The platform offers amazing customization and great visual tools. Also there is a huge selection of time-saving templates and pulling in data from programs like Excel is a very simple process.

Cons

I found the free plan quite restricted in what it can do and managing larger projects gets tricky because everything tends to get messy and disorganized.

Pros

Creating a clear, high-level timeline for stakeholders is not an issue anymore. The dependency links are also really useful for illustrating the projects workflow and logic.

Cons

Bringing in data from another source always messes up the current layout. You are forced to manually adjust every task description and date or you will end up with a completely scrambled schedule. There is also a bug with the date entry field that makes us type the numbers several times before they stick correctly.

Additionally the Office Timeline mobile app allows users to access and edit their timelines while on the go.

Cons

Customizing Office Timeline is limited. You can't change the timeline's fonts colors or other elements. Exporting timelines to file types like PDF or images isn't possible. Office Timeline also lacks extensive customer support. If you have any questions or issues you'll need to seek help from the online community.

Slides are quite good looking and presentable but only once you find a workaround for their clunky software.

Most of the functionality doesn't work properly. Updating a linked MS Project never functioned correctly. It took multiple attempts to generate presentable reports. Recently, it stopped working altogether and bombarded me with ads, which was very irritating.

Instead of creating a grouped object on your slide, the software generates numerous individual objects. If you move one object, it will move independently unless you edit your timeline through the UI. While this feature allows for unique customization, it adds complexity that may not be liked by all users. (The only reason Ease of Use loses a star.)
