NEO is easy to use, delivers what it says it will, and is easily customized.

Pros

The ability to apply standards to assignments and quizzes and view mastery wheels for each student based on those standards is phenomenal! With our focus on gamification, we can issue badges and points, establish leaderboards, and more! It's perfect for the unique, highly personalized learning we emphasize at our school.

Cons

The interface lacks user-friendliness.

NEO LMS is easy to use, offers competitive prices and its support has short response time.

Pros

As an administrator, I appreciate the ability to synchronize enrollments using API. With the Enterprise Plan, I can easily reactivate archived users myself.

Cons

I wish there were more role options for users, or better yet, customizable roles. A stronger Monitor role or a less powerful Admin account would be beneficial.

Highly customizable LMS that works well for administration and academics management.

Pros

The flexibility in utilizing the system's full potential is remarkable. Its pleasant interface is user-friendly for individuals of all ages.

Cons

The Mobile App feels similar to using a browser on a phone and lacks mobile-friendliness. Improving aesthetics and interface smoothness would enhance the user experience.

Overall an excellent product and seamless implementation.

Pros

The product is highly customizable and offers numerous features not commonly found in other LMS platforms, all while maintaining affordable costs. Matrix employs an exceedingly fair pricing model and promptly provides responsive and helpful support whenever needed.

Cons

Although some features are available, like gamification options, and the API service, they are limited. Yet, I understand that software is always evolving, and I anticipate improvements in future versions.

Best LMS offered online to date!

Pros

The interface's cleanliness is a standout feature for me. It is incredibly easy to navigate and manage. Both parents and students have found the system intuitive and remarkably user-friendly.

Cons

I can not help but notice the lack of features in the Small Schools package. Introducing a tier between Small School and Enterprise or offering an la carte option for Enterprise features would be beneficial for smaller schools.

Outdated content issue

Pros

I like being able to follow discussions and other information relevant to me and I receive alerts when someone answers a discussion post or any activity I'm tracking.

Cons

There's a frustrating number of outdated posts people leave visible in NEO. I'd appreciate an option that prompts me periodically or the original author to review anything older than a year so items can be reviewed and cleaned up.

great matrix LMS limitations

Pros

I find Matrix to be an affordably-priced SaaS LMS that comes with a great and varied set of quizzing features.

Cons

Functionally it falls short especially around reporting and customization and the UI feels noticeably dated, even more so than Salesforce's. Support is basically limited to their public forum where other users or Matrix staff might reply but there's no private support channel. We never had any post-adoption check-ins and the emails I could find on the website (and messages to our sales rep) were answered slowly, if at all. Even though the price is reasonable and we joined early hoping to watch and help shape the product as it matured, the platform has felt stagnant and we're actively evaluating alternatives. Bottom line: it's a fine entry-level or stopgap option for teams not ready to fully commit to an LMS but once you push for higher production values and more ambitious goals, you'll quickly outgrow Matrix.

Best choice for a small business LMS

Pros

Having reviewed numerous options for my training firm, I've found that while Matrix may not be the most visually appealing, it offers the best price-to-feature ratio of any LMS on the market.

Cons

There is no need for a separate website; Matrix LMS covers all our needs.

Matrix - A LMS on the right path

Pros

Nothing positive. Reports are crucial for my business and I wish they were easier to use, with scheduled reports sent to each organization via email in a visually appealing format, rather than just in CSV. Despite these issues, Matrix remains an amazing platform.

Cons

The API service is lacking some methods, especially for the ecommerce platform.

Best LMS System

Pros

Matrix LMS is hands down one of the easiest and most user-friendly platforms I've ever encountered. Having built classes using Moodle and Blackboard for the past five years, I can confidently say that Matrix is my favorite. The setup and flow of courses, along with the use of modules, are superb.

Cons

The options for setting up and administering tests could use some improvement.

I have been using for a while now and I really I can say that it has been a great experience.

Pros

One improvement I'd like to see is the option for NEO LMS to offer modules for purchase, catering to educators' specific class needs.

Cons

The Calendar is quite disorganized and demands constant attention to keep it updated.

Extremely powerful

Pros

Coming from a software development background, I now assist small training companies in setting up portals/websites and online learning courses using Matrix LMS. I have pushed Matrix to its limits with custom code and overriding default settings, and I've always found the product powerful enough to meet my needs, with the customer support team offering quick responses and assistance. I'm continually amazed by the breadth of capabilities this product offers, it eliminates the need for a separate website, as Matrix LMS covers it all.

Cons

We require either stronger monitoring or weaker admin account privileges.

almost perfect assessment tools

Pros

Overall I was really pleased with EDU2.0. I appreciated the flexibility built into the gradebook, I could enter individual scores or use the grade-all-at-once feature and I liked being able to embed a wide array of student work directly into submissions which made assessing richer evidence much easier. The quiz maker wasn't immediately obvious at first but after a short learning curve it became very easy to use. It was also great to be able to view a student's site 'as a student' so I could see exactly what they were experiencing. I especially liked the proficiency tool because it showed students their progress on individual proficiencies and the shared rubric library was another strong plus.

Cons

My school never really took full advantage of what EDU2.0 can do, largely because it didn't interface with our SMS and that lack of integration was a big factor in our decision to leave the platform. I had a few specific frustrations with the product. For instance rubrics couldn't be exported so students were forced to take screenshots if they wanted to include them in portfolios which felt clunky and inconvenient. Also when I told a student their work wasn't complete, the system still indicated the assignment had been submitted and I had no way of knowing if they had resubmitted after making changes unless I opened each individual assignment. That made tracking revisions tedious. There should definitely be some kind of visible marker or timestamp for resubmissions so teachers can quickly see when a student has turned in an updated version.
