“Review
Pros
I use this software for smaller projects that require professional-looking Gantt charts but not the bells and whistles of more powerful software like P6. I can very quickly develop a project schedule without issue using this software.
Cons
I've noticed the software doesn't have the same level of user-created support compared to more popular software like MS Project. When I have a problem with MS Project, I can usually just google the issue and find something on a forum.

“Simple Scheduling
Pros
It has all the basic features I need for critical path scheduling and Gantt chart visuals.
Cons
Sometimes, I experience freezes that limit my ability to use the software. The print function also isn't as clean as I'd like for displaying a Gantt chart.

“Found it better than MS Project for project management!
Pros
Being web-based, it boasts superior compatibility across various operating systems. It shares similar, but enhanced features compared to MS Project, including task and Gantt Chart functionalities that executives prefer. It seamlessly integrates with Outlook, allowing tasks to be emailed to responsible staff. The PDF export feature is excellent for sharing a comprehensive snapshot of all project tasks along with the Gantt Chart.
Cons
When exporting to Excel, the formatting is lost. There is no way to set up email notifications for overdue tasks. The primary method of tracking tasks is by manually entering the percentage of work completed.

“Very good project management software for the Mac OS
Pros
Working with it is a not problem. I can easily import MS Project files and work with them. Setting up projects is simple, and managing multiple projects is also effortless. The ability to schedule and track tasks is a definite advantage of this product.
Cons
The inability to directly save in MS Project format poses an issue. Additionally, I have encountered problems with report and email templates. Sometimes, updates are released without being thoroughly tested, resulting in temporary disruptions to basic features.

“Very good project management software for the Mac OS
Pros
It is easy for me to work with. I can import MS Project files easily and work with them. It is easy for me to set up projects. It is also easy for me to integrate and manage multiple projects. Scheduling and tracking of tasks is also a plus with this product.
Cons
The inability to save directly to MS Project format is an issue for me. I've also had problems with report and email templates. Updates frequently aren't "flushed out" before being released, which sometimes breaks basic features temporarily.

“Found it better than MS Project for project management!
Pros
RationalPlan is web-based and has better compatibility among different OS. It has similar but better features than MS Project, including task and Gantt chart features that the executives I work with want to see. It integrates with Outlook, so tasks can be emailed to responsible staff. The export to PDF is great for sharing a snapshot of all the tasks in the entire project along with the Gantt chart.
Cons
When exporting to Excel, it loses the formatting. There's no way to set up emails for tasks that are late. The main way I track tasks is by manually entering the percentage of work completed.

“Great scheduling software
Pros
This is a great alternative to Microsoft Project, but I can still make files that are compatible with Microsoft Project.
Cons
I have no cons. I think this is the best project management software for Mac at an affordable price. It's easy to use with most of the features found in Microsoft Project management software. I am still wishing for a PERT chart.

“Functional, Complete, In Depth, Project Management Software. Very Nice
Pros
I must say, the Rational Plan software is fantastic! It encompasses Portfolio Management, Dashboard, WBS, Gantt View, and so much more. The downloadable Desktop view that syncs with the cloud version is incredibly convenient. Setting it up and getting started is also quite easy. The resource section proves to be highly useful for task assignment and project management. I also appreciate the budget/cost features, as well as the excellent control and work tracking capabilities. In my opinion, this software is outstanding.
Cons
One feature I would like to see is the option to use a graphic (Mind Map) view of the WBS. Additionally, having a section dedicated to Risk Management would be beneficial.

“Very good software at a reasonable price
Pros
This software very much resembles the functionality of MS Project, but at a fraction of the cost. It is evident that it was developed by someone well-versed in project management, as seen from the list of steps on the left side. It supports dependencies, durations, and resource allocations, all working together to determine the project completion date.
Cons
The online help documentation is practically non-existent, and the only apparent support option is through email.

“Very good software at a reasonable price
Pros
It most closely resembles the functionality in MS Project for a fraction of the price. It was obviously created by someone who understands project management, as evidenced by the list of steps on the left side. It supports dependencies, durations, and resource allocations that work together to come up with a completion date.
Cons
I've found the online help documentation to be practically non-existent, and the only apparent support is through email.

“Rational Plan Better Supports Compliance Agility Than MS Project.
Pros
When compared to MS Project, the flexibility to customize it according to my preferences is far superior.
Cons
Occasionally, when I have multiple windows open, the software freezes. It is when I have to restart the application. Sometimes, I need to update a recently added line item, but it usually retains the recent work when this happens.

“Very Effective Project Management Tool
Pros
As a native Mac program, it efficiently imports and exports MS Project files.
Cons
Over the years, I have faced some issues with specific bugs. Nonetheless, I must credit RationalPlan for always responding promptly and resolving the issues. I still encounter some problems with the printing format and how it handles logos.
