the hang of it thanks to the school's guidance and the app's tech support. The people behind it were genuinely outstanding and incredibly helpful.

Cons

Any time we had to submit a ticket, the response could take a bit. In the beginning, the app also froze and closed unexpectedly pretty often but those issues were resolved quickly. Since then, we've really grown to appreciate it.

“Helpful during remote learning”

During the pandemic, this was the platform the Palm Beach County school system used for students and parents and once everyone got the hang of it, it turned out to be really useful.

Cons

One thing I didn't like was how differently it was used from one teacher to another.

Getting daily posts from my son's teacher has been really helpful because I can quickly see what the class worked on each day. It's also wonderful when they share pictures and videos of him since it helps me feel more connected to what's happening at school.

I'd love to see better functionality for connecting with other parents especially when it comes to organizing school parties and similar events.

I appreciate getting a full view of everything that's happening. I receive daily updates about what's going on which I really value. It also helps that I can have real-time conversations or just send a quick message whenever that's all I need at the moment.

The real-time points tracker is one of my favorite parts since students, staff and families can all see updates as they happen. It also lets me leave notes, share photos and videos and message families which keeps communication active and convenient.

notes can't be added from the web version so I end up using the mobile app whenever I need to do that.

There are privacy concerns when the platform shares student information, photos or videos since any sharing like that can create risks around privacy.

ClassDojo feels very user-friendly and I get notifications right away whenever the teacher shares new information.

The downside is the price for additional features. It keeps prompting me to upgrade and pay for more options.

Having everything in one platform is what I appreciate most. It keeps me from missing anything important at school since all the dates, updates and essential communication from the school are available there.

Honestly, I'm satisfied with the app overall and don't have any complaints.

It honestly feels like a teacher's best friend. It makes parent communication incredibly simple and I really appreciate that every conversation is saved in one place. It also does a fantastic job of reinforcing positive student behavior and takes a lot of the stress out of classroom management. On top of that, the students absolutely love using it.

As a teacher, I loved everything about it.

“Discover section adds value”

Pros

Besides helping me keep track of my child's progress at school and motivate them with different points both at school and at home, I also really appreciate the Discover section because it offers extra reading and more exposure to useful content.

Cons

Right now, there's nothing specific I dislike about it. If I had to mention something, it would probably be the missing search option in the Discover section.
