The ability for our production team to see their orders in advance has significantly reduced lead time for order changes. It has also improved communication between management, logistics, and production teams, resulting in increased productivity and reduced waste.

There were a few problems with barcode scanning that caused some delays in the beginning.

When we started using inventory and order management systems, we were relatively new to them. After evaluating and testing several web-based tools, we found Katana to be the most user-friendly. The clean and intuitive interface allowed us to get up and running quickly and confidently.

Cons

There are certain features and reporting capabilities that we would like to have, especially regarding customer information. Unfortunately, these enhancements haven't been rolled out yet. We spent time exploring and eventually reached out to customer support, who have been very helpful. We're eagerly awaiting the updates.

“A Must have un product management

Pros

The integration with our woocommerce stores is fantastic. It allows us to manage two stores with the same references simultaneously. We can easily create products based on multiple components like packaging and boxes, and the system informs us if everything is in stock or suggests ordering directly from our suppliers. It's simply magical.

Cons

A stronger integration with Zapier would be a definite advantage

I love the cloud integration and the sleek user interface of Katana.

I still have some concerns about the lack of user backup options. It would be helpful to have a method to revert changes, in case something goes wrong. Additionally, I find it inconvenient that there is no integration with Sage. Another issue is that when a new option is added to an existing product or material, the internal barcode is not generated automatically and needs to be created manually. I'm not sure why this is the case. Lastly, the sorting of purchase orders is based on strings, so they are never in the correct order. The prefix "PO-" should be excluded for proper sorting.

It would be great to have the option for partial delivery. Whenever the software is updated, some features get deleted while others are added. It would be better to add new features without removing the old ones.

I love how I can create builds and recipes for my products, and the ability to upload data using Excel is a game changer. The seamless integration with QuickBooks Online adds to the overall efficiency

Keeping track of inventory and ordering materials has never been easier thanks to Katana. The userfriendly interface allows me to navigate effortlessly and see the stock levels at a glance. It even warns me when the stock is running low, ensuring I never run out of what I need. The outstanding customer service is an added bonus, with quick and detailed responses to any questions I have.

Honestly, I can't think of any cons about this software. I haven't encountered any problems so far.

Importing orders from various sources, including my Shopify stores, and managing them all in one place is the most useful feature for me in Katana. The easy onboarding process allows me to start using it right away

In my opinion Katanas current pricing doesnot fully match its capabilities, but it's constantly being supplemented and improved. New features are regularly added, and I believe it will soon become the best software in its niche.

I think theres room for further development in the integration process. It would also be beneficial to have an onboarding specialist who can understand the unique aspects and specific issues of our business. Currently, explaining these to a different person each time can be challenging. I also believe the shop floor app could use some additional functionality, but I am hopeful that more features will be added in the future.

The software can be a bit slow, and the contact syncing could be more reliable.
