My INDIE LMS review

Pros

I love the freedom to set up classes the way I want to. There are many features available.

Cons

I have some issues using spellcheckers. When words are marked red, they are not included in the text after saving. I did also like more payment options like credit card, PayPal, Alipay, and others to accommodate every client. I also want assurance that this software complies with European data protection laws.

my OPINION

Pros

There's full integration of all tasks as managers, including replying to students, invoicing, and answering questions.

Cons

It is reliable as it runs on AWS and never goes down. The technical service and advice for using the software are excellent, always available within minutes.

Matrix LMS

Pros

Matrix LMS is a great entry into corporate learning platforms. For this type of LMS, there truly are a variety of features. Automation played a major role in our consideration of this product.

Cons

I had some difficulty setting this up due to a lack of documentation, though the support forum provided good insights.

Beautiful platform

Pros

I like this platform more than others I have tried. I used Moodle for many years and recently changed schools. Neo is much more intuitive, has a beautiful design, and is easy to navigate from both desktop and phone. I also like that it allows Face ID to log in.

Cons

I have not noticed any cons, except I did prefer more options for editing text in the discussion.

Fantastic all rounder solution

Pros

We transitioned from another solution to Matrix LMS about 18 months ago because we wanted a feature-rich and easy-to-use solution for our digital community. Matrix has exceeded all expectations in ease of installation, range of features, automation capability, and exceptional customer support.

Cons

For those seeking high levels of accessibility functionality, Matrix LMS is a good solution. However, one needs to be careful with the content loaded or designed to support accessibility.

Beautiful interface, ease of use, mobile responsive, inbuilt gamification, social community, inbuilt apps, automation of everything with an innovative rules engine this solution has it all!

Cons

A copyright attribution feature would assist with government-focused applications.

NEO LMS is great for teachers who have online assignments.

Pros

Tech support is excellent. I can give online and offline assignments and update or edit projects anytime, anywhere. They constantly add new features and refine others.

Cons

Navigation is sometimes awkward. For example, getting to 'Notes' for a student has only one route.

Blended Learning Made Easy

Pros

NEO LMS is incredibly easy to navigate. I can complete lessons without needing a user guide or manual. I appreciate the efficient and quick response of customer support. The Rubric feature makes grading assessments simple. I no longer need to carry stacks of papers; I can just use my tablet to check student submissions. My students are more engaged and enjoy the gamification feature, which other LMS platforms lack.

Cons

I cannot think of any downsides to NEO LMS. Its the ideal LMS for me. I have tested other systems that are complicated to use, but with NEO, everything is straightforward. If anything needs improvement, it is the mobile app, especially for Android devices.

NEO LMS Review

Pros

I like its focus on being a learning management software.

Cons

Lessons are mostly text-based and do not allow students to go through them step by step. Navigation through different functions, like the gradebook, is not very easy. There are terms you have to know (like sticky), but no definitions are provided. Math symbols are very limited, and tips on using shortcuts for classes are not easily accessible.

Love NEO, but hate NEO LMS (the app)

Pros

I love how, through Apple Classroom, you can lock students to this app to prevent them from cheating on a NEO quiz.

Cons

The app is very glitchy and sometimes shuts down when a student is working. Not all quiz features work on the app. The first time students log in, it is confusing since they have to type in the exact name of their district.

School Use

Pros

We use this LMS for our K-12 school for teachers and students. I like the ease of duplicating courses from one year to the next and the ability to have multiple teachers per course.

Cons

The calendar does not integrate well with iPhones, restricting me to desktop or laptop use. I did also like a better way to provide feedback on submissions than what is currently available.

Review of NEO LMS (LanSchool)

Pros

I like that they continually make improvements and add new features.

Cons

Overall, I do not have any significant issues. There are a few features I did change, like having a box that automatically asks if you want to give an assignment instead of having to remember, but overall, I have no complaints.

Amazing functionality but support is not the best

Pros

In my previous job, we used Matrix, and functionality-wise, its one of the best. You can accomplish almost anything your business requires.

Cons

It is not the easiest software to use, but once you get used to it, it is great. Support in our region was not the best; it sometimes took weeks to fix minor bugs.

Robust, Customizable LMS

Pros

I love that Matrix is highly customizable and serves as a blank slate for our needs. We can do nearly anything we need with it.

Cons

It is not intuitive for everyone at first. I have been using the system for two years and am the main contact for the LMS at my 5000-person organization, but I still do not know how to use some features. A more organized, intuitive interface would be worth a bit more money.

Pros

The developer continually adds new features. It is a reliable platform that is easy for both students and teachers to use. It allows posts within assignments for student-teacher communication.

Pros

Once you get the hang of the program, it offers many helpful features.
