Proven very helpful

Pros

Working with LEAi has been a big help for turning dense, science-focused content into something more interactive and much easier for learners to navigate. Being able to upload existing materials like written documents, videos, slides and transcripts is especially useful and using headings to shape the course structure gives me a lot more control over how everything is organized. That has made the whole development process much more efficient. I also really value having the translation feature built in and simple to use. Another strong point is how flexible it is. I can also use it to create a full course or just use specific tools for smaller standalone projects, like pulling a transcript from a video and building from there. On top of that the team is highly responsive and the platform continues to improve quickly with ongoing innovation.

Cons

Because it is still a newer platform, there are parts of it that are still developing. Other course platforms also include interactive features so that aspect is not entirely unique. And depending on how you work some more established systems may feel a bit more polished in certain areas. Even so, this one stands out for its responsiveness, innovation and how well it works with existing source materials while still giving me control over organization.

user friendly and beginner friendly

Pros

This tool is very easy to use even for someone with no previous experience. The interface is also user friendly and moving through the features is simple and natural.

Cons

The thing it's missing is AI support for generating images or videos and creating more polished, higher-quality courses still depends on using extra apps or outside resources.

Simplifies lesson automation

Pros

It is very user friendly and it's been genuinely helpful in automating a big portion of my work. Because of that I am able to spend more time on other parts of improving my content like research and refinement. I mainly rely on it to turn a video tutorial into an actual lesson and it does that amazingly well.

Cons

One thing I'd still want is the ability to update multiple files in bulk. If I want to rephrase them using a specific prompt, I currently have to open and handle each one individually.

valuable tool overall

Pros

The software is easy to use and the suggestions it provides are genuinely helpful for building learning content more quickly. It's an excellent addition to any instructional designer's toolbox.

Cons

I really don't have any major complaints. Since it's a SaaS product, the setup is convenient, though that also means there can occasionally be browser refresh issues.

offer the best support

Pros

Their customer support has been outstanding. The quarterly check-ins are consistently insightful and it's really encouraging to watch improvement recommendations move from the roadmap into actual implementation.

Cons

Well I'd love to see more template styles and branding options or the ability to export into authoring tools that offer more creative design features.

fast AI drafting and question creation

Pros

LEAi's biggest strength is its Generative AI. It handles our inputs really well and produces quality content in a very short time. The drafting capability is strong enough that we can get content prepared and finalized without much effort. One feature that stands out for our needs is how quickly it generates relevant exam questions within seconds which saves our team a lot of work. The support team is also helpful when issues come up. They can be a bit slow at times but the solutions they provide are useful for our use cases. On top of that integrating Synthesia videos is simple so we don't have to spend extra time on embedding or heavy editing, although there are a few minor limitations when connecting SCORM packages to external LMS platforms like SkillJAR.

Cons

One area that really needs improvement is the user interface, because it doesn't have the same level of polish or customization options that content creators usually expect. Formatting choices for both text and images are limited and not very convenient to work with so more design and customization flexibility would definitely help. Courses that are published also come across as fairly basic especially when they are delivered through an external LMS and they don't feel as enriched as they could. The other major concern is the cost. The pricing for additional user licenses is quite high and it ended up forcing us to reduce access and restrict the platform to only certain team members.

certification innovation that delivers

Pros

Well using this tool has completely changed the way course development gets done for us. The platform is user-friendly, highly efficient and packed with deep functionality. The certification-building module, in particular, feels like cutting-edge technology for this industry. As someone who has led certification programs and overseen hundreds of exams, I can say the quality of the exam blueprints and test items it produces will significantly cut down development time and reduce costs. On top of that the expertise and industry knowledge of the LearnExperts team give me full confidence in the product. Their support and responsiveness have been outstanding.

Cons

This is a very minor critique from a certification perspective but the exam item development module could use a few refinements. At the time I last worked with it, single-answer multiple-choice questions were limited to just one correct response format. I'd really like the option to build variations such as 2 out of 4 or 3 out of 5. That said, I am confident those updates are already on the radar and will be addressed.

powerful content creation boost

Pros

LEAi has been a huge help when it comes to rewriting content and the generation tools are especially useful. It can quickly create learning objectives, demonstrations, exercises and assessments on demand which saves a lot of time.

Cons

There is still some front-end work involved and the tool performs best when you already have a storyboard prepared, ideally in Word.

Saves us a lot of time

Pros

When a team is being asked to deliver more training without adding new courseware developers, this tool really changes the equation. LEAi doesn't replace the expertise already on staff but it does automate a lot of the work that typically slows down courseware design. We've uploaded documents, PowerPoint decks and even video-based content straight into it and it pulls the information apart and turns it into a first draft of an eLearning module. That draft isn't always ready to publish as-is but it removes a huge amount of the reformatting and rewriting SMEs would normally have to do just to meet courseware development best practices. Instead of spending time on transcription-style work, they can focus on making sure the content itself is accurate. Altogether, the features have saved us hundreds of hours in development time.

Cons

At this point the only real downside is that it's still a developing technology. Because of that, a few features you might see in some non-GenAI competitors haven't fully arrived yet. That said, with how quickly new releases have been coming out, it feels like that gap is going to narrow pretty fast.

packed with the best toolkit

Pros

Bringing content in is very easy and then you can reshape that same material into learning content without much friction. Being able to work with so many media types really speeds up development. After a short learning period just a few weeks to get to about 80% efficiency as the whole creation process becomes much faster. Like with any platform, the more you gradually expand how you use the features, the more polished organized and consistent your content becomes.

Cons

It's hard to call this a true downside but because the platform is so feature-rich and keeps adding even more capabilities so it definitely takes extra time to learn and apply everything well. With each development cycle, you end up realizing even more of what's available to you.

Saves us time

Pros

It brings real educational know-how into the product which makes it really helpful for creating content that follows best practices. It saves a ton of time with how simple it is to upload and revise existing material, reuse content already built in LEAi and adapt or rewrite it for a different audience or experience level.

Cons

There are still some limitations from time to time, such as which video platforms can be embedded but that list keeps evolving and expanding.

proven game changer for us

Pros

Using our existing enablement slides and documents, we were able to quickly build well-structured content for both internal teams and customers without needing to bring in a trainer. It really changed the game for us.

Cons

At the very beginning a few document formats weren't supported but those have since been added. We were also a very early adopter.

Helps with faster content creation

Pros

Being able to repurpose videos recorded by subject matter experts has been a major advantage for us. Before LEAi, it could take hours or even days to review recordings and pull out the information we needed to build content. A lot of that knowledge was usually buried in documentation or only existed in someone's head. Plus it brings that information to the surface much faster and with far less effort. We now have a much more efficient and better way to transcribe videos and turn them into eLearning, PowerPoint slides or other types of content.

Cons

It is still a little limited when it comes to integrations especially with LMS platforms, though they are actively working on improving that.

smart writing assistant

Pros

The writing features and built-in intelligence were the standout parts of it for me. It made the whole writing process much more manageable. One feature I especially appreciated was the ability to auto-generate content when using the heading-based approach. And if I wanted more say over the final result, I could write everything myself first and then use the software to rewrite or rephrase my wording afterward.

Cons

Sometimes the program felt a bit tricky to use. For example when I wanted to adjust a table or create specific spacing between sections, it usually took a lot of trial and error until it finally looked right. I kept wishing it were more user friendly and could just do what I wanted correctly from the start.

Faster course creation wins

Pros

It really stands out for the amount of time it saves me. My favorite features are the generative AI tools that can rewrite content and generate test questions, the option to upload different content sources into a single course and the ability to build one course and export it into multiple formats for different uses. Those are probably the biggest highlights for me. The whole platform feels designed around helping me work faster and being able to deliver learning to my audience more quickly is a huge benefit.

Cons

Like with any new tool, I was a little unsure about moving away from the apps I'd been using for development for years, since there's always that short period where you feel less efficient while adjusting. That said, it didn't take long to get comfortable with this tool because it's user-friendly so I don't really have any major complaints.

LEAI trial

Pros

I found it designed with educators in mind catering to the needs of instructional designers. I appreciated its capability to generate learning objectives and identify instances of passive voice. The feature that parsed content and generated relevant assessment questions was a significant timesaver.

Cons

Like any emerging product it has some missing features and functionalities. However theres a wellplanned roadmap for future releases and I anticipate exciting expansions. Im looking forward to its potential to transcribe audio content into text.

Great early AI tool

Pros

LEAi impressed us with its ability to consolidate content from various sources into a single development tool. It streamlined this typically timeconsuming process and allowed our teams to focus on development tasks more efficiently.

Cons

While LEAi is a great tool consolidating similar topics into one location would be beneficial. However the team is actively working on features to address this issue.
