“i recommend it”
Pros
Github gives you one place to keep your portfolio and projects together. It's also really useful for strengthening your CV when applying for jobs since it helps show your project history and level of involvement. Another big advantage is being able to learn from and use code from other people's projects to support your own work.
Cons
A downside is that private projects are often not shared so there are times when you cant request access or pull the code even when it would be helpful.

Pros
Getting started with it is very simple, from installation to setup and daily use, regardless of how big the team is. They also keep making it better over time. Version control is extremely convenient and collaboration features like pull requests and code reviews work really well. Also, it supports plenty of integrations with other tools.
Cons
There is not much to complain about, aside from the occasional bugs but those usually get fixed pretty quickly.

“fantastic collaboration with git”
Pros
Version control with Git, team collaboration and Github Actions are some of the best parts. It lets several people work on the same project without getting in each other's way and it makes code merging and contribution reviews feel much more efficient.
Cons
Even though Git can be used locally, a lot of it's most important features, like code reviews, issues and pull requests, still rely on having an internet connection.

“repository collaboration is impeccable”
Pros
It's repository CRUD features are what I appreciate most. I use it for all of my projects, create repositories there regularly and work together with my colleagues without much hassle. It's genuinely excellent and it helps make my workflow quicker and more convenient.
Cons
One part I enjoy the least is Git merging. Sometimes it gets stuck when I try to merge with my colleagues' branches especially during rebase situations. At that point, I'm unable to push or pull so I think that part still needs improvement.

“a lifesaver for all”
Pros
This tool works really well with different code editors and the web interface gives a clean overview with the most common commands for managing programming code. The versioning is especially useful because it lets me restore earlier states and also makes it clear what the differences are between each version.
Cons
Its quite complex and definitely takes some time to learn properly. I felt overwhelmed fairly quickly by the large number of commands.

“makes teamwork easier”
Pros
The biggest advantage for me is the version control. And it makes managing projects and keeping track of changes over time really convenient. Also, I can invite my colleagues to access my repositories and collaborate without any trouble.
Cons

“supports portfolio building”
Pros
This tool offers a lot more than just storing, sharing and versioning code. It also works really well for keeping and sharing full projects. The biggest benefit for me is being able to build and present a data science project portfolio on the platform.
Cons
Getting started with it can feel challenging because the learning curve is fairly steep. In the beginning, it does not always seem very user-friendly. Still, after using it consistently for a while, it becomes much easier to appreciate and make better use of everything the platform provides.
