“bug tracking hub”
Pros
Registration is really simple and the tool makes it convenient to monitor status updates, communicate with the team and attach extra images or video files for bugs, ideas or solutions across whatever software projects you're working on.
Cons
If you haven't worked with a tool like this before you might find it difficult to learn initially and the text editor especially takes some understanding when it comes to formatting and preparing content properly.

“quick repository setup”
Pros
The platform delivers a well-rounded toolkit for managing source code. Repository setup is quick and efficient, the private Docker registry adds meaningful value and CI/CD pipeline support is well implemented.
Cons
Configuring and building variables can be a bit tricky. You also can't trigger another CI/CD pipeline from within an existing pipeline which feels limiting. The search feature could use improvement too especially when it comes to searching specific lines of text.

“feature-packed devops platform”
Pros
It covers a huge part of the software development lifecycle and comes packed with features. Running repositories and continuous integration is easy and doesn't take me much effort.
Cons
One area that feels restrictive is the ticketing system since it offers limited configuration options. For instance, you can't create different ticket states so everything has to be managed through labels. That also makes the list feature less useful because inverted queries aren't supported.

“project planning is brilliant”
Pros
Pretty much every DevOps team ends up using this sooner or later for source code management and planning programming work. The repository features are excellent, it saves me a lot of time and the fact that it's free makes it even better.
Cons
A part that still gets frustrating is the API especially having to authenticate for so many small actions. I've also run into plenty of 404 errors over the years so that area could definitely use some improvement.

“powerful open-source git platform”
Pros
This tool has been a great option for keeping costs down since it's free and open source. It comes with a wide range of features and tools that help a lot with managing Git projects. I also really appreciate the browser-based interface since it lets you review and edit code directly without needing to leave the platform.
Cons
Compared with GitHub, it is less organized and usually takes longer to get set up. There are a lot of features and small details built into it which can make the platform feel more complex to learn at first. That said the basic functions are still easy and the more advanced ones usually include notes that help explain how to use them.

Nothing to complain about at the moment. I haven't run into any issues yet.

“gitlab works exactly right”
Pros
One of my clients suggested me use it to clone their repositories and the experience was very similar to GitHub. It does the job perfectly well and works without any issues.
Cons
Honestly I do not have anything bad to say about this tool. It has consistently performed exactly the way it is supposed to every time I have used it.

“worst tool in the market!”
Pros
There isn't anything positive I can point to because the whole experience has been frustrating.
Cons
It crashes during signup and if someone invites you to collaborate on a repository, joining doesn't work either. Really, the number of issues here is pretty alarming.

“friendly issue tracking”
Pros
Onboarding experience was smooth and the interface is user-friendly. It works really well for tracking issues. I also enjoy being able to stay updated on the projects I'm involved in and follow the progress other team members are making.
Cons
It can feel a bit too simple even though it comes with plenty of features. I honestly do not have many negative things to mention. That said it may not be the best fit for people who are unfamiliar with markdown or do not have at least a basic understanding of programming.

“feature-packed for teams”
Pros
It includes a git repository, project management tools, CI/CD and plenty of other features all in one place. Even the free version offers a lot, including free private git repositories. It's a nice choice for startups and something I'd also recommend for larger enterprises.
Cons
At first glance, the interface feels a bit complicated although it becomes manageable once you get familiar with it. That said I still think the overall user experience could be improved.

“powerful dev and git toolkit”
Pros
An efficient development environment and Git tool overall. It offers excellent features and I appreciate that it includes some premium capabilities that competing products usually charge for.
Cons
That said it is a bit more complex to use than some competitors and it is not as widely known. It also does not seem very practical to deploy on large-scale projects.

“simple and quick to learn”
Pros
This is simple to use and getting comfortable with it doesn't take me much time.
Cons
One thing I've noticed is that integrations with other products seem a bit limited although that could also be due to my own level of familiarity. It may also be related to the fact that the community around it feels fairly small.

“Cloud based project management”
Pros
It has been a really good project management tool for my work. It comes with useful features for uploading applications to the cloud and it works especially well when building small-scale projects.
Cons
There's still room to expand it with more features especially the kind of Git-based capabilities that offer deeper code analytics and better report generation. The pricing could also be lower.

“poor performance”
Pros
The interface is visually appealing but honestly that is about all I can really say for it.
Cons
Most of the time it only partially works, if it works at all. Performance is painfully slow and we keep running into random 502, 503 and 404 errors. On top of that, creating a pull request can take more than 30 minutes.

“ideal for large repositories”
Pros
Strong repository policies along with huge storage capacity and performance. It's a really capable product for handling large repositories.
Cons
It isn't very easy to use for us. HTTPS doesn't work with every visual client available and not every new user knows how to configure SSH key pairs.

Pros
The platform gives a detailed overview, offers plenty of documentation options and supports collaboration really well.

“convenient to use”
Pros
Having CI/CD and Kubernetes built in makes it really convenient to develop and run custom apps in one place. The collaboration tools are fantastic too especially discussions and visual diffing. Honestly some of these capabilities are missing even from expensive desktop apps. Updates come out often and steadily improve both features and usability. The documentation is amazing and the community is welcoming. Every employee I've interacted with has also been pleasant to work with.
Cons
Things do mess up sometimes and when that happens, fixes can take a while unless you're willing or able to handle the issue yourself. That seems to be one of the trade-offs of having such a broad scope and moving so quickly with feature development. If your IT team has the capacity, it's smart to keep a separate copy installed for testing updates before rolling them out to the live environment.

“Useful for project tracking”
Pros
Working with it, gives users strong control over their projects. It makes it simple to keep track of tasks assigned to teammates and it is especially useful when collaborating with members in different countries. Because of that, it becomes very practical whenever the work involves people across borders. On top of that it is simple to learn and very user-friendly. It guides you through project creation right from the start and the tutorial mode is extremely useful. Thanks to that even someone without prior experience or technical expertise can make full use of the features it offers.
Cons
A disappointing area is customer support. Even though it offers an efficient platform overall the contact support section is weak. If we run into problems, recovering from them can be difficult because assistance from the administration is limited. In most cases, support is only really available if you have the premium version. Another issue is the interface menu. While it is fairly simple to learn at first, the dashboard can be confusing almost like a maze. It comes across as difficult and because of that some users are not able to use the platform to its full potential. It also affects efficiency since searching for certain features can take extra time and effort.

“stable updates and SSO”
Pros
I can confidently that the software has been trustworthy. It stays stable, the updates are released on a regular basis and the SSO integration with our AD works really well.
Cons
We rely on it for more than just source code management; we also use it to manage the configuration of all our servers and firewalls. It would help a lot if it allowed scripts to be scheduled to run automatically because right now we are basically using the pipelines for something they were not really intended for.
