quick setup

Pros

Waybook software is very easy to use and using it is just as simple. The interface is clean and pleasant which makes the content easy to go through. There's basically no learning curve and it offers really great value for the price.

Cons

A mobile app would be a welcome addition. I'd also love to see more visual customization options, along with extra automation features.

has helpful tool for systems

Pros

Keeping our systems, procedures and onboarding materials organized in Waybook has been really easy. Overall it's a simple platform that works well for storing the information the team needs in one place.

Cons

Compared with something like Trainual, it doesn't come with as many extra features. Creating videos isn't built in and embedding videos quickly could be better but the responsive customer support has been very helpful.

centralized SOPs done right

Pros

After trying to piece together SOPs across Google Docs, Notion, ClickUp notes and even random notes in Notepad, it became clear I needed one centralized place for everything. That's where Waybook came in. The layout is really well done because it gives me a clear view of my high-level processes while still letting me dig into the details whenever I need to. Keeping all my SOPs in one system is a huge improvement over managing a scattered Drive folder full of separate Google Docs. I am still in the process of building everything out but I am already looking forward to using this software for team onboarding, tracking progress and testing knowledge. As my business grows, I can tell this will be a valuable tool for a long time.

Cons

At this point I really haven't come across any problems or anything I dislike about the software. The only thing I'd add is a dark mode option mainly because all the white on the screen can feel a bit harsh but that's really the only minor request I have.

organized docs and media

Pros

Keeping documents online in one place has been really helpful especially for SOPs and other reference materials. I also used it to structure a deal flow history and it made it much easier for a colleague to present everything clearly and in a well organized way.

Cons

No cons to share as it is working the best for us!

Provides fantastic support every time

Pros

The customer support has been really outstanding. I consistently receive clear, professional replies within 24 hours and I really value how open they are about the product roadmap and how willing they are to dig into possible solutions when issues come up. The platform is also very easy to use, with the core features you need to begin onboarding employees and aligning them with your company's SOPs and other important information.

Cons

Since it is still fairly new, the feature set is somewhat limited and based on the roadmap, some improvements may take a while to arrive. I was also a bit let down by the current security options and the limitations around using it to capture staff acknowledgement of new policies and processes. That said I have been told these features are planned for upcoming releases.

Top trainual alternative

Pros

Getting Waybook through an AppSumo lifetime deal was perfect timing because I was actively looking for a replacement for Trainual. We needed a way to document our systems as we get ready to scale the business and this has been an excellent fit. The platform is incredibly simple to use and honestly I cannot think of much that needs improving. It's also encouraging to know there's a roadmap with even more valuable features coming.

Cons

One thing that would make the experience even better is a library of common SOPs or standard processes to help new users get started faster. This tool already includes a list of ideas by department which is helpful but having examples of common tasks within those departments would be a really strong addition for onboarding.

great value and support

Pros

Between the responsive customer support, the user friendly setup and the pricing, Waybook has been a really strong choice. It's still a newer platform but it already is great across the board.

Cons

A few features haven't arrived yet like being able to publicly share certain SOPs or documents with people who aren't part of the team and there are still some integrations missing too. Since the software is fairly new though that is understandable.

clean ux and simple workflow

Pros

Waybook is very easy to use. The interface is also clean and well designed which makes the whole experience enjoyable to use.

Cons

I noticed that a few important features are still missing like the ability to share individual steps. That said it's reassuring to see this already planned on the roadmap.

Amazing SOP tracking and layout

Pros

Everything in Waybook is very user friendly and self-explanatory which has made it incredibly useful for organizing our notes by specific topics and keeping important information close at hand. The editing layout is elegant and well designed, so creating SOPs is easy. One of the biggest benefits is being able to monitor how each person is progressing through the process and how well they are absorbing the information in every SOP.

Cons

One thing we would really like is the option to create an additional workbook under the same account so we can keep two separate businesses organized without having to pay for a second investment on the same platform.

Its a team process hub

Pros

Waybook has made it possible for me to keep all of our processes documented in one spot that the whole team can access without trouble. The platform is user friendly and packed with features, with plenty of options for building polished, professional-looking documents. It's also really convenient to duplicate an existing document and quickly make edits or updates from there.

Cons

At times the menu for a line within a document can be a little glitchy when trying to access it.

all our SOPs are finally organized

Pros

We used to feel overwhelmed by too many folders and scattered drives for our SOPs. But Waybook has completely changed that. Plus having everything in one place so the whole team stays aligned is incredibly valuable. I can also organize it so all the information people need is available, control access by team and topic and even use it as an internal training management system. The option to customize subject icons is also a nice touch that I really enjoy.

Cons

At this point I honestly haven't come across anything to dislike about it.

loving the access controls

Pros

Waybook has been a huge win for me. I rely on it for both my full time job and my freelance work and it clicked almost immediately once I got access. The layout is really user friendly and just makes sense. On top of that the permission settings are simple to use but still incredibly powerful. You can set things up so dozens of teams only see the content relevant to them, while giving edit access only to the people who need it. Honestly that's exactly what I'd been hoping for.

Cons

A couple of additions would make it even better. Such as I'd really like the option to turn off document tracking for pages that are only meant as reference material. I'd also love to see the in app home screen refreshed so it can be customized based on what I want displayed. That said both features are already on the roadmap and marked as coming soon, so I am not too worried.

Clear layout and responsive support

Pros

This software is very easy to use. The layout is also clean and organized which makes it really simple for our employees to go through the manual. We also really liked how effortless it was to add images and videos into the pages. Their customer service was excellent as well as they replied quickly whenever we had questions or concerns. At one point I accidentally deleted my profile along with more than 35 pages of work I had created in it and their team played a huge part in restoring everything back to the original version. I am extremely pleased with the product overall.

Cons

The only downside is that the platform is still evolving and I am still waiting for support for additional video embed tools like BerryCast.
