Redzone compliance has made my job so much easier!

Pros

I love having all our quality and production records in one place. It eliminates the need to track down supervisors and operators for missed checks. Having Redzone on my tablet makes it easier to communicate and stay informed about plant issues even when I'm not onsite. The coaching provided is excellent and they are extremely helpful. Initially I had some reservations about the investment in Redzone but with the coaching, it has become effortless!

Cons

As an Android user I would like to be able to use the app on my phone instead of carrying a tablet.

Quality Assurance best friend!

Pros

The software is customizable and easy to use for all levels of the company,I really appreciated the support I received from my Redzone Coach in helping me build the critical mass needed for full adoption by our site team. Its often challenging to gather the necessary momentum for these deployments but our coach was an expert at encouraging participation from resistant employees.

Cons

The initial configuration is based on SAP information, triggered by calendar combinations.

The shiny new Redzone system is so easy to use

Pros

I personally find Redzone extremely straightforward to navigate. The interface has a sleek appearance and I easily locate the desired information and historical reports. This greatly aids in comprehending and addressing any issues. It also facilitates internal communication.

Cons

I have concerns about anyone being able to start a job or enter a downtime problem at any location. It opens the possibility of someone tampering with the system. We need to ensure that doesn't happen.

Redzone is giving light at the end of the tunnel

Pros

I appreciate the ability to assess the performance of each huddle line. During the huddle, I can directly communicate with the leader of each line, who informs me about any issues they are facing. This allows me to provide support to the appropriate person. By making minor adjustments during each review, we are progressing in the right direction.

Cons

The huddle feature is excellent, but when the line is busy it creates additional pressure for everyone. Our top priority is completing orders, and I would love to have access to it on my phone, but unfortunately, it's not available for Android.

my daily go to tool, production section manager

Pros

Redzone provides me with a comprehensive view of how my section is performing. I no longer need to spend every day running around to speak with my line leaders; I can efficiently manage my lines with the help of Redzone. Our regular huddles enable us to make minor adjustments to optimize our lines and collectively reach our goals.

Cons

It took me some time to understand the huddle and start reaping its benefits. Initially, I was reluctant to participate, considering it extra work. However, as time went on and our production lines improved, I began to realize the importance of huddling.

Great tool and it provides great factory insights, voice of a shift manager

Pros

I appreciate Redzone because it offers an overview of the production lines. However, it is important that users are properly trained and enter accurate information. If incorrect data is entered, we may encounter quality issues and lose track of our progress. Nevertheless, the system is user friendly enough to identify and rectify any inaccuracies, ensuring appropriate training is provided to the responsible individuals.

Cons

We still need to ensure that our line leaders receive proper training on the system. Additionally, it takes extra time for new employees to familiarize themselves with the system. The language support is limited, and not all languages are covered.

Comment from a despatch team point of view on using Redzone

Pros

I work in the dispatch area, which is separate from the danger zone. Redzone has significantly improved our communication. We can instantly view when the high risk area experiences downtime and the reasons behind it. Likewise, if we encounter a stoppage, the high risk area can also see it. We no longer need to resort to loud noises and gestures through the glass partition.

Cons

There was a tendency to solely blame dispatch for all the downtime, but the data showed that it wasn't the case 100% of the time. This helped us identify the root causes of problems, and both sides started working together towards resolution.

Happy leader that's using Redzone everyday!

Pros

All the necessary information is easily accessible on the iPads and TV displays throughout the shop floor. Updates occur instantly, and everyone has control over their tasks. The app effectively connects different departments and individuals, promoting efficient communication. We can effortlessly send messages within the app, and raising issues is a breeze.

Cons

The sensors can be incredibly frustrating when they provide incorrect information. Unfortunately theres nothing we can do from the production side except wait for an engineer to resolve the issue. Its quite disappointing to have such a great system rendered useless in the meantime.

really good software and great coaching support

Pros

The system provides real time data, which is easily understandable. All departments are now synchronized and operating with a common focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency). It brings joy to see our live performance, and we even engage in friendly internal competition.

Cons

I wish the system refreshed a bit faster. Currently, theres a 30 second time delay between the product passing the sensors and the information appearing on the TV displays. Having this system earlier would have been fantastic.

Area manager experience on using Redzone

Pros

From a management perspective, the system offers detailed and accurate data, which greatly assists in resolving daily issues. Realtime interaction with others is facilitated, and even small gestures like a high five can mean a lot to the team.

Cons

Honestly, I cannot think of any areas where I dislike the system. Like any new system, it takes time, practice, and daily usage to master the skills. So far it has been a very pleasant journey, and the system enables us to react quickly to problems.

i really enjoy using Redzone!

Pros

Redzone grants me an overview of the entire shop floor. Even when I need to step away from the warehouse, I can still oversee the area and provide support where necessary.

Cons

I'm extremely satisfied with the overall system, but once the 90s day package is completed, its up to our internal engineers to maintain the sensors. These sensors are crucial to our success, and if they provide inaccurate information, we will be left in the dark.

voice from a front line team leader in a food factory

Pros

Redzone is userfriendly allowing me to monitor my line's performance via the Apple TV in the office, even when I am not on the shop floor. Witnessing my performance every day brings satisfaction and it's delightful to stay in the "Green." Entering downtime reasons and making changes if any mistakes occur is a simple task.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that Redzone is limited to Apple devices, and I only have an Android phone. Consequently, I can't access Redzone on my phone. Additionally, the sensors sometimes give faulty readings, requiring intervention from an engineer.

Greenday everyday with Redzone!

Pros

The system is effortless to use. After learning the login process and updating my details, using it daily is a breeze. All the relevant information is displayed on one screen. I can easily identify the top downtime, monitor my line's speed, track the product I'm manufacturing, and assess my progress. The Apple TV provides a visually appealing overview of how other areas are performing.

Cons

Since its not available on Android devices, I would like to be able to monitor how the line is performing even when I'm not at work. It also relies on a good Wifi connection but there are Wifi dead zones in my area, so I have to move around to stay connected.

Redzone is making my life easier!

Pros

The system is highly visual, displaying line performance and hourly productivity. It fosters a healthy internal competition, motivating staff to improve their performance. We effectively solve daily problems by leveraging real time data.

Cons

I'm extremely happy with Redzone overall. However, the sensors have been causing some issues, and the service level of our contractor should improve since the system relies on the sensors to provide accurate data.

Redzone has proven immensely useful on the shop floor, offering vital information for workplace improvement, including real time data. When a downtime event is displayed on the TV, we can promptly take action.

Cons

The kaizen function is a bit difficult to understand, and it requires more training and practice. Once a fishbone diagram is created it cannot be deleted or edited.

Honest Redzone experience

Pros

The system is remarkably simple easy to use, requiring only a few clicks to start a shift and begin my production run. I can easily determine if I'm ahead or behind schedule and report any downtime to my manager.

Cons

The systems full visibility means I need to stay on top of my game. If my line is running slowly, there are no more excuses. It adds a bit of pressure to the job but it also motivates me to run my line more efficiently.

Redzone improves our communication

Pros

Redzone allows me to use my phone to monitor our performance. The live data enables swift reactions when the line is underperforming. Additionally, we can easily escalate issues to different departments during our daily meetings using Redzone.

Cons

The mobile app has limited functionality. For example, I can't initiate a huddle using the app. Some people take longer to learn the system especially non English speakers due to the limited language options available.
