“Board communication transformed”
Pros
Board communication has completely changed for the better with this software. It lets us securely create and organize board materials in just a few clicks which gives us better control and helps support more informed decision-making. The customer support team has also been excellent, very responsive and genuinely committed. Another big advantage is how simple it is to manage who can access board information which helps maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data. Also, it can be customized without much effort and makes board meeting management much more manageable.
Cons
Everything about it has been simple and user-friendly. It has performed really well for our team and honestly, I have nothing to complain about at this point.

“Fast agenda building”
Pros
Putting together an agenda and attaching documents is really quick with On.Board. Even when something has to be replaced at the last minute, it's simple to swap out so the whole process moves along fast.
Cons
if a PDF is generated from a Google document, it won't accept it. There are times when I load everything into the packet and hit "Open Book," only to get an error saying it failed. At that point, I have to remove the PDFs one at a time to figure out which file is causing the problem and that can take a while. That said since my company is moving to Microsoft-only documents, it hasn't been happening as much lately.

“Affordable software with solid functionality”
Pros
The platform delivers strong functionality and the support team has been very helpful especially considering the affordable price.
Cons
There are quite a few add-on upgrade options so when you're watching the budget closely, it can sometimes feel a bit like everything comes at an extra cost. Even so, I still appreciate that the base platform is offered at a fairly reasonable price point.

“Meeting materials at a single spot”
Pros
Having all of our meeting materials gathered in one place has made the biggest difference for our organization. It cuts out the need to print packets and hand them out to board members which saves time and keeps everything much more organized.
Cons
There have been times when the meeting book would not build and that is a serious problem when we need to present during a meeting or when members are trying to review materials and vote. I have also been disappointed with customer support when reporting an issue. Their process for notifying users once a problem has been fixed is not very effective so we are often left guessing. Because of that, we have even started thinking about other vendors that offer a similar product.

“Incredible e-signature tool”
Pros
One of the standout parts for me has been the e-signature and approval tools. I can put together surveys and receive responses much faster since users are already familiar with the portal. During COVID, that e-signature capability became especially important because meeting in person wasn't possible yet I still needed signed approvals on documents. I've also been very happy with the support from my relationship manager. They consistently listen to feedback and seem genuinely interested in making the product better. That kind of innovation is essential in a digital environment.
Cons
The minutes feature still feels like it's being developed. It may work well for other organizations but it hasn't really fit my needs. One thing I don't care for is that the pre-form automatically inserts document links into the meeting minutes. Building everything from the ground up is also pretty complex. To their credit, they have listened to my feedback so maybe a third option will be available at some point.

“organized board meetings”
Pros
Running meetings with this is far more efficient than relying on calendar invites and email chains. Putting together the agenda is simple and the board book it generates gathers everything into one polished, professional-looking document. The messenger has also saved a lot of time when communicating with different groups. It cuts down on group emails and makes it simple to look back at past conversations and find information when needed.
Cons
having the option to delete messages and tidy up the messenger area would be nice. The permissions feature is very useful as well but it's easy to forget that permissions have to be applied separately to each meeting, file share and similar item. A reminder pop-up for that would be a nice addition.

“Accessible documents”
Pros
Having one central spot for all meetings and documents really helps keep everything organized and makes things much easier to locate. During meetings, it's especially useful to have every document uploaded in one place and ready to access right away.
Cons
The one thing that would improve it is getting alerts when members RSVP to meetings, instead of having to remember to log in and check their attendance plans manually.

“No need to be tech-savvy”
Pros
Found it to be user-friendly for both the back-end admin and the occasional front-end user who may not be especially tech-savvy. Uploading and managing documents is simple and the permissions setup is very thorough, covering everything from global access to document-level and meeting-specific controls.
Cons
Every event, including dinners, retreats and similar gatherings, has to be classified as a "meeting." The meeting tools work extremely well for board and committee meetings but they are not very adaptable when it comes to events that are not actually meetings.

“Comprehensive solution”
Pros
Having one place to handle meetings, documents and communication between board members has been one of the biggest strengths of this platform.
Cons
The toughest part is getting the board to fully adopt it. A few members can feel hesitant because it's cloud-based but even the most reluctant users have still been able to use the platform without much trouble.

“Board docs in one place”
Pros
Having all board documents collected in a single place makes presenting them much more convenient. It also makes it simple for the board to review and approve the consent agenda.

Keeping track of each member's term and the different committee terms is still difficult.

“Handy Zoom sync”
Pros
Using a Word document to build the agenda is really convenient and it's helpful that Zoom links can be accessed directly from there. The calendar is up to date, there's also a Resource Library and the platform is user-friendly overall. They keep rolling out new features, updates and improvements and the integration process went very well.
Cons
Compared with some of the more established board pack platforms, this one works a bit differently so users who are used to other systems may need extra support while adjusting. Also, the upload failure alerts are a little too subtle which makes them easy to miss when you're moving quickly.

“Regular updates”
Pros
it feels very simple and getting new users up to speed doesn't take much effort. It supports uploading several different file types which is really helpful since there's no need to convert everything into PDF first. The tool is also updated regularly and notifications are sent out to let us know when new features are added.
Cons
At times, finding a specific document can be a bit tricky but overall it's still an excellent piece of software.

“Extremely flexible”
Pros
Right away, it felt like more than a standard collaboration tool. It includes many of the features you'd expect from this kind of platform but the real advantage is how flexible it is and how efficiently it helps us get things done. We can upload different file types and have them visible to everyone in the meeting, people get reminded to vote without needing admin involvement, user editing works very well and the interface overall is excellent. Even team members who aren't very comfortable with technology have no trouble joining in because the platform is simple to use.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about. The only thing I'd like to see is more formatting options for communication. I've also heard Office 365 integration is coming soon and that would make the platform even more convenient.

“Happy with my decision”
Pros
After spending a lot of time searching for the right online meeting and collaboration platform to improve how I manage my workflow, I eventually chose this one. I've been using it for a while now and the experience has been very positive overall. The interface feels user-friendly and the features are arranged in a way that makes navigation simple even for people who are not especially tech-savvy. Another thing I've appreciated is the screen/book feature which is very useful during meetings.
Cons
It does take a bit of time to fully learn how to use all of the features correctly.

“Simple to learn”
Pros
Its an outstanding tool. It doesn't take long to learn and launching virtual meetings is simple and hassle-free. One thing I really value is how quickly tasks can be carried out with it, along with the unique dashboard that makes it simple to build agendas, book appointments and create links which adds a stronger sense of realism to the whole process. The dashboard is also very useful for checking comments from coworkers and managers and replying to them directly. Task sharing and report creation are flexible as well since everyone on the team can take part actively. Another strong point is how well it handles meeting minutes, letting us update them, add notes and alerts and keep everything stored in an organized way that is easy to access later.
Cons
I honestly didn't run into any difficulties using it since its well-designed interface and strong capabilities allowed us to manage virtual meetings exactly the way we needed.

“Smooth set up”
Pros
I enjoy using it. It integrates well and feels very user-friendly especially since it has a familiar Microsoft-style feel. The setup process went smoothly and the training was particularly helpful for both me and our trustees, including those who are not very comfortable with technology. I also appreciate being able to use it across my laptop, iPad and phone, with all of the apps performing reliably. The biggest benefits for me are the user-friendly design, automated reminders and RSVP tracking and the way papers are pulled together into a single pack that can be downloaded and used offline. The timing features are also very useful, giving both the team and the Chair a clear sense of progress. Overall, it has made meetings far more efficient and focused. Being able to rearrange the agenda and use subtitle formatting is another plus and the whole platform presents everything in a very professional way.
Cons
There is very little to complain about. The only things I would point to are the lack of Microsoft Teams integration instead of Zoom and the permissions settings for new trustees. Ideally, new trustees should not automatically be able to access previous papers or at least there should be an option to control that. Other than those points, I really do love the product.

“No more lost emails”
Pros
Keeping all our board meetings and documents in one place has been a big advantage. It's fantastic for the board to have everything together and we no longer have to deal with lost emails.
Cons
That said, the core features feel only barely usable on their own and most boards end up needing several add-ons to get the full functionality they actually need.

“Docs attached to agenda”
Pros
Our team relies on the messaging tool often because it helps us handle things quickly without everything disappearing into endless email chains. It's also really helpful to have all the board documents attached right to the meeting agenda which makes it simple to look over materials ahead of time and reference them again during the meeting itself.
Cons
messaging feature is pretty basic right now. I'd really like to see a few extra options added such as a thumbs-up reaction or simple emojis like people normally use in text conversations.

“Better than printed meeting books”
Pros
Compared with putting meeting books together in PDF, printing them and then mailing them out, this has been a much better way to handle the process. I probably use it more than anyone else at the agency and I've really been enjoying working with it.
Cons
At the same time, we're all very used to the convenience that regular formatting software offers so I really miss being able to move things around as freely as I can in File Explorer. I also miss the hotkeys I rely on all the time in MS Word. Only some of the common shortcuts are available here and others work differently which has led to mistakes while I'm working in it.
