Coming into the company, I worked first in customer service and shipping before moving over to manufacturing and the plant floor. Across each area, the business has benefited from what this system can do. We also use it alongside the kiosk program on the shop floor and together it works really well for what our business needs.
Cons
It's a bit like a supercomputer in that the only real limit is how well you understand and use its full potential. One thing I'd still like to see improved is making the collaboration between database segments easier to locate when working in the report writer.

Right from the start, the team stood out as highly experienced and consistently helpful, whether the situation was low priority or something critical. Having a long preparation period before moving to the Pro System made a big difference because it gave us time to understand how everything worked before going live in the company. The system offers a lot of functionality and can seem complex at first but the interface follows a consistent task flow across all modules which helps a lot once you begin using it regularly. Another big advantage is how extensible it is and how well it integrates with other software and applications. We also needed our own software to work inside this tool for some very specific reasons and that was supported really well. On top of that, we were able to build our own in-house add-ons that connect nicely with the core system. Our feedback was clearly taken seriously too and a number of fixes were approved based on it so we could get more value from the platform. Overall, it feels like a fairly open solution, customizable and backed by very reliable support.
Cons
At first glance, the system can feel quite complex and during a new implementation that may be intimidating for users. Speed was another issue in the beginning although it improved significantly over time thanks to the team being open to new ideas and responsive to our feedback. The interface is packed with features which is not necessarily a bad thing but not every company will need every field that is available. Because of that, users may need a longer learning curve before they become fully comfortable with the UI flow. In our case, many of the users were not especially technical when it comes to computers but over time they still managed to learn the procedures and work with the system. I also know a more refined solution is expected in the near future with the Cube design but for now there is still a learning phase involved. One thing that may be missing is a mass-action concept for repetitive tasks. That said it can be handled through alternative modules already available in the solution although those tend to require more advanced users. In our company, this has not been a major problem.

Being able to track every transaction is really helpful. I can clearly see which user made each entry and exactly when it was done and that level of visibility is something I depend on.
Cons
I don't enjoy dealing with reconciliation issues from time to time. There are moments when some of my entries seem to disappear and I have to contact tech support to get them restored. The good part is that the support team is always very helpful and able to resolve it.

Running a job shop for different industries means we're always sending lead-time updates to customers and this system has made that much easier. It gives us real-time visibility into every order so we can quickly tell customers how many parts are finished or which stage of manufacturing a job is currently in. We can share that information right away by phone or email without having to leave the office. It also gives us complete control over the shop and helps us communicate every part of the manufacturing process clearly with both customers and suppliers. One feature we especially appreciate is the custom reporting in every module. We can organize the data however we want, then print it or save it as a PDF with our company logo and send it out to customers or vendors. It works really well for creating custom OORs, RMAs, certificates and more. On top of that, working with the it Solutions team has been a very positive experience. They're always responsive to feedback and when issues do come up, they're usually fixed quickly through updates while the software keeps getting better over time.
Cons
Whenever we've run into any issues, the it Solutions team has taken care of them quickly so at this point we really don't have anything negative to say.

Everything in the system connects easily so there aren't separate modules that need syncing just to work with each other. No matter where you are in the software, all the features are already integrated and available.
Cons
One thing that would improve it is being able to highlight specific lines or cells, similar to a spreadsheet and copy only those instead of having to copy the full report Ittrak generates. That said copying the entire report and pasting it into Excel is very easy and I can do what I need from there.

Pros
Feature that stood out most was how well this software integrates with other database systems. That made a huge difference for us in getting data to flow between Pronest and the system. The company we used before this would not do much to help with customized communication but here we had it working after only a meeting or two. Another part we really appreciate is how much information is available on each page. Using either the arrow keys or the mouse, you can scroll through RFQs orders, items, POs and more and review each of those records in detail. We also really appreciate the way it handles time and material collection on each work order even though we still have not fully rolled out that feature yet.
Cons
One thing that took some time to fully understand was the way each manufactured item has both a quote and a router tied to it. Since we make custom parts, we are entering new part numbers every day. The process requires creating a new item first, then generating a quote from that item which is where the manufacturing details are entered to build the cost. Once the job is awarded, you then have to create a router from the quote so the work order can pull in those details. I still question why the work order cannot just pull that information directly from the quote although there may be a reason for that that I do not know. Another limitation for us is invoicing. We used to send customers an email with their bill and a payment link so they could pay by ACH or credit card. The system still lets us email invoices but it would be much better if it also included that kind of payment option.

This is a very comprehensive software package. At the moment I'm only using about half of what it can do but as we grow I expect to take advantage of much more. It's packed with detail and has a lot of capability.
Cons
A few of the abbreviations are different here in Australia since it's American software. It's also hard to tell when the system is processing something so some kind of timer or progress indicator would really help.

There's a huge range of features and it does a really good job of capturing data across multiple stages of the manufacturing cycle. The customization options are also a big plus and overall it offers excellent value for the money. Support has been very responsive as well especially considering the time difference between Australia and the USA.
Cons
The interface isn't the most simple at first although with time and training it does get easier to work with and users become more efficient. It would also be even better to have an Australia-based contact available for customization and troubleshooting.

Having support included in the annual agreement is one of the biggest advantages this software has over others. The system is updated regularly with ongoing improvements and whenever something comes up, the support team is available through tickets to help out. Those updates consistently bring in new features and better ways to handle production which helps the organization keep improving how production data is captured and maintained. At the same time because the software is always evolving, there can be occasional challenges when a change causes something to break or work differently. Our team recently implemented an update to the barcoding system that added product images to inventory labels and that 2023 feature has already turned into a valuable time-saving improvement project for us.
Cons
A lot of real power comes from its customization especially when you have people on staff who understand SQL and report writing. The support team can create custom reports and scripts when needed but newer users would probably get far more inventive and effective use out of the tools in itTrak if their own team had a stronger grasp of how the underlying system works.

Being able to work with journal entries and export results into Excel has been really useful for managing our numbers. We recently added multiple entities and I'm excited to start using it with the new entities we've set up.
Cons
Cost tracking by project and work order could flow better. Right now, users aren't required to enter a project or work order number when turning a purchase requisition into an order which makes that process less convenient. That may be more of a local policy issue though.

Having multiple ways to search for information and being able to sort databases by most fields has been really useful. The customizable reports are a strong feature too. They can be a bit tricky to build at times but Customer Support was very helpful whenever I needed assistance.
Cons
Once bank accounts are reconciled, it would be much better to have a single report that shows the account is reconciled and includes all cleared transactions. It would also be helpful if that same report listed any outstanding transactions. Right now, I have to print five separate reports to get all of that information.

One thing that really works well here is the consistency across the software. Everything connects the way you would hope and moving from one window to another feels natural and simple to use. The added tools like EDI, mobile warehouse, QuickBooks integration, auto-email features and automated backups really add value and make the software feel worth the cost.
Cons
The toughest part on our end is keeping up with the updates. At times, new releases include features we do not need or end up not using. Since the software is designed to fit many different types of companies, there are naturally parts that do not match our operation very well. On the other hand, there are also smaller features we would really like to have that do not get added right away. Even when they are considered, implementation can take 5 to 6 months or even longer depending on the complexity.
