aACE covered our needs
Pros

For us the key was customization. We managed the basics of Accounting, Sales, and Purchases, but more importantly, we tailored it to fit our product specifications, ongoing jobs, and the tracking of raw materials and finished products with associated costs.

Cons

The only issue we faced was during the transition from our original system to the upgrade. However, the customer support team did an excellent job guiding us through the process. It would be great if they could add a Payroll feature.

aACE for the Win
Pros

Thanks to the fully integrated accounting and inventory modules, various built-in integrations with external systems, and its utilization of the FileMaker Platform, we implemented a robust and highly personalized ERP system at a fraction of the usual cost. We seamlessly integrated aACE with our existing systems, allowing for a controlled and phased transition from our legacy system to the new one, with minimal disruptions to our daily operations.

Cons

I would not necessarily call it a dislike, but my main challenge was simply adapting to a system that had interface conventions different from what I was used to. Initially, the List View paradigm used by aACE seemed unfamiliar but over time, I recognized its inherent benefits.

aACE replaced 3 pieces of software that we used to run our business.
Pros

aACE is a used friendly software with a visually appealing interface. It multitasks efficiently, handling accounting processes, business management, CRM accounts, project and task creation, job management, and employee records. Previously, our company relied on FileMaker, QuickBooks, Word and Excel. However,after implementing aACE we no longer use QuickBooks for accounting, Word for proposals, or Excel for extensive reports. Everything is now consolidated within aACE. What I appreciate the most is the interconnectedness of records, allowing easy navigation from client orders to related purchase orders, invoices, tasks, shipments, and more. There are ample tracking capabilities, customizable user preferences, and versatile access privileges. Additionally, the feature for sorting records and fine-tuning searches is quite impressive.

Cons

Since our business operations are quite unique, we often find ourselves needing to create custom fields. This process can be time-consuming and sometimes incur additional costs.

Adaptable full business management software
Pros

aACE has proven to be an excellent management tool for our company. We needed a flexible solution to accommodate our unique business requirements while adhering to GAAP and other best practices. Like any large system implementation, it took time, resources, and adaptations. However, we are now extremely satisfied with the current state of affairs.

Cons

The lack of an instruction manual and limitations in the "help" database have posed challenges for users.

A modern ERP that actually works
Pros

The interface design of aACE 4 is clear and consistent. Even individuals with basic computer experience can quickly adapt to using it, and once you grasp the functionality of common features, you can apply that understanding to all other areas of the system.

Cons

I wish aACE could handle absolutely everything so that we wouldn't need any other software to run our business. The absence of an HR module is probably the most significant gap.

We have been using aACE since 2009 and it has been a major improvement over QuickBooks.
Pros

This software is incredibly versatile, meeting virtually all our needs. In our case, we required builds, which are sale items composed of multiple other items, to effectively manage our inventory. One of the significant advantages is that our accountant can directly access our server and retrieve necessary information promptly. Overall, it is user-friendly, which is crucial for us as we have over 800 SKU's.

Cons

Apart from a few minor spelling and syntax errors, I really have no complaints. It would be nice if some features, especially certain reports, were easier to access, but overall, it's a pretty user-friendly system.

Pros

This software delivers exactly what you would expect from an ERP, and its user interface is straightforward and uncluttered in its menus. Everything is conveniently laid out in front of you!

Cons

I didn't encounter anything that wasn't quickly resolved. Whenever the online support documentation didn't have the answers I needed aACE promptly addressed my concerns through my support representative. I'm pleased to see the continued improvement and growth of their online documentation.

Reliable system
Pros

The interface is clean, and the speed is impressive. The FileMaker base is customizable, and the system's structural integrity requires minimal administration.

Cons

When we initially went live the Inventory Management module was incomplete and it took us some time to fully leverage its potential. However, I've been informed that the latest version of the software has incorporated many lessons learned from our roll-out and is now quite robust. I'm eagerly looking forward to the upgrade! As for Manufacturing Tracking, it required significant modifications for our specific needs, so we decided to integrate it as a bolt on. The integration process was relatively straightforward. However, I don't consider this a drawback of the software itself; it's more of a reality in our industry. No out-of-the-box system would perfectly address our unique requirements as we envisioned them.

A complete system + custom solutions
Pros

It offers a fully integrated system encompassing sales to GL. Within the system, customization options are available, and exporting data for reports is straightforward.

Cons

At times its not the most intuitive system (although I believe they are addressing this in the latest version). Additionally, the system can be a bit slow.

It significantly reduced the time required to enter an order, from hours to minutes. All transactions are effortless and swift to input.

Cons

It would be fantastic if the financial reports resembled those produced by the accounting world more closely. Specifically the general ledger should display a running balance instead of requiring a dated trial balance to review a specific period.
