“easiest 2D 3D CAD , assembly and standard parts program”
Pros
What I like the most about Solid Edge is its user-friendly and efficient 2D drawing CAD tools, 3D tools, as well as the ability to easily select planes and surfaces for assembling.
Cons
I am not a fan of error messages that don't offer troubleshooting or provide sufficient information for solving the issue.

“Powerful design software”
Pros
When it comes to designing parts and creating assemblies, this software is incredibly powerful. I have widely used it for designing parts in lab setups, and I must say it is impressively capable. Also the level of precision in design work is outstanding, thanks to the software's rich detailing. Additionally, its wide array of features proves immensely helpful in handling complex designs.
Cons
One drawback of Solid Edge is the steep learning curve. Due to the software's wide range of features, in the beginning it can be a bit difficult for anyone to use it. However, with experience, Solid Edge becomes an excellent tool for designing parts and assemblies.

“Delaval user-Production engineer”
Pros
This software is user-friendly and intuitive, even if you are transitioning from another program. It offers numerous options that facilitate swift drawing.
Cons
There are some areas where certain options could work better. For instance, cutting multiple shapes simultaneously in the model using the cut tool. Perhaps my preference is influenced by my previous experience with different software that had a different approach.

“The Review of Solid Edge”
Pros
Solid Edge efficiently designs and models components and assemblies while operating swiftly and smoothly. Compared to other CAD software, it is simpler to learn and use. To ensure error-free production, we can generate and analyze 2D designs. The customer service is excellent, providing assistance whenever needed. The drawing capabilities are outstanding which allows the creation of quick and high-quality sketches. The Australian support team is exceptional, and the software is more robust and stable than other brands. Solid Edge is the ideal CAD software for beginners due to its user-friendly interface and easy-to-understand functionality, enabling seamless creation of 2D to 3D designs.
Cons
One major issue I encountered while using the software was that all my features and assemblies were based on the parent sketch when constructing an assembly in the "ordered environment." As designs evolved, my assembly would either not update or change when I made adjustments to the sketch, or it would frequently become unstable. I had to manually update it, which required hours of work. This issue mainly occurred with large assemblies.

“Good CAD tool”
Pros
Regardless of the environment, be it classic or orderly, this application boasts a highly impressive user interface. In 2D or drafting, geometric tolerances and symbols can be assigned to any dimension pretty easily. The range of options available are a lot. Opening .stp files and converting files to STEP format is simple process compared to other applications. After converting a 3D drawing to 2D, it is possible to modify the 2D drawing. Detailed views and cross-sections can also be added effortlessly. No need to create holes to incorporate threads.
Cons
Directly creating holes on curved and cylindrical surfaces is not possible. First, we have to create a plane before we can create holes. If we create a drawing in synchronous mode, extrude it and later make changes to the drawing, the modifications won't be reflected in the extruded parts. The pattern command can be somewhat complex.

“Best All Round 3D Software that you can own outright”
Pros
I personally own it. While there is a maintenance fee for upgrades, if I don't plan on upgrading the software, there are no ongoing fees. Inventor provides a 365-day user license. Personally, I'm not a fan of such programs.
Cons
If you want to upgrade from, let's say, ST8 to ST11, they require you to pay the maintenance fees for the years you didn't use it. I find this shocking. They should treat me as a new customer and only charge a one time fee for the new software.

“How to select Engineering Design and Manufacturing software?”
Pros
Solid Edge is reasonably priced software that integrates exceptionally well with the high-end software known as Unigraphics. This means that I can easily transfer data from Solid Edge to Unigraphics for advanced functionalities like creating digital manufacturing data, conducting high-end analysis, live simulation and impressive presentations.
Cons
It lacks certain surfacing functionalities, and when working with large 3D solid models, it requires significant resources to function properly.

“3D Modeling Application”
Pros
It excels in 3D modeling for machine design and part drawing. Additionally, it offers simulation and stress analysis, a fantastic feature that adds value to the application.
Cons
The 2D drawing options are not enough. I believe the software is more specialized in modeling and doesn't excel in civil drawing and 2D drawings.
