This program delivers what it promises about business management at a very low cost. It helps me a lot with my new business. The project and customer management features are the most interesting factors, as I can use them in different companies.

There are many pros to this software, but for me, it is the ease of creating proposals for prospective clients. I usually have to pull data from old job proposals or Excel spreadsheets, which are not necessarily located in one database. This means I do a lot of duplicate work when creating a proposal and waste a lot of man hours. Proteus makes it easier for me to input data into required fields in the proposal template, and at the end of the process, the proposal is given a numbered reference that I can pre-determine and store in a library. This makes it easier to find later if needed. The proposal is then tracked through the system. If accepted by the client, it moves to the project stage within Proteus, and all relevant data can be seen and tracked in the project phase. In layman's terms, it simplifies my work process.

Cons

My least favorite part of the software is that a lot of the graphs and charts are in color. Since I am red/green color blind, I couldn't read them properly.

Managing bids and projects with Proteus is a step beyond what is currently possible with other systems I have seen. For my company, which has a large turnover of projects, the ease of generating and managing bids and the continuity when transitioning into and managing the projects based on the bid is excellent.

I recognize that Proteus is still in an early version. Enhancements to KPIs and data management will be forthcoming. Although they are good now, more options will make it excellent in the future.
