“No longer a good option”

Pros

Our experience with Litmos as our first LMS software was very positive. Its pretty easy to setup and usage surpassed earlier products like Cornerstone and SumTotal, and our users adapted quickly.

Cons

Since being acquired by SAP, Litmos has been problematic. Now it offers poor support and some content feeling unnecessary.

Pros

Litmos streamlines our staff training process with customizable training tracks and engaging videos. The dashboard provides a clear overview of completed and pending trainings and the library offers a wealth of pre-created content.

Cons

Some pre-made videos are very simple. They could be improved to better suit working adults.

Pros

Compared to previous software, Litmos offers faster performance and clearer progress tracking within courses which enhances the learning experience.

Cons

I have not encountered any issues so far. I find the software efficient and fast for working on courses and trainings.

“Too Buggy”

Pros

Assigning trainings and uploading content are both a hassle free tasks with Litmos.

Cons

There are several issues, such as UK-based training content not always aligning with US laws. Also we face difficulties with searching and updating content. Customer service is not satisfactory. They often blame everything on outdated browsers instead of focusing on resolving the problem.

Litmos appears to have technical stability issues, with various bugs affecting usability. Support responses are often delayed, which causes frustration.

It is really annoying that the company does not display pricing on the website which makes it necessary to contact them for budget considerations.

Well we use Litmos however it had a very limited feature set that did not meet our needs.

I found it confusing to see training modules on the sidebar that I did not have access to but could still view.

At two organizations where I've worked, the main reason we chose this software was its price point. It is one of the most affordable options available.

Cons

Compared to similarly priced options, the features were lacking. After the initial 2 weeks, actual support was nonexistent, with response times on critical issues taking over 24 hours for a first (non-automated) response. Integrating with other systems felt clumsy, and there was minimal assistance for API. The admin side of the LMS wasn't very intuitive and felt cluttered. There were many interdependencies across features, leading to the need to pay for additional non-standard features despite them being presented as standard during demos.

The software lacks intuitiveness, making configuration, administration, and usage challenging, even for experienced software users.
