Range gets your team on the same page

Pros

I appreciate how Range fosters transparency by providing insights into the activities of different teams. It ensures we're all aligned and aware of each other's tasks.

Cons

Some of the personal questions can be a bit random and unconventional.

Range Review

Pros

I have the ability to generate a task list and easily share it with the team once I've checked in. It can seamlessly integrate with various software applications.

Cons

Initially, I had to figure out how to do daily check-ins and ensure they were published. It's not really an issue anymore since I quickly figured it out, even though I took my time. Can I do check-ins without publishing them to my team?

Range review

Pros

I find the team-building questions quite engaging.

Cons

I occasionally get logged out unexpectedly, and the integration with Slack can be a bit noisy. It sends direct pings as well as pinging channels.

I like using it, not sure I would pay for it

Pros

The reminders to use Range, the integration with Google Calendar (previously, I had to refer to multiple tabs for list-building), and the daily team question are all notable features.

Cons

I don't fully understand the meeting function. I think having a better understanding of how I could use it would be helpful. While it reduces some friction for tasks my team would do anyway, I'm not sure if the slight reduction in friction is worth paying for.

Ruthless Efficiency Making Way For Human Connection

Pros

The daily personal question humanizes my teammates in an exaggerated way. It reminds me that we're all individuals, even though we may not always perceive each other that way. Having this experience daily reinforces that understanding.

Cons

Sometimes the integrations with GitHub, JIRA, and Google Calendar provide questionable suggestions. If I forget to provide an update, it sometimes gives suggestions from the week, but on a few occasions, I've received suggestions from months ago due to some glitches.

A happy user of Range

Pros

It resolves all the issues associated with daily stand-ups. Tracking the history, interacting with colleagues, and receiving reminders for future tasks are all effortless with Range.

Cons

I use Range as my initial step in my daily work, where I write down my daily check-in. The only complaint I have is that I have to click on the "daily check-in" option in the menu instead of it popping up in my view from the start.

A daily drumbeat for my team

Pros

Range makes it incredibly simple to stay updated on my team's progress and emotions. Especially during the remote work caused by the coronavirus lockdown, this feature has become invaluable. It provides an easy way for everyone to comprehend the team's current situation.

Cons

The meeting feature is good, but it's not quite suitable for us. We ended up customizing the concept and using a Google Doc for more flexibility. I would love to see more customization options here.

Don't know what I'd do without you!

Pros

Range is fantastic. They frequently introduce new features, and their design and functionality are highly intuitive. Moreover, their customer service is exceptional. They actively listen to user feedback and prioritize user needs.

Cons

Some of the integrations could be expanded even further.

Range is a great to-do list

Pros

I adore the Daily Check-in feature it's the primary feature I use. I appreciate the ability to create a task list for the day, and the automatic checking of tasks associated with calendar events (such as meetings).

Cons

It's not possible to drag events (Calendar events, JIRA tickets, Asana tasks, etc.) into previously created tasks in My Plan.

The easiest way to support agile, remote work and workers

Pros

Our team is widely dispersed, with over 50 individuals across three continents and various sites. Range helps me establish shared objectives for the team and provides a comprehensive view of everyone's tasks. I love how it connects updates to goals and effectively highlights obstacles and concerns. The additional trust-building questions are the cherry on top.

Cons

It heavily relies on G-Suite. That worked well in my previous company, where we were deeply entrenched in the Google ecosystem. However, it's a bit more challenging in a Microsoft tools world (Office, Sharepoint, Outlook). It's not impossible, but it does require some extra effort.

Helps keep everyone in the loop!

Pros

The feature that allows me to get an overview of everyone's activities and conduct efficient meetings while taking notes enables me to prioritize my day during the check-in process.

Cons

The notes and topics section during meetings can be a bit confusing. We edit the topic, but it doesn't save as a note unless we add a note separately. I find this additional step unnecessary, and it could be streamlined.

Great tool for teams

Pros

Range greatly assists our team in multiple ways. We operate from different campuses (now all remote), and it's our go-to tool for staying on the same page. In fact, it's the best tool for the job. Range's daily check-ins ensure we not only know what tasks people are working on but also how they're doing. The platform's simplicity is truly remarkable.

Cons

The best thing about Range is the transparency it brings within a team and among teams. If you're not comfortable with that level of transparency, it might be difficult for you. But it hasn't been an issue for us.
