“Strong ERP for midmarket Make to Stock / Make to Order manufacturers
Pros
Epicor Kinetic is an ERP system that I find robust and well developed as they are constantly pushing for innovation. The core function and structure are solid, and the included modules offer great features. Additionally, there is an availability of the great architecture options for customization.
Cons
Over the years, numerous features have been added, some through acquisitions, but not all are executed well or at the same level of functionality. The new UI still seems like it's in the Beta phase, although all new features are developed for it. Internal support is lacking, but there is a robust consulting and user community that partially compensates for it.

“Epicor replaces SAP
Pros
The software is easy to use, specifically designed for manufacturing, and integrates well with other platforms.
Cons
While Epicor is a good ERP, unfortunately, the ERP industry tends to focus more on acquiring new customers rather than catering to their existing ones, and Epicor is part of that trend. The industry as a whole needs to improve its quality and customer service.

“Epicor for Order Entry and Financial Management
Pros
Epicor is relatively easy to use and learn. Our entire organization relies on Epicor for order entry, accounting and financial management. It serves as our primary ERP software, used 90% of the time.

“Epicor
Pros
Epicor offers a wide range of features that have greatly assisted us in managing inventory and financials across various aspects of our business, including retail gas stations and business to business fuel deliveries nationwide.
Cons
The user interface lacked user-friendliness and had room for numerous improvements. The menus contained items with similar labels, which could be confusing. On the positive side, I could create custom menus for easier navigation. However, transferring these lists to new team members became challenging as I had to recall the original location of each item.

“My opinion on Epicor ERP
Pros
I have been using this software for five years and have become expert with it. I really adore the software's approach, even though it required some adjustment. However, that is expected when implementing new software. This versatile product is better suited for larger companies, unlike mine where I previously worked as part of a team. However, due to the impact of COVID-19, I have transitioned to freelancing.
Cons
This software package allowed me to personalize and optimize contact management. However, making any changes proved difficult since I hadn't undergone the additional training module. It's worth noting that there are multiple security measures in place, which prevented me from canceling certain aspects.

“Full-featured mid-tier ERP based on Microsoft Stack (or cloud option)
Pros
The MS stack simplifies customization for reporting and data storage. The configuration includes multiple tiers with a database, application server and options for web-clients, fat client, and terminal servers. There are numerous customization options besides code development. Also it covers multiple aspects. Upgrading is relatively easy, keeping us on current releases. The administrative tools are excellent and we can add resources as demand grows, including localizing servers for improved performance.

Pros
Epicor ERP offers great functionality for supply chain management, which is essential for our organization to maintain proper control and categorize the appropriate use of digital products across different departments. Moreover it also allows us to modify visual aspects and tailor it to our preferred environment. This tool has caught my attention, as it helps me familiarize myself with pending tasks.
Cons
It's worth mentioning that many functions commonly used by companies need to be added by users, which slows down the workflow and hinders productivity. This integration process within the software is a significant challenge which eventually impacts overall performance and profitability. An update in these areas of the system is necessary.

“Exceptional ERP Software for Manufacturers
Pros
Epicor offers exceptional flexibility right from the start, particularly in managing and tracking Production Jobs, Bill of Materials, Scheduling, Labor, Inventory, Purchasing and Order Entry. Also the software allows for customized development, and features like Epicor BAQ's, Dashboards and Business Activity Manager allows you to set up custom information, exportable grids and notifications. These modules are use -friendly and intuitive for administrators and end users. Moreover, the Shop Floor Data Entry Module (MES) is quite simple and user-friendly for production/manufacturing floor users.
Cons
Epicor ERP proves to be quite expensive, given its comprehensive nature that covers various aspects of the business. Setting it up according to Epicor's recommendations is important, and thorough completion is necessary. Additionally, due to its flexibility, there are numerous features that may not be used, so it's advisable to create clear work instructions for the team and potentially hide unnecessary fields or functions.

“Not user friendly
Pros
This software provides a wide range of features to personalize and support your business. It offers numerous reports and assets to assist business operations, including the ability to connect multiple chains of stores owned by the same owner. Additionally, the software uses a system called "Bomgar" that allows screen viewing and control for issue resolution.
Cons
There are no freebies with this software. Even for the smallest feature, there will be charges. A monthly fee grants access to a call center for assistance. However, the quality of support can be hit or miss, depending on the person you speak with and their understanding of your needs. Different help levels are available, and if the initial support staff doesn't comprehend your requirements, they can escalate the issue to a higher level, potentially incurring hourly charges. Another downside is that nothing is easy or simple. Being a highly advanced system, if you want to go beyond basic functionality, you have to rely on the help line to set it up. While it's possible to do it yourself, it's challenging to navigate and identify the necessary system flags to avoid unintended consequences.

Pros
We have been using Epicor for approximately three months, and the transition from our previous system went smoothly. Navigating within the system is simple, thanks to the intuitive menu system. Almost any information needed for planning and scheduling is just a click away.
Cons
Initially, we encountered some issues with inventory suggestions. The system wanted everything restocked as soon as it detected we were below minimums. However, after a few weeks of research, we were able to customize the system to match our specific needs. There were a few other minor challenges during the implementation phase, but overall it wasn't a difficult process.

“Great for quoting engineered to order equipment and systems
Pros
This ERP system simplifies quoting for items that don't have predefined part numbers in the system. As a company that fabricates custom-designed process equipment involving numerous purchased components, this feature is invaluable. Often, our customers require details to their specific Approved Material List, which may include components we haven't purchased before. Epicor allows us to quote parts, kits and systems without the need to create part numbers in advance, streamlining the quoting process. It's unnecessary to set up part numbers if we don't have the job yet.

“ERP for Medium-sized manufacturers
Pros
As a medium-sized manufacturer, Epicor ERP serves as a comprehensive all in one solution for us. It covers all our requirements and offers a wide range of optional modules. We use it for quoting, order management, job tracking, bill of materials, product configuration, dashboards, reports, purchasing, inventory management, production and AP & AR invoicing. Over the years, the Epicor team has put in significant effort to enhance the software, and it now operates on the 100% Microsoft Stack. Within the software, we can query the SQL database using reports and dashboards, or utilize external Business Intelligence software like Power BI or Tableau. Compared to other leading ERP solutions, Epicor offers a more affordable price point, particularly for companies with fewer than 200 users. The software offers a lot of opportunities for customization and personalization.
Cons
Previous versions of Epicor ERP were slow and cumbersome, but the new version is remarkably fast. Implementing the software requires experts assistance and a dedicated team for maintenance. It's not a ready to use solution but rather demands mapping of business processes and careful implementation tailored to the organization's workflow. The system allows for extensive customization, but greater customization introduces complexity and potential issues when upgrading to newer releases and versions.

“Epicor ERP
Pros
The user interface of Epicor is both highly flexible and powerful. Each software module provides wide range of options to tailor the configuration according to our specific needs. The seamless integration of most modules empowers users with advanced capabilities. Administering user personalization is both easy and impactful.
Cons
Customization often proves overly complex. I require a C# programmer, and it can still be complicated. Transitioning from V9 to V10 involved changing customization languages, necessitating a rewrite of previous customizations, which incurred significant costs. The upgrade process for software modules is overly complex too, but efforts are underway to improve it and prioritize ease which allows companies to stay on the current release without feeling like a new implementation. It requires more effort than it should. Some modules included for enhancing requirements are quite weak, like the integration with Salesforce.
