Having a visual flowchart demonstrating the interrelation of information would also be helpful. It should provide insights into the potential results of changing specific settings and the cascading effects. Additionally refining the search feature in the help section is necessary.

We heavily rely on the integrated Document Control systems, which save us significant time and enable us to provide prompt answers to customer inquiries through various communication channels. Another significant advantage is the company behind the software. Firstly, it's a family-owned company with no plans of selling, showing their commitment to the product and its support. Secondly, they are the developers of the software, ensuring tight module integration and a deep understanding of any issues. Lastly, the same organization that sells and supports the software is responsible for its development, eliminating any finger-pointing and ensuring a reliable solution.

Cons

Dealing with issues after upgrades and receiving limited support for older versions can be a hassle. Given the complexity of the software, tailored to each user's needs, I understand that problems can arise. However, it doesn't make the process any less challenging.

Using forecast for capacity planning can be somewhat cumbersome. The system lacks built in sales reports that utilize forecast data to project revenue.

Upgrading the system is a straightforward task, but there are often issues that need fixing. Its difficult to test everything, so we address the problems as they arise, and the support team promptly resolves them.

“A great solution for your manufacturing business!

The product, GSS, is a truly a great ERP system that covers every aspect of our business. We will soon eliminate the use of external documents and spreadsheets, as everything will be managed within GSS. We utilize almost all of the GSS modules and have found great value in some non standard modules/programs such as the SolidWorks to GSS upload tool. This tool allows us to directly import the Bill of Material from SolidWorks to GSS, streamlining our workflow. Another remarkable aspect of GSS is the extensive range of options available. If there's a process or action that doesn't align with our preferences, there's likely an option to customize it. Alternatively, we can use the GAB feature to modify it ourselves or request assistance from GSS. As for the vendor, GSS is a pleasure to work with. They respond promptly to inquiries or issues and offer various training options, including pre-recorded and virtual sessions, in addition to on-site training. Both the product and the vendor continuously improve, ensuring the programs and services keep getting better.

Cons

Regarding the product: GSS heavily relies on Crystal Reports for generating reports. However, almost a year ago, SAP (Crystal Reports) made changes that affected the report generation speed in GSS. It has been a minor inconvenience, but GSS has been working on solutions to improve this issue, and the latest updates have shown progress. We are a couple of updates behind the current version, which includes fixes for this problem. However, it hasn't been inconvenient enough for us to install the update immediately. Regarding the vendor: Occasionally, if you request personalized (virtual) training with a specific trainer or on a specific topic, there might be a wait of up to a week or two. This has only happened once or twice, and they usually accommodate much quicker.

The software includes all necessary modules as standard, providing a comprehensive and user friendly experience. It offers extensive customization options and generates detailed reports efficiently. The customer service team at Global Shop is outstanding, promptly addressing all our questions. I initially anticipated a difficult data transfer process when we migrated from our old DOS based ERP system but Global Shop provided an elegant solution making the transition quick and seamless.

Cons

Sometimes, the system can experience lag in speed and this varies across different modules.
