“Offers large number of integrations”
Pros
I really appreciate that it's an open-source learning platform and that I can add extra plugins to customize it to specific needs. It supports a competency-based approach through the built-in "Competence" tool and offers a wide range of integrated tools for creating learning resources and activities.
Cons
I've found the initial setup and learning curve quite challenging because it takes a real time investment to get comfortable with the environment and the built-in tools. On top of that, I've noticed that some plugins are no longer maintained or haven't been updated to keep pace with Moodle's ongoing development.

“Looks outdated”
Pros
I've seen almost everyone in the e-learning field use it. I appreciate that it's free and open-source, secure, scalable and that it connects with third-party platforms and plugins as well.
Cons
It looks dated because of its complicated user interface. It isn't as user-friendly as I'd like and having to install so many plugins in order to get basic features is a real pain compared with other learning management systems.

“Fast response time”
Pros
What stands out most about this software is how flexible it is when setting up each module inside a course and I also really appreciate the quick response times it delivers.
Cons
I feel the visual design could use an overhaul so the interface becomes more attractive and user-friendly for users.

“stable and simple”
Pros
I really like this platform. I find it very stable and because it's simpler with fewer features, it becomes easy for me to use.
Cons
Personally, I think they could add more features, such as a waiting queue so people can speak or ask questions.

“Top-notch tool for professionals”
Pros
Finding a platform like this felt like a long-awaited discovery for me. It offers every feature and resource I rely on in my teaching and consulting work. Its user interface is clear and simple to operate, even though I don't have any coding experience. As a trainer, I genuinely think this ranks among the finest tools available for professionals in my field.
Cons
I do value that the platform is built on an open-source foundation but I've found that the available support can be somewhat limited.

“Accessible from anywhere”
Pros
Being able to reach the portal from any location is something I really appreciate and I also like that it's user-friendly to use and presents information in a neat, well-organized layout.
Cons
I've noticed frequent glitches, no option for live customer support and times when content that should appear simply doesn't show up. This makes the system confusing for faculty to use and troubleshoot.

“Simple to handle grades”
Pros
What I appreciate most about it is how simple it makes creating courses and handling grades. I can effortlessly export the information stored here, maintain control over attendance, attach files within assignments organize submissions and related materials and generally keep everything well documented.
Cons
The way quizzes are created and edited is frustrating. It would be much simpler if I could group questions by type when building them or have an option to import or insert question sets using code.

“Gotten better :)”
Pros
It feels a lot like other LMS platforms. Like any system it has its strengths and weaknesses. I've noticed improvements since the last time I used it several years ago. Overall it's a simple solution for both online and face-to-face classes, a convenient spot to house course materials, assignments, calendars and even quizzes or exams.
Cons
At times I find the layout somewhat difficult to use but I suspect much of that stems from the way my course pages were designed by whoever built them rather than an inherent flaw in Moodle itself.

“Comprehensive platform”
Pros
In my role as an administrator, I could clearly see how to set up courses, add assignments and various activities. Scheduling events, messaging users and creating tests and exams felt simple. Honestly it functions as a true all-in-one platform that made organizing courses and lectures feel concrete and manageable.
Cons
My only real worry is about the recent updates. Occasionally I receive emails saying that it doesn't behave properly on mobile phones. It's the sole problem I've faced and while bothersome at times, I don't view it as a major or critical flaw.

Pros
The platform keeps our information secure, alerts us when assignments are missing and consistently keeps me informed.
Cons

“essential for us during Covid”
Pros
Deploying our online courses and materials through it has been incredibly simple. My team and I never ran into problems when publishing content and there are tons of tutorials and guides available that make hitting your objectives with Moodle very achievable. The interface is user-friendly and works well for both students and instructors so everyone adapts quickly. During the Covid pandemic it became an essential tool for us, by far the best long-distance learning platform we've used to date. I also appreciate that it uses password encryption which gives me confidence that our accounts stay protected. The built-in online exam functionality is particularly useful since we don't need to rely on any separate third-party applications to run assessments.
Cons
I can't think of major drawbacks although I'd like to see the developers improve the mobile app's user experience which feels a bit clunky compared to the web version.
