What convinces me most is the mix of simplicity and clear structure. With this you can first collect completely unordered ideas even over a longer period and then sort them neatly and turn them into proper concepts. This works just as well for training concepts as for project plans, vacation planning, etc. In addition you can directly link the branches of the mind map with all important files, images and links so that the relevant info is immediately available at any time.

Cons

What really weighs heavily is above all the high price. At the same time, one must fairly say that no other mind-mapping software covers as much scope with this quality.

This tool is perfect for systematically organizing ideas generated during brainstorming sessions. It also provides excellent templates for various subject areas.

It is less suitable for teamwork, and the software becomes relatively expensive after the free trial period.

To me what really stands out with this software is how simple and ergonomic it feels to use and that the results are easy to carry around. The whole workflow just makes sense so you can focus on organizing your ideas without feeling slowed down by the tool. On top of that, exporting or reusing what you create is easy which makes sharing your work much more convenient.

It also helps us reach clearer conclusions and make better decisions since it organizes information in a way that turns complex ideas into something easier to understand. On top of that, the data visualization features make it simpler to present information clearly and in a more digestible format. The software overall feels easy to get the hang of which keeps projects moving.

The main things I didn't enjoy as much are that it shows quite a few advertisements and that can be distracting because it keeps pulling attention across my PC screen. Also, the overall look and workflow feel a little old-fashioned compared to more modern tools.

While using MindManager, I noticed the different tools are actually well put together and very useful. The range of features and functions is probably the best part of the software since it helps you stay organized and manage projects in a more structured way.

Importing and exporting to and from Microsoft Word is simple which saves a lot of time when I'm turning documents into mind maps (and back again). The core mapping features are also simple to get the hang of although there are cheaper tools for doing the basic stuff.

Pricing is higher than most competing products. Even after spending hundreds of pounds on a license, it keeps prompting me to upgrade. Publishing a map so others can view it is fine but real collaboration like having other people edit the map requires paying for an additional, fairly substantial license.

MindManager ended up being a solid choice for my workstation. I originally installed it to replace Visio for flow charts since I wasn't enjoying that workflow and I didn't regret switching. The app feels pretty simple and the interface is clean and uncluttered, with large icons that make it easier to navigate than what I was used to. I also really appreciate the way it connects with Microsoft tools like Teams and Outlook which fits naturally into how I work.

Cons

I haven't used it long enough to run into many real problems. The only hurdle was getting up to speed quickly but the built-in tutorials inside MindManager helped a lot with that.
