“feature-packed for team coding”
Pros
Packed with useful features, this tool does a really good job for code hosting, version control and team collaboration.
Cons
One thing that isn't very clear is how to approve a pull request since there doesn't seem to be an obvious option for it.

“Great tool”
Pros
Github Team has become an essential platform for us. It lets us manage versions, build, test, validate and deploy software improvements all in one place. It's also a core part of the open-source world.
Cons
Deleting a folder is still consistently very difficult.

“fantastic platform for developers”
Pros
It has been the best platform for my development work because of the features it offers. I can manage my applications with just a click and deploying them only takes a single command. It's also very simple to use which makes everything more convenient. Also Github being free for everyone is a huge advantage and a big reason why I consider it such an excellent software.
Cons
For the past year ive used it.. i haven't run into any major issues. The only small problem I've noticed is that the mobile version UI isn't very responsive. Because of that, I sometimes have to switch my browser to desktop mode to access more features. I hope the developers improve this part in the future.

“Keeps projects organized”
Pros
This tool , for me, is where I manage both my personal and professional work... and it does a fantastic job helping me stay on top of projects, bugs and code. One feature I really appreciate is the built-in wiki which gives each project its own dedicated space. I can start a new project and add notes right away and if needed, I can leave comments on files I create. Once I commit changes, the wiki updates too which makes it very simple to follow the whole process.
Cons
Overall my experience has been very positive so this is only a small issue. I'm quite happy with the platform in general but as a developer, I still wish there were a proper Linux version. A lot of developers around the world work on Linux and it still hasn't fully delivered complete Linux support.

“Impressive automations”
Pros
Being able to use GitActions to automate deployments and workflows across other cloud platforms like Azure is a big advantage. It adds a lot of flexibility and makes the software especially useful for teams working in multi-cloud environments.
Cons
Interface is not very user-friendly and it takes watching a lot of videos before things start to make sense. It would be much better if there were built-in tutorials directly on the page to help new users learn faster.

“It's a great tool”
Pros
This tool works really well whether you're collaborating with others or handling projects on your own. It's especially helpful for group work because every team member can suggest changes, follow version history and use branch protection to keep everything organized along the way.
Cons
Feels pretty complex at first so learning all of the features and functionality can take some time in the beginning.

“Impressive!”
Pros
There's a massive range of software on the platform so you can usually find just about anything you're looking for.
Cons
One thing that throws me off is figuring out which files are actually available to download and which one I'm supposed to click to open. It feels a bit confusing especially if you're not very experienced with it.

“Integrations are great”
Pros
A clean, modern interface makes it really convenient to manage source code and bug tickets right in the browser. The free tier is more than enough for pretty much any open-source project you want to host and maintain on It. It also connects well with outside services for things like code scanning, automated builds and deployment workflows. Also it's even handy for signing up or logging into various developer-focused websites.
Cons
Github Actions could use better documentation since that can make them a bit harder to set up and implement at times.

“trusted code hosting and security”
Pros
It covers a lot for source code management, including security, code reviews, tracking, maintenance and more. It's one of the best platforms out there and I feel confident trusting it with my code.
Cons
Every now and then, it can be a bit confusing for newer users and in rare cases code may get lost if someone is inexperienced.

“excellent code hosting”
Pros
This software is actually a really strong place to host our company projects. The standout features for me are issue tracking, the ability to comment directly on committed code inside repositories and tagging specific developers so feedback reaches the right people quickly.
Cons
One downside is that it still misses more advanced project management capabilities, like detailed roadmaps and Gantt charts. Because of that, I still need to rely on other tools to handle overall project management.

Pros
Among the source management tools out there, this feels like one of the most secure and fastest options on the market. It's simple to use for reviewing commits and pull requests and there's also a huge range of open-source libraries available.
Cons

“organized version control wins”
Pros
Version control and source code management are handled really well and everything stays organized. It supports separate commits and multiple branches which makes tracking changes much more manageable.
Cons
I feel like it could do a better job of explaining how commits are organized. The initial setup is a bit tricky and the command line can feel hard to work with.

“Had a positive experience”
Pros

Cons
The code review features could be better. Also, once a change is approved, the PR author can technically still modify anything in the code before merging which could become a problem.
