Great Strategy Tool
Pros

The integration offerings matched a lot of other enterprise tools I used, which was a key factor in deciding on a Product tool. I was also impressed with the level of onboarding support I was provided with - thank you!

Cons

I experienced initial hiccups with setup, but these were quickly resolved thanks to an attentive and hands-on client success manager.

Dragonboat has been a game changer for my team
Pros

Dragonboat has made it easy for me to have a central source of truth for the road mapping of dozens of products. I admire how I can easily manage my upcoming work and collaborate on larger projects by leveraging higher level initiatives. The great filter and dashboard features allow me to quickly see different views of the product portfolio.

Cons

I wish it were a little easier to share Dragonboat views outside of Product Management at scale. They provide the basics where I can publish public views and publish views for individuals. However, I'd love to have groups of external users so I could share a version of the roadmap with the sales team.

Flexible Roadmapping Tool for the Agile Product Manager
Pros

It is a very flexible tool that allows me, as a product owner, to manage my roadmaps the way I prefer to, yet still make it possible to roll-up what is important at the enterprise level, such as resource needs. The tool is super flexible, enabling me to organize the backlog of Epics by timeframe, initiatives, sub-roadmaps, OKR's, theme, or any number of other fields. Assigning T-shirt size effort is easy with inline editing, similar to Excel. The Portfolio List, which allows quick changes to the view and further provides capability to group and summarize effort, ended up being the easiest part of my planning. The dashboard view makes it super easy for me to visualize the roadmap without overwhelming the audience I am sharing it with.

Cons

For my team, which has many increases and decreases throughout the quarters, the resource capacity was not as robust as I would have liked. I would have preferred more refinement of when resources started. For teams with a more constant size, this would not be an issue.

Continuous strategic planning and alignment with Dragonboat
Pros

By using Dragonboat, I am able to better plan our product development process. I can now work with engineering and product managers from a bottom-up perspective and my executive leadership team from a top-down perspective. I can see what we are trying to achieve, where we are trying to go, what the major initiatives and projects are that we need to do, how resources tie to features that tie to business objectives, and more. The roll-up reporting from Jira to OKRs has really made a huge impact on providing insights into what we're doing and what we're going to achieve. Now I can have a good conversation with executives with a known understanding of the data.

Cons

I don't have many issues. The support team has been really helpful and has assisted us in rolling out the tool every step of the way. Whenever there's an issue, they address it quickly.

Great product
Pros

Dragonboat is an excellent tool that helps me with building out a roadmap and makes it easy to see what my priorities are. The Jira integration comes in very handy.

Cons

I've found the solution to be buggy, but I understand that we purchased the tool during its growth phase.

Best product portfolio management tool for the outcome-driven organization
Pros

What I love about Dragonboat is that it's much more than just a product portfolio management software. It enables a framework for how to run a successful product company. It's insightful and intuitive. Every outcome-focused product organization should use it.

Cons

I don't have many issues to report. It took a bit of time to translate our structure into Dragonboat, but their support team has been very helpful, promptly answering our questions and needs.

Ultimate winner among product portfolio management tools
Pros

This software is adaptive for my company's operating model, with all necessary features in place. It's easy to onboard and get first results.

Cons

I encounter some non-blocker issues from time to time. The UI/UX is a bit outdated, but still manageable.

Great one-stop product for OKR cascade across the product-led business
Pros

The features I like the most are the quarterly planning with OKR cascade in the Timeline view. Once I set up strategic goals and OKRs for the quarter, it's very easy to link tracks, features, and ideas. I like that I can easily see the high-level picture in one view and can drill down if needed.

Cons

I would love to have a more comprehensive Allocation Report. At the end of the quarter, I generate a shareholder report by resource allocation. It would be great to have the same OKR cascade that's on the Timeline view (strategic goals, OKRs, features, ideas, etc.) coupled with time allocation by discipline. For example, I want to be able to produce a pie chart showing that in Q2 we spent X% of resources by time on strategic goal Y as measured by OKR1.

Good for Any Size Company or Business
Pros

It is very adaptable to whatever the size of my company or business. One of my favorite features is the Dashboard Snapshot. This is the view I use with senior leadership. They like the simplicity of it, and they can instantly know how things are going with any one of the strategic initiatives.

Cons

Nothing really stands out. There have been hiccups here and there, but their team responds quickly and releases tons of amazing features rapidly.

All-in-one product planning, roadmapping and tracking tool
Pros

Resource planning, quarterly alignment, and roadmapping are the main problems that brought me to Dragonboat. I have been able to increase team collaboration for product prioritization, incorporate quarterly alignment into our processes, and increase visibility into our roadmap.

Cons

I find Dragonboat to be a powerful tool, although it requires a bit of a learning curve to get properly set up.

Easy and lightweight with no change to our current Jira process
Pros

We had been using spreadsheets for quarterly planning, but it became unmanageable. I found Dragonboat to be easy and lightweight with no change to our current Jira process. I love that it's easy to manage dependencies and resources in a visual way, we're now able to identify bottlenecks way up front.

Cons

Like with any new tool, there was a learning curve when I started, but my team quickly figured it out and integrated it into our overall process.
