It gives me complete control over my work and I can manage my projects well with it.

Cons

This tool sure gives you complete control over your projects.. but to achieve that control you're often required to learn the desktop app and CLI... that can be hard initially.

Working on the same project with a large team feels effortless with it. It's simple to use and it offers a huge amount of code storage that we can reuse in our projects as many times as we need.

Right away, this platform covers a wide range of needs across the entire development lifecycle. It lets you host code, review it with plenty of tools and use it for other tasks like deploying code through a CI/CD pipeline. I also appreciate how well it connects with third-party services. The interface is simple to work with and sharing code repositories is very convenient. If you have a premium account, features like private repositories are a big plus. It's also one of the best platforms for open-source contributions, with a ready-made pipeline setup that helps with application deployment. Also the community support is huge.

Cons

Control over commands especially in the terminal area, could be better. Managing different versions of the same code written by multiple people can also be challenging. That said merging and branch handling are actually excellent.

It's version control is definitely one of its biggest strengths. The interface feels simple while still looking polished and appealing. It also comes with plenty of built-in tools and the platform is clearly well maintained.

Cons

One downside even if there are not many, is that a lot of its useful features are not very easy to discover. Because of that, you often have to rely on external sources to figure out how to use them.

Everything feels simple to use and sending updated code to Github happens smoothly which makes it simple to keep track of every change.

Pushing code still takes several steps so that part could definitely be more organized.

Issue tracking and code management have been the biggest wins for us. We use it to share code snippets and keep tabs on customer issues and it handles both really well.

Getting started took some time because there was a bit of a learning curve and we had to figure out the best way to fit it into our workflow. Once we got past that though, it became part of our day-to-day work.

Keeping code versioned and staying on top of possible issues is exactly where this tool shines. When you're working across multiple applications, being able to track every change is absolutely essential. I also really enjoy the website especially how simple it is to browse and find source code shared by other developers.

Having access to a free trial gave our business the chance to properly evaluate whether this software would actually be useful for us. At the beginning, it can be a little challenging to figure out how the software works. That said once you spend some time with it and get some practice, it becomes much easier to use.

Pros

Writing clean code and pushing projects into production with fewer errors has been much more manageable with this tool. It also lets me share repositories across different work teams, review updates and track every change which really helps keep multiple projects moving forward. The level of security is strong and the fact that it is backed by Microsoft adds extra confidence and peace of mind.

Cons

Even with the strong security it offers, the human factor still matters a lot. Mistakes or simple oversights can happen and that can leave stored code exposed to the public if people are not careful.

When you're handling many projects or repositories at once, keeping the code updated can start to feel a bit tiring.

Some other tools offer similar features at a lower price but aside from that, it's still a very good piece of software.
