“Its a training powerhouse”
Pros
Forma LMS really stands out for its flexibility and powerful feature set. The customizable courses, learning paths and detailed reporting make it a strong option for online training. It also runs fast, feels reliable and delivers excellent value for an open-source platform.
Cons
The part that is weakest is the outdated and not very user friendly interface which can make navigation and day to day use harder than it should be. Setup and customization also tend to be slow and occasionally confusing and the support and integrations don't feel as strong as what you get with more modern LMS platforms.

“Works well for us”
Pros
This software works really well for corporate training especially with features like role-based learning and detailed reporting. It's flexible, customizable and offers a cost-effective way to handle employee training management.
Cons
Its interface felt a little dated and wasn't the most user friendly when I first started using it. On top of that the initial setup and customization can take quite a bit of time if you don't have technical support.

“Great fit for corporate training”
Pros
Forma LMS is very adaptable especially for corporate training needs. It comes with a great set of features such as course management, user tracking and reporting which makes it much simpler to organize employee learning and keep an eye on progress. Plus being open source is another big advantage since companies can tailor the platform to their specific requirements without taking on expensive licensing fees. It also offers a good level of security and supports integrations that help run learning programs more efficiently. All in all it's a practical and scalable LMS for organizations that need a reliable training solution.
Cons
The part that could use some work is the interface which can feel a little dated next to more modern LMS options. There is also a bit of a learning curve for new users, particularly during the first setup or when dealing with more advanced configurations. From time to time small bugs or technical hiccups come up and need troubleshooting. So I feel like stronger documentation and more user friendly navigation would definitely improve the overall experience.

Using Forma LMS has been a really positive experience because it's simple to navigate, helps me stay organized and makes learning feel more engaging. Being able to monitor my progress and access courses from anywhere has made it much easier to stay focused and motivated.

One thing I liked less about this LMS is that the interface can occasionally feel a little confusing or slow especially when moving through larger courses.

“strong reporting tool”
Pros
This software works well for employee training and onboarding because it's flexible and scales nicely as needs grow. From a Founder's Office point of view, the customization options, structured learning paths and reporting tools make it much easier to monitor team progress and measure training results effectively.
Cons
The interface does feel somewhat outdated and new users may need a bit of time to get comfortable with it. On top of that some of the more advanced features require technical setup or extra customization so the initial configuration can be a little complicated.

“organized learning in one place”
Pros
Having everything in one organized platform made the learning process really convenient. Accessing courses, keeping up with my progress and completing quizzes were all easy too and worked well together.
Cons
It is a little outdated and getting around the platform can be confusing at times especially when I am trying to locate specific course materials.

“open-source tool”
Pros
What makes this LMS such a lifesaver for us is that having a free, open-source LMS makes a big difference when the budget is tight and employee training still needs to happen without extra costs adding up. I also like how customizable it is as it can be adjusted to fit different clients and needs. Really thankful for that.
Cons
An online interactive demo would be really helpful. As a project manager, I am not very technical so I'd prefer to see how the platform looks and works before needing support from my technical co-founder. Also some of the more advanced customization still seems to require developer involvement.

“Customizable learning platform”
Pros
One of the best things about it is how flexible and customizable it is. Organizations can set up courses, user roles and learning paths in a way that matches their own requirements. It works with a wide variety of learning materials and handles SCORM content well which is a big plus. I also really value that it's open-source since that gives much more control over customization and helps with managing costs compared with many proprietary LMS options.
Cons
The interface is not the best and would benefit from a more modern, user-friendly UI/UX. Some of the workflows aren't very simple especially for new administrators or instructors getting started. A few features come with a noticeable learning curve and the documentation or onboarding guidance could definitely be better. Performance can also be a little slow at times depending on the hosting setup and configuration.

“decent training platform”
Pros
One thing that really stood out with this LMS is how flexible and cost effective it is because it's open source. It comes with great features for corporate training, including course management, user roles, reporting and SCORM support. It delivers strong value for the price especially for small to mid-sized businesses. The platform also feels secure and fits well for structured employee training programs.
Cons
The interface looks way too old and not as modern as some other LMS options. It's also not the most beginner-friendly platform and setting it up or customizing it can require technical help. On top of that updates and improvements don't always happen very often and fixing bugs can take a while if you don't have in-house technical expertise.

“well organized training platform”
Pros
After using Forma LMS for a long time, one thing I really appreciate is how simple it is to use. The platform is neatly organized so finding courses and learning materials doesn't take much effort. It makes managing training and learning feel much more convenient and it definitely helps save time along the way.
Cons
One thing I liked the least is that the platform can be a bit slow at times. A few features are also not very clear in the beginning but after getting used to how things work, it becomes much more comfortable to navigate and explore.

“Good tool”
Pros
With more than two years of experience with Forma LMS, the biggest advantage for us has been its flexibility and how much we can customize it for corporate training. We've been able to build separate learning paths for different departments, automate certifications and manage compliance training very effectively. The reporting tools are also amazing once you get familiar with how they work and the platform performs well even with a large number of users. Another big plus is that it's open-source which gave us full control over features, integrations and data without forcing us into costly licensing.
Cons
The biggest issue I have encountered with this platform is the interface which seems a bit dated compared to newer LMS platforms. The initial setup and deeper customization also take technical know-how so it's not the kind of system a non-technical team can handle on their own very easily. Some parts of the platform are not especially user friendly and new admins usually need some training before they can use it confidently. On top of that upgrades and plugin compatibility can occasionally be challenging.

“Proven advantageous tool”
Pros
Being open-source is one of Forma LMS's biggest advantages especially along with how flexible it is. As it can be heavily customized to match specific training requirements and there are no ongoing licensing costs to worry about.
Cons
Getting everything set up at the beginning can be a bit difficult and administrators may need time to get comfortable with it. The interface also feels a little less modern than some other LMS platforms.

“clean interface for training”
Pros
Forma LMS is user friendly and not overwhelming at all. The interface is clean and it's simple to open courses, monitor progress and finish training modules without any confusion. I also appreciated how well the learning paths are organized since that makes employee training feel more structured and efficient.
Cons
A few modules feel somewhat outdated and would benefit from a more modern-looking UI. Reporting and customization can seem limited at times and some actions take extra clicks that slow things down. Performance also tends to lag a little when working with larger courses or reports.

Pros
Being open source it's highly flexible and customizable, with dependable course management and great SCORM support. Plus it performs really well for structured training programs and larger-scale learning needs.

“Organized and easy to use tool”
Pros
Forma LMS is well organized and easy to use which made creating and managing courses much simpler. Its open-source setup is a big advantage especially with the flexibility to customize it and the support for different learning formats like SCORM. The reporting and tracking tools are also very helpful when it comes to keeping a close eye on learner progress.
Cons
According to me the one thing that holds it back a bit is that the interface looks somewhat dated and could be more visually appealing. Getting everything set up and customized at the beginning also takes some technical know-how so it may be difficult for non-technical users. On top of that it offers fewer built-in integrations than some commercial LMS options.

“practical training management tool”
Pros
Running training for a large group is much more manageable with Forma LMS. It's also the best to build courses, assign them to the right users, monitor progress and pull reports without needing advanced technical skills. The interface is clean, the reporting tools are decent and the role-based access control adds a strong layer of security. Overall, it fits organizations really well if they need an efficient, secure and budget-friendly learning management system.
Cons
One part I liked less about this LMS is that the interface looks somewhat dated and can be a little hard to figure out at the beginning so new users may find navigation confusing. A few features also take extra steps to set up and from time to time there are minor bugs or slower loading speeds that impact the experience. Admins usually need some initial training too especially to understand and use all of the platform's capabilities properly.

“corporate training powerhouse”
Pros
Forma LMS stands out for how flexible it is and for its open-source foundation. It gives us the freedom to tailor learning paths, branding and integrations the way we need, without being boxed into restrictive enterprise licensing. We also like how well it handles structured corporate training such as certifications, role-based learning programs, tracking and reporting are already part of the platform. With its scalability and active community behind it, it feels like a strong option for creating customized learning experiences while keeping long-term costs more predictable.
Cons
Its interface is not the best since some parts look dated compared with newer SaaS learning platforms. The setup process can also take a while at the beginning especially when configuring certain workflows for the first time. Because the system is so customizable, administrators do have a bit of a learning curve, particularly if there isn't dedicated technical support in-house. Some advanced capabilities need deeper configuration as well which can make the initial rollout slower for smaller teams. Still, once everything is set up correctly, the platform proves to be stable and very capable for long-term corporate training.

“Packed with modern features”
Pros
It's good value for the money because it comes with strong features and a modern design. It works very well for internal employee training and the reporting system is quite useful too. The interface is clear, the platform is easy to use and with proper security in place, data leakage isn't really a concern.
Cons
At times the platform is slow to load. When opening the software, it can get stuck on the loading screen and take around 20 to 25 seconds before it finally appears.
