“fantastic hosting and automation”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages of it is that it gives free hosting for open-source software through public repositories and it also includes unlimited private repositories at no cost. On top of basic Git repository hosting, there's a broad set of free companion tools and services that add a lot of value. A few I use the most are Github Pages for hosting static sites, Github Actions for handling builds without needing a separate third-party build server, although private projects do have a cap on Action minutes, and it's extensive API which makes it possible to automate tasks like creating repositories, cloning them and other interactions.
Cons
The project management side feels fairly basic, mostly centered around a Scrum-style board. At times, the interface can also feel a little awkward to move through since getting to certain areas takes quite a few clicks.

“Excellent tool for all”
Pros
It has been an excellent platform for building, creating, collaborating on and deploying projects for anyone interested in development. You can just upload your files or code and get started right away and from there others can contribute without much effort. It's simple enough for beginners to use and the huge community makes it even better because there's always something to learn from others.
Cons
After using it for a long time, I honestly haven't come across any feature that I dislike.

“Good repo management”
Pros
Setting up repositories and keeping codebases organized is really simple. Having support for both public and private repos works perfectly and the user management features are excellent too.
Cons
The search feature could use some work since it occasionally brings back results that aren't actually relevant.

“Had a good experience”
Pros
It stands out as one of the best tools for version control and it does an excellent job of keeping all my work stored safely in one place.
Cons
This software is good overall but public repositories can still be modified by anyone who has access through the available SSH link so that part should be improved.

I've been using it for many years now and I still haven't run into any server-side issues at all.

Only downside is the pricing and that part really needs some improvement.

“best ui with hidden gems”
Pros
Right away, it feels like it has one of the best interfaces available in any version control platform. A recent addition I really enjoy is being able to open a project in an embedded Visual Studio IDE just by pressing ".". You still get all the standard git commands like with any git-based version control tool but Also, a lot of actions can also be handled very conveniently through the desktop app or the web app.
Cons
A few features especially things like project planning, are not explained very clearly. With more tutorials showing how to use them, I think a lot more people would actually start taking advantage of them. It really seems like it has quite a few valuable features hidden away that many users simply never discover.

“Amazing CI/CD”
Pros
The interface was simple to understand and use without much effort. I didn't have to go through all the documentation just to get comfortable with it which made getting started much quicker. The part I appreciate the most is the CI/CD and it has been especially useful for my work at the office.
Cons
I've been using it for the past two years and honestly I haven't come across anything I dislike about it.

“An excellent tool”
Pros
Getting started with it was pretty simple and I really appreciate that it's open source and works well with a wide range of other platforms.
Cons
That said the interface does feel a bit outdated especially when compared with Bitbucket.

“fast file tracking”
Pros
One thing that really stands out on it is how quickly it reads files while tracking code. It handles that faster than any other application I've used. Also, being able to use it for free is another big advantage.
Cons
It works really well across the board so I honestly don't have anything I dislike about it.

“Trusted support”
Pros
This is the biggest software development platform out there and its powerful tools along with excellent support make building your next app or website much more manageable. That's exactly why I put so much trust in it.
Cons
Working together on the same project can be difficult at times. The collaboration approach still needs some improvement.

“excellent for team code management”
Pros
This has been really helpful for managing code across everyone and keeping collaboration organized while working with a large team.
Cons
When searching for specific text in the repository, it tends to return too many results. It would be much better to have an option for a stricter search.

“code uploads that just work”
Pros
Out of all the software I've used, this has been the best one so far. Everything about it has been good. The interface is simple to understand and the features are just as simple to use. The best part is being able to upload and download source code without any hassle.
Cons
At this point, I don't really have anything negative to say about the software. I'll keep using it and see whether anything comes up later on.

“massive open-source hub”
Pros
Among developer platforms, it stands out for having the biggest collection of free and open-source software, along with an enormous global developer community. It also includes useful perks like free static website hosting and free code hosting which makes it even more valuable.
Cons
Getting started can be rough because there's very little hand-holding and both the Git protocol and It's interface are far from beginner-friendly. Also, despite the similar names, Git and Github are completely different things which can be confusing at first. It's also owned by Microsoft rather than the community and that may be a downside for some people.

“faster workflows and confident updates”
Pros
Being able to make simple website changes without going through the development team is a big plus. That extra independence makes it much easier to keep the site updated when needed. Git also speeds up the workflow because there's no need to interrupt someone or send emails just to get changes committed. Also, working on a project with Git gives a lot of confidence since it's very hard to make a mistake that can't be undone. Overall it helps projects move forward much faster.
Cons
One thing I'd really want improved is increasing the file size limit to at least 100MB per file. Even a single 4K still image can easily have a source file around that size.
