Pros
Implementing Global Shop Solutions has significantly reduced our purchasing time allowing us to run our MRP on a daily basis through automated purchasing. With the APS feature, our on-time delivery has increased from 72% to over 90%. The ARC store offers a plethora of custom reports developed by Global Shop for specific customers, which are accessible to all users. Full visibility of work orders in the shop, along with the supply and demand screen, provides invaluable insights into profitability and job performance. The system is highly customizable and encompasses all the necessary modules for manufacturing, quoting, quality, and finance.
Cons
Sometimes, when major updates are released, there are several issues that need to be fixed through hotfixes after installation. The training classes are only held in Houston, which can incur significant expenses for airfare, lodging, food, and transportation. Occasionally, it takes a while to receive answers to problems.

Pros
The interface of Global Shop Solutions is exceptional! It consistently works well and has an appealing appearance. Whenever I encounter any issues, the support staff is amazing at resolving them promptly. Whats even better is that the support team is local in Houston, TX, avoiding the frustration of overseas helpdesk experiences. The owners and managers at Global Shop are truly among the best I've ever encountered.
Cons
Despite its many pros, the one con that stands out is the annual cost of maintaining it, which is a bit expensive.

Pros
Supply and Demand with Edit feature of Global Shop Solutions makes navigation effortless, particularly in the manufacturing aspect. I must also commend their outstanding customer service.
Cons
I'm not sure if it's the added features or the increased number of seats, but some days the system becomes frustratingly slow. It would be great if we had the option to disable the features that slow it down.

Pros
The inventory and BOM tracking functionality of Global Shop Solutions is incredibly helpful and functions smoothly. After evaluating numerous systems I found that it offers the most value for our needs.
Cons
The quality package is lacking; it doesn't track or report well, and it doesn't handle scrap costs the way we prefer without splitting jobs. The reports fail to accurately identify or filter out trends.

“Robust System, Incredible Number of Features!
Pros
I have been using Global Shop for 9 years, and I can confidently say that there's almost nothing this system can't handle. We have only scratched the surface of its capabilities. While customer support was hit or miss during the early days of our installation, I've noticed significant improvements in the past 4-5 years. Most support issues are now resolved by Tier 1 support, either immediately on the phone or within a couple of hours via email after submitting a support ticket online. For more complex issues, the ticket is escalated to Tier 2 or R&D, which may take longer but is generally resolved within a reasonable timeframe. The support staff is friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to resolve issues or guide us to new features we may need.
Cons
Like any system there are challenges to address. Although many of them have been resolved through updates, there are still some remaining. The lack of continuity from module to module is evident in search functions and feature properties. When searching for an item in the database, there can be up to four different types of search windows, each behaving slightly differently. Despite these minor issues, it's a great product and I'm confident they will resolve these concerns over time, just as they have done with past issues. Their customer-driven focus has always been commendable and reliable.

Pros
I appreciate the intuitive nature of navigating between different functions. Whenever I want to explore how something like a part number, work order, sales order, or purchase order is set up, there's usually a convenient shortcut that takes me from one screen to another, and it's logically placed.
Cons
The system is highly complex and comprehensive, offering multiple approaches for various functions. It takes time to train people on it, although there are ample training options available.

Pros
Overall, we are satisfied with GlobalShop as it caters to both our manufacturing and financial needs. The 2016.2 update introduced helpful new dashboards.
Cons
The only area where we feel improvement is needed is the quality module. Its somewhat simplistic and doesn't integrate with manufacturing as seamlessly as we would like. Other than that, we're quite satisfied.

One of the benefits is the ability to export data to Excel. Most reports are user friendly and straightforward to use.
Cons

This system empowers us to take control of our inventory and understand the cost of doing business across all our product offerings. The help functions are exceptional, written to assist both new and experienced users. It allows us to drill down to the level of information needed to resolve user issues. Being in the medical device industry, accurate tracking is crucial and GSS provides us with comprehensive information on raw materials and production activity. I particularly like the inventory supply and demand function, which consolidates usage, routers, lot history, and more onto a single screen. Even after using GSS for over 2 years we continue to discover new ways to leverage its capabilities. The company offers free training through Friday Features to keep us updated on existing functions and new features.

Choosing an ERP system is a significant decision, and it's crucial to have prompt answers to questions or resolutions for any issues that arise. Global Shop has consistently provided the support we need. Simplifying operations - Having everything under one umbrella has been a game-changer, eliminating the need for double entry. The list of benefits goes on, including Advanced Planning/Scheduling, visible inventory, real time job costing, and automated purchasing.
Cons
The shop side has been amazing. Transitioning the accounting side from Quickbooks to Global Shop was challenging for the office staff. However Global Shop was always there to answer our questions. Now that we are up and running, our accountant finds her job easier. We've been updating yearly and have had three updates so far. Two were seamless while one required more effort.
