I really appreciated the support from my Redzone Coach in building the necessary momentum for full adoption by our site team. Its often challenging to generate enthusiasm for these deployments, but our coach was skilled at encouraging participation from resistant employees.

Cons

The only downside is that its only available on iOS and theres no desktop interface.

Redzone compliance in Thailand!
Pros

I appreciate how Redzone allows me to set up triggers for checks. These triggers can be programmed automatically and accurately based on downtime events. It helps us identify the reasons for losses and greatly aids in further improvement.

Cons

I really enjoy the Redzone training and there's nothing I dislike. The only challenge my team faced was using both paper and Redzone for recording checks which created duplicated work. However this will be phased out once we fully implement the system.

Our journey to paperless
Pros

Redzone has helped us transition to a paperless system. The operators find it easy to input data such as machine downtime and scheduled checks for the production line. As supervisors we have complete visibility of all the lines and the quality dashboard allows us to manage by exception. I can easily identify any failed or warning checks and understand why they occurred and what actions were taken. Before using Redzone these practices were time consuming both in data entry and review.

Cons

We need to purchase more ipads. It would save us a lot of money if the system could be accessed through Windows or Android devices.

Pros

The compliance module has helped us reduce the use of paper on the production line. We can now easily search for checks and filter them by line, date and production.The data entry process is incredibly easy, ensuring that operators perform checks at the right time and enter accurate information.

Cons

Learning and mastering compliance takes time, especially when creating datasheets. However, once done correctly it makes tracking and monitoring production line paperwork a breeze.

Real time data tracking and downtime reduction with Redzone!
Pros

Realtime data tracking! We can now monitor the performance of the entire factory from our iPads. The app Is simple and we can easily manage new users and products through the admin app. We no longer need to manually record downtime and Redzone saves us more time allowing us to focus on reducing it.

Cons

The initial setup was confusing. We encountered issues with assets, asset types and locations. However everything started to make sense as we began using the system. It took some time to get used to and required adjustments to fine-tune it to our needs.

Running meetings more effectively with Redzone!
Pros

The app truly gives our frontline operators a voice. They can comment, take photos and record videos of any downtime issues. We can also create actions based on downtime. The information is accessible to everyone and as a supervisor I can oversee all my lines and manage them easily. The coaching provided was excellent and the practice week sessions helped us understand the system better preparing us for the actual coaching.

Cons

Currently, we're in the GMT +8 timezone, so if we have any support-related questions, we have to wait until the afternoon for feedback. It would be great if they had a support office in the Far East.

I find Redzone very intuitive and user friendly. It's easy to navigate and supports multiple languages. The real time data enables quicker decision making helping us react promptly to reduce downtime.

Cons

Initially, we had limited knowledge of how the downtime codes, product groups, and manufacturing types would appear in Redzone, so we simply submitted the master data. It took a few days to get used to and understand how everything was related. However, the support team was excellent in helping us re-upload everything.

Redzone provides me with insights into line performance and allows me to oversee the reasons for line downtime. I can easily react to the data and make necessary adjustments through my team to resolve any issues.

Cons

On some products the admins who set up the run rate differ from the plan, resulting in data showing more than 120% performance which isn't realistic.

I find the Redzone software extremely simple as it simplify downtime tracking. We no longer rely on pen and paper. Making adjustments is easy, and the data is readily accessible.

Cons

Pros

The most significant impact was the structured downtime recording which sensitized us to the importance of stopping machines for valid reasons. Improved communication between departments and shifts was another major benefit. Redzone is easiest software for employees at every level. Integration was easy, and everyone quickly adapted to it.

Cons

Like any integration with new software, there are challenges but the support team and coach were very responsive.

Pros

I love having all our quality and production records in one place. It eliminates the need to track down supervisors and operators for missed checks. Having Redzone on my tablet makes it easier to communicate and stay informed about plant issues even when I'm not onsite. The coaching provided is excellent and they are extremely helpful. Initially I had some reservations about the investment in Redzone but with the coaching, it has become effortless!

I appreciate the ability to assess the performance of each huddle line. During the huddle, I can directly communicate with the leader of each line, who informs me about any issues they are facing. This allows me to provide support to the appropriate person. By making minor adjustments during each review, we are progressing in the right direction.

Cons

The huddle feature is excellent, but when the line is busy it creates additional pressure for everyone. Our top priority is completing orders, and I would love to have access to it on my phone, but unfortunately, it's not available for Android.

I appreciate Redzone because it offers an overview of the production lines. However, it is important that users are properly trained and enter accurate information. If incorrect data is entered, we may encounter quality issues and lose track of our progress. Nevertheless, the system is user friendly enough to identify and rectify any inaccuracies, ensuring appropriate training is provided to the responsible individuals.

Cons

We still need to ensure that our line leaders receive proper training on the system. Additionally, it takes extra time for new employees to familiarize themselves with the system. The language support is limited, and not all languages are covered.

Pros

I work in the dispatch area, which is separate from the danger zone. Redzone has significantly improved our communication. We can instantly view when the high risk area experiences downtime and the reasons behind it. Likewise, if we encounter a stoppage, the high risk area can also see it. We no longer need to resort to loud noises and gestures through the glass partition.

Cons

There was a tendency to solely blame dispatch for all the downtime, but the data showed that it wasn't the case 100% of the time. This helped us identify the root causes of problems, and both sides started working together towards resolution.

All the necessary information is easily accessible on the iPads and TV displays throughout the shop floor. Updates occur instantly, and everyone has control over their tasks. The app effectively connects different departments and individuals, promoting efficient communication. We can effortlessly send messages within the app, and raising issues is a breeze.

Cons

The sensors can be incredibly frustrating when they provide incorrect information. Unfortunately theres nothing we can do from the production side except wait for an engineer to resolve the issue. Its quite disappointing to have such a great system rendered useless in the meantime.

The system provides real time data, which is easily understandable. All departments are now synchronized and operating with a common focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency). It brings joy to see our live performance, and we even engage in friendly internal competition.

Cons

I wish the system refreshed a bit faster. Currently, theres a 30 second time delay between the product passing the sensors and the information appearing on the TV displays. Having this system earlier would have been fantastic.

Redzone grants me an overview of the entire shop floor. Even when I need to step away from the warehouse, I can still oversee the area and provide support where necessary.

Cons

I'm extremely satisfied with the overall system, but once the 90s day package is completed, its up to our internal engineers to maintain the sensors. These sensors are crucial to our success, and if they provide inaccurate information, we will be left in the dark.

Redzone is userfriendly allowing me to monitor my line's performance via the Apple TV in the office, even when I am not on the shop floor. Witnessing my performance every day brings satisfaction and it's delightful to stay in the "Green." Entering downtime reasons and making changes if any mistakes occur is a simple task.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that Redzone is limited to Apple devices, and I only have an Android phone. Consequently, I can't access Redzone on my phone. Additionally, the sensors sometimes give faulty readings, requiring intervention from an engineer.

The system is effortless to use. After learning the login process and updating my details, using it daily is a breeze. All the relevant information is displayed on one screen. I can easily identify the top downtime, monitor my line's speed, track the product I'm manufacturing, and assess my progress. The Apple TV provides a visually appealing overview of how other areas are performing.

Cons

Since its not available on Android devices, I would like to be able to monitor how the line is performing even when I'm not at work. It also relies on a good Wifi connection but there are Wifi dead zones in my area, so I have to move around to stay connected.

Cons

Some situations are not very practical and we have to adjust our working habits to accommodate the system. For instance when counting units and entering the data on paper, we can mark in increments and provide the final value at the end. However, with Redzone, we can only enter the final value, which could lead to potential mistakes.

It takes some time to get used to and learn about the admin app.The initial setup requires precise data to be uploaded into the system. During huddles or meetings, there can be a bit of pressure to type a lot of information in a short amount of time.

Redzone has facilitated communication between different departments, streamlining the process. The tablets have made production and health & safety checks more convenient, even offline.

Cons

Upfront, it requires a substantial time investment to prepare the compliance templates. Additionally, additional training is needed for Power BI/cloud reports. The software also has certain limitations.

Great product but very expensive
Pros

The compliance module is an excellent tool for paperless documentation of various quality information, such as photos, videos, and text. The timing functions ensure timely execution of quality checks, and creating new checks is relatively straightforward. There is a wide range of structures and formats available, allowing thorough and efficient documentation of any task. The downtime communication, problem tracking, and communication tools (like huddles) are highly effective.

Cons

Our environment is not complex or highly automated. It's a fairly simple system so tracking OEE wasnot very impactful and probably not worth the high cost.
