“Powerful automation and email
Pros
Ontraport is incredibly functional. The email marketing campaigns work super well with great deliverability and the automation features are very powerful.
Cons
The email designs look like they're from a different decade and finding your way around the tool is confusing. It definitely takes time to get the hang of it. I also really need a way to see where my website visitors are coming from.

“Excellent all-in-one support
Pros
Their support is out of this world! It's impressive to have such a well-developed, all-in-one solution backed by a team that answers quickly and reliably.
Cons
I'm honestly drawing a blank on what they could do better right now.

“easy-to-use templates
Pros
I think the variety of templates and how easy it is to use are definitely among its best features.
Cons
Every so often, I felt like I was doing the same thing again and again. I also had to check a preview of every email since the finished one never matched what I saw while I was putting it together.

“Intuitive automation
Pros
The automation system has a slightly different approach than some tools but it makes sense and is surprisingly intuitive once you start working with it.
Cons
It doesn't have the self-operating tasks that would really help me out. I suppose other types of companies might be fine without them but my operation needs them.

“All in one but relatively costly
Pros
This tool lets me automate and optimize my entire marketing strategy. I can handle social media, email ads, A/B testing, track website visitors for better conversions and analyze the results.. all in one place.
Cons
My biggest issue is that it's pretty pricey. Other than the cost, I haven't had any serious troubles with the software.

“User-friendly platform
Pros
What I liked most is how user-friendly it is. You can send marketing emails in just a few clicks, manage your leads and keep track of sales effortlessly.
Cons
We needed more complex controls for our automated processes and this was missing them. That's the primary reason we packed up and moved to a different customer system.

“poor for nonprofits
Pros
Email marketing, landing page creator and even the ability to text donors are fantastic. My nonprofit initially used a portion of a for-profit account to save money but we've since moved to a dedicated donor management system.
Cons
This is a terrible choice for charity work. We had to build our own entire system for handling donors from the ground up. Using Stripe for payments worked but we wanted built-in options, like letting contributors pay the service charges.

“Great automations
Pros
The automations are great. You can build entire campaigns that automate a whole series of tasks and triggers from a single place.
Cons
It doesn't link up with many of the other apps my team relies on. The analytics screen and the way it displays your data isn't as sharp as what you get with a platform like Keap.

“Simple and effective for email list management
Pros
Collecting data is simple. Seeing how many people opened and clicked is a huge help for managing an email list.
Cons
A couple of the progress trackers don't always function properly. It's intermittent but I recently had a problem with my text messages. I will give a shout-out to Chase, though, who was awesome and helped me get to the bottom of it.

“Outstanding sales page designs
Pros
Their sales page designs are outstanding and incredibly easy to create and set up! The very first funnel I built generated thousands of dollars in sales within just a few days.
Cons
I really didn't get along with their contact system when I tried it. It felt bulky and disorganized and I wasted so many hours fixing mistakes by having to remove and then add contacts again.

“Helpful tracking
Pros
The email management and sales data tracking are incredibly helpful and critical for my business. There were a lot of tools I didn't use which were probably better suited for a larger company.
Cons
You end up paying for a huge bundle of tools, even if you only need one or two. If you just want to manage your email list, there are cheaper places to go. But for running your entire client operation, this could be a solid pick.

“Great support
Pros
Honestly, I'm not the best at using Ontraport. So the biggest pro for me is the exceptional customer service. Having an expert I can access who can immediately tell me what's wrong with my scripts or automations is a lifesaver, because it can get confusing fast.
Cons
I sometimes have problems using it with certain internet browsers. For example the only way you can change a postcard is if you open it in Firefox which isn't a browser we usually have installed.

It served its purpose well for contact management.

Clicking to a new page always made me wait. The lag was really noticeable every single time.

“Smooth automations
Pros
I love working with the automations and how smoothly Ontraport integrates with other platforms like Google Sheets and Jotform.
Cons
A few parts, like how it handles product stock, could use a much simpler layout. The way it's currently set up feels more complex than it should be.
