create orders and upload photos live

Pros

Being able to generate work orders immediately while I'm on-site, upload photos right away and receive real-time feedback makes field tasks much smoother for me.

Cons

I would like to see expanded notification settings because on occasion I overlook an update and then end up hunting through the system for the work order which can significantly delay my workflow when I missed the initial alert.

great for inventory but took time to learn

Pros

Having used Coast I liked its inventory management capabilities which strike me as forward-looking and, were they able to integrate with staff records or personnel data, would provide even greater value to our operations.

Cons

Although it required most of my free trial period to fully grasp the various ins and outs of the platform, once I persevered through that learning curve I found the system to be quite impressive.

Simple shift and task management

Pros

Coast organizes the way I organize shifts, monitor task completion and rapidly communicate with my whole team which noticeably boosts our overall efficiency.

Cons

I appreciate its features but there are moments during high-traffic periods when notification volume becomes excessive. I also would benefit from more powerful reporting and analytics to analyze shift trends and performance.

create orders on site instantly

Pros

I truly like that I'm able to create work orders on the spot as I walk the job site while also instantly uploading photos in real time so that documentation is always current and accurate.

Cons

One thing I wish for is a wider range of notification options..... when I happen to miss an initial message or update I end up having to search manually for the relevant work order which can noticeably slow me down if I didn't catch which one it was.

Onboarding is fast, history is on the spot

Pros

As soon as we started onboarding was incredibly quick and within less than ten minutes my technicians were already doing productive work which impressed me by scanning QR-code asset tags I can retrieve an asset's service history immediately on site while the integrated chat associates each message with its corresponding work order, support responds within minutes and remains engaged until the issue is resolved and the reports clearly break down labour hours and parts expenditures.

Cons

Occasionally the schedule interface becomes sluggish when two people attempt edits simultaneously which has caused synchronization delays in my experience :contentReference , additionally, there are only a handful of built-in connections to our accounting system so we resort to exporting CSV files on a weekly basis and the dashboard layout is inflexible because widgets cannot be rearranged yet.

User-friendly and smart but pricey

Pros

Personally what I like most about Coast is its interactive design and ease of use since it arrives thoughtfully pre-configured yet still allows me to tweak settings and tailor workflows to our specific requirements without being forced into lengthy implementation schedules or specialized installations.

Cons

I have found that the cost structure tends to be on the higher side for small and mid-market teams and as our headcount increases the per-user fees can escalate rapidly which makes budget planning difficult , it would greatly benefit organizations like ours if Coast offered more adaptable pricing models, for example, discounted bundles for multiple seats, or a lower-cost 'view-only' license aimed at stakeholders who merely need to consult dashboards and reports rather than full editing capabilities.

Best for real-time team talk

Pros

What I liked most about Coast was how effortlessly I could collaborate with my teammates in real time, as the platform's interface made synchronous work smooth and interactive, additionally because the design adjusts so reliably to mobile screens, I was able to remain connected and manage tasks on the move without losing continuity.

Cons

I found the least satisfying part to be the relative constraint in customization options which felt to me somewhat limited and prevented me from shaping workflows and notification behavior as precisely as our team needed , ideally, I would have liked more granular flexibility to adapt processes and alerts to our specific requirements.

great for tracking stock and value

Pros

For me keeping track of and administering inventory has become remarkably simple thanks to this platform and I particularly like how easily I can inspect the monetary value and accumulated depreciation of our assets and equipment--everything is consolidated in a single location and presented in a way that's easy to grasp.

Cons

I've found Coast to align perfectly with my goals and requirements so much so that I genuinely have no complaints to raise , it fulfills every function I require and executes those tasks reliably and effectively.

Simple for teams but too basic for big jobs

Pros

I find the interface to be simple and uncluttered, enabling team messaging, task assignments and scheduling to be handled in one consolidated space which helps keep everyone connected and aligned.

Cons

While I recognize that the platform's feature set and overall capabilities are more constrained compared with enterprise-grade tools such as Microsoft Teams or Slack I found that it falls short for managing complex workflows.

Made my asset management easy

Pros

Using Coast has taken much of the hassle out of my life by streamlining how I manage assets, caring for them attentively and making the process far more manageable.

Cons

Personally I find that the user interface is not something I can tolerate for long stretches as it feels tiring and doesn't support prolonged use.

great for service teams on the go

Pros

As a member of the service crew I find the app extremely useful because it enables teams like ours to update tasks in real time, report issues quickly and maintain effortless communication while working remotely or travelling and the easy user interface makes maintenance staff comfortable using it regularly.

Cons

While I appreciate the overall functionality I have noticed that several capabilities lack the granularity needed to monitor long-term performance metrics or to analyze patterns in machine downtime over extended periods which limits our ability to identify trends.

best for tasks and tracking costs

Pros

For me the application's clear, user-centric interface and naturally interactive layout significantly simplified the way I organize tasks and monitor expenses making those processes remarkably easy and efficient.

Cons

I did observe that the platform offers a rather narrow set of integrations with other accounting and business management applications which in my experience can reduce its flexibility for companies that depend on a wider suite of interconnected software tools.

We gave Coast a shot and this is what we found...

Pros

When it comes to customer support, they are by far the most responsive. We submitted a request, and they developed the necessary resource to optimize our efficiency in Coast. They truly listen to us.

Cons

I selected this system because it offers QR codes for assets. It would be convenient to have a portable printer with small, sticky, and durable labels. With millions of items to tag in Coast (including machinery, equipment, vehicles, doors, exit signs, and more), it would be ideal to tag them as they are entered into the system, ensuring proper maintenance and checks throughout their lifespan.
