“fantastic collaboration hub”
Pros
Creates an excellent space for developers to collaborate. The interface feels adaptive making communication, issue tracking and pull request handling much more smooth. Features such as code reviews, team conversations and project boards really encourage teamwork and help developers coordinate their work effectively.
Cons
That said, it can feel a bit overwhelming for newcomers especially anyone who is not familiar with version control. Concepts like branching, pull requests and forking come with a learning curve that may put some beginners off. More detailed documentation and step-by-step guided tutorials would go a long way toward making the platform more approachable.

“helpful for project review”
Pros
One of the most useful parts for me is using it for project reviews and document analysis. It really helps when going through work, checking details and managing project-related documents in a practical way.
Cons
The customer service from it is honestly not very convincing right now. They really need to improve it if they want to build more trust with customers and keep people satisfied.

“Offers constant updates”
Pros
Everything feels quick on the website, it's simple to navigate and they keep rolling out new features and improvements on a regular basis. The GitHub Desktop app also integrates really well with the service and works reliably.
Cons
Even though the site is fast most of the time, it does occasionally load a bit slowly now and then.

“adaptive and quick”
Pros
Compared with my past experience using TFS, BitBucket and similar tools, it feels much more adaptive. It's simple to work with, adds plenty of useful features and everything runs quickly.
Cons
One thing that's really frustrating is the billing for personal accounts. I can get invoices for the company account but not for an individual user account which is very annoying.

“Version control features are great”
Pros
One of the best parts of it is how it lets you keep multiple versions of the same code and save every stage of a project as it evolves. It's also really useful for stashing changes, cloning an entire project in seconds and handling a lot of other development tasks efficiently.
Cons
A downside is that it can feel very complicated especially when you're just starting out and still trying to learn how everything works. The pricing also feels a bit expensive and the overall environment can be intimidating for beginners.

“collaboration that keeps teams aligned”
Pros
It gives teams one central place to work on projects together. It makes collaboration simple, lets people share code quickly and helps everyone contribute to each other's work without much friction.
Cons
Public repositories can be viewed by anyone online so code may be copied and reused without permission. It does offer private repositories as an option but that feature requires a paid subscription.

“all-in-one developer hub”
Pros
Brings source control, documentation, issue tracking and more into one place. Everything works together really well and it's especially useful that you can reference specific lines of code across different commits. The academic pricing is also incredibly generous.
Cons
There honestly isn't much to complain about with it since it handles so many things well. That said, a few smaller areas could still be improved, like user administration and offering a way for people to sign up for an organization directly instead of only being invited.

“clean interface”
Pros
The interface feels very simple, with file locations, descriptions and other details laid out clearly. Connecting it to your own code or repository is also simple and most of the important buttons are placed conveniently near the top.
Cons
A few friends of mine who are less comfortable with technology have had a bit of trouble finding their way around the site, like figuring out they need to click "To File" or go into the assets section to download files. It's not a major issue though.

“huge community”
Pros
I ended up using the Version control tool the most and a big reason is the massive community around it. Because so many people use it, it's very easy to find tutorials, videos and guides that show how to do just about anything with it.
Cons
Learning curve is definitely steep at first but once you get past that, using it becomes a really good experience.

“powerful dev workflow hub”
Pros
From day-to-day coding to team coordination, this platform covers a lot. The integration with IDEs works really well and features like GitHub Workflows, Codespaces, Copilot and issue tracking make development much more connected. Team collaboration is solid and it also integrates with many external systems which adds a lot of flexibility.
Cons
RBAC could definitely be more granular. On the pricing side, the enterprise plan can get pretty expensive and the same goes for Codespaces and Github Copilot. It would be much better if those were offered at a more nominal price.
