“Powerful but clunky LMS”
Pros
What I like most about this platform is how incredibly great it is, I can manage calendars and schedules, send messages, organize chapters, create assignments, set up groups and so much more. It's a bit clunky and not the easiest to navigate but I have to admit it keeps things organized and helps me get a huge amount done!
Cons
Overall this isn't my go-to online learning platform because I find it quite clunky and not very simple to use, even though I appreciate how powerful and feature-rich it is.

“smooth online assessments”
Pros
What I find most helpful about NEO LMS is how smoothly it handles online assessments, I haven't run into hiccups when running tests. The options available to instructors are diverse and genuinely user-friendly so navigating them is easy. Even instructors who aren't very technical were able to use the platform after a brief explanation. On top of that, there are a lot of great features waiting to be explored.
Cons
One thing I'd really like to see added to NEO is an automatic attendance feature so instructors don't have to mark attendance by hand. A simple implementation could be a daily log that lists the students who sign into the class portal each day which would save time and reduce errors compared with manual tracking.

“helpful help center & blogs”
Pros
I find the help center and the help center blogs really helpful and easy to navigate.
Cons
I'm annoyed by the lack of interoperability between this platform and others like Lippincott, ATI, Elsevier, etc. The quiz/test builder is clunky and I wish there were a single general feedback option instead of having to leave feedback for each answer separately.

“Visually appealing & supportive platform”
Pros
It really grasps users' ideas and requirements when putting together modules for learners. After exploring and getting familiar with many LMS platforms, I feel this tool is much better Overall from the visual design and interface to, most importantly, the outstanding technical support they've provided me.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of any faults they consistently ask users for feedback about their needs and in my experience they respond promptly and are very attentive.

“Features needing improvement”
Pros
I appreciate quizzes, the grade book and the extensive detailed settings available for quizzes, assignments and grading.
Cons
Some features could use improvement, for example the "autocomplete on retake" quiz option never behaves like I expect and it's really confusing. Also when replying to a message I'd like to see the original message and I'd prefer it to integrate with Google Docs a little bit better overall.

“flexible lessons & multimedia assessment”
Pros
Using the Grade Book I can follow my learners' progress right from their very first test. It also lets me upload materials for students and neatly arrange everything into folders and subfolders so I can find things quickly. Many of the tools give me, as a teacher, the flexibility to tailor my lessons the way I want. The assessment section is brilliant, I'm able to assign tasks that include multimedia elements. I'm also able to post announcements to students whenever I need which keeps communication smooth and effortless.
Cons
The Lesson Schedule needs a lot of initial configuration before it becomes useful which can be time-consuming. I also run into complications when trying to create online math assignments, as setting them up isn't easy.

“great for customization, flexibility & gamification”
Pros
For me customization and flexibility are some of the most important ingredients for making learning both easy and effective and NEO LMS really represents the kind of platform I've been trying to find. I find that exploring its wide array of features will take a while but I'm convinced the time investment is worth it. Several administrative tools, in particular the grade book and the assessment sections, include deep options and customization settings which let me craft the kind of classroom setup that aligns with my own teaching vision. Being able to access an inventory or a full list of users makes it easy to keep track of the progress and performance of both current students and those from previous terms. I also like that it stores not only my active subjects but archived courses too so I can go back and retrieve them when needed. The introduction of gamification has boosted the overall learning experience and beyond helping me measure progress and performance, those features also motivate me to use the app continuously for ongoing learning.
Cons
Overall I'm happy with the feature set, everything I need is there but I would love fresher visuals or more modern aesthetic options to tweak the website's look. It's frustrating when occasional syncing glitches appear if you're not careful about what content you share from the masterclass. Because there are so many settings and moving parts, I think it requires deliberate planning and close attention to the configuration choices I jot down to avoid unexpected behavior.

“advanced features & integrations”
Pros
I have found NEO offers many capabilities you don't usually get in other LMS platforms, like simple app integrations, built-in analytics and more. The technical support team is excellent, really helpful and I have noticed they respond to questions as fast as they can. It's also pretty simple and didn't take me long to get comfortable. One feature I particularly like lets students progress on their own (for example, assessments automatically unlock once the prior one is finished). It also hooks into MS Teams and other video conferencing solutions which schools will likely appreciate for running classes online.
Cons
For me the overall look and navigation of NEO is too focused on young learners. I feel higher education students may not appreciate its appearance and the interface can be too cluttered and sometimes distracting.

“Easy-to-navigate archived classes”
Pros
For me I find the archive classes really easy to navigate and they're arranged alphabetically.
Cons
Sometimes I find the layout of each profile varies and because the UX differs between profiles it's hard for me to know where to find the specific information I'm after.

“Frustrating assignment workflow”
Pros
I find it highly configurable and aside from that I can't really point to anything else that stands out about it.
Cons
To assign work I have to navigate through a ridiculous number of clicks and options, most of which I don't even want to deal with which makes the process frustrating. My students have also repeatedly struggled to submit their assignments, causing extra headaches for everyone.

“easy & flexible teaching”
Pros
With NEO teaching and learning feel incredibly easy. My colleagues and students pick it up quickly making the move to online classes simple to set up. I rely on their 24/7 customer support and have found it dependable. It's the kind of LMS I can tweak easily. I like that I can access it from phone, PC, laptop or tablet. Running lessons on NEO saves me time because it stays out of the way and lets me focus on teaching.
Cons
Honestly one thing I can't fault about NEO is that I don't have any negative experiences to share. The people running NEO support regularly send updates to users and I see they keep improving their offerings for clients. While there are scheduled system maintenance windows that some users grumble about, those updates rarely cause serious interruptions to access or course delivery. I appreciate that the team times maintenance during typical breaks so the platform generally remains usable when most people are working.

“GLITCHY, unfriendly interface”
Pros
Honestly I can't point to anything I enjoyed most about NEO. The platform felt clunky and not simple. After going through training I wanted it to work but it failed to deliver as advertised.
Cons
I hated almost everything. Classes weren't organized in any consistent order and the whole interface felt rudimentary and unfriendly to users. It was clumsy to navigate, didn't display assignment due dates, made logging in difficult and would time me out and the Google Drive integration was unreliable. The app often failed, assignments didn't post properly and overall every part felt terrible, my students disliked it as much as I did.

“HTML integration & content options”
Pros
One thing I really like is the HTML integration that allows students to reply directly in the platform. On top of that, I find the wide range of features in NEO incredibly helpful, from uploading various file types to creating different response prompts and assembling multi-format assessments.
Cons
As a teacher I think the organization and user interface of NEO could use some serious improvement. While the overall layout isn't overwhelmingly complicated, it isn't always simple and there are some odd, unnecessary elements scattered around the site. At its core though, the LMS has what I need to teach and I do see many of the helpful features I mentioned earlier. My main frustration is the dated UI, it makes finding or identifying things more of a chore than it should be. For example, every week I had to remember to uncheck the "random order" setting for questions even though I had intentionally arranged the questions myself, on days I forgot, the order would end up scrambled. Even more irritating was when links I pasted would inexplicably unlink themselves or revert to a hyperlink from a completely different lesson. Those quirks made some routine tasks unnecessarily time-consuming and annoying.

“affordable & easy to use tool”
Pros
I've found the platform very affordable and easy to use, even a novice grader can follow along without trouble. Our faculty adapted smoothly when transitioning from traditional classrooms to online instruction.
Cons
For further improvement, giving institutions the ability to customize the gradebook would be ideal, I appreciate options that match our specific processes and needs.
