Great tool for Collaboration

Pros

The ease of collaboration, usage and discussion, as well as the ability to view the end results, make this a tool the best. As you doesn't require any prior experience to use it properly.

Cons

The help section especially regarding user roles, needs more elaboration. I was confused about assigning edit rights to my users until I realized that since I am not an admin within the system (despite running a session), I couldn't perform that task.

Quick and targeted

Pros

The features I like the most about this product are virtual post-it notes, the ability to create epics and stories and the option to export to Jira!

Cons

At most meetings, people spend a couple of minutes futzing around before we get into the flow.

Intuitive and Frictionless

Pros

This application simplifies story mapping for distributed teams and the integration with Jira saves a huge amount of time. It also ensures everyone stays updated with the latest progress.

Cons

It would be great to have developed personas that allow for filtering and more complex journeys.

Useful, intuitive and scales well

Pros

As I manage around seven products, my favorite feature of this tool is the ability to drag and drop stories into sprints and effectively manage sprint capacity.

Cons

Currently, it is not possible to link a story from one board to another. It would be great to have this option in near future.

Great tool to visualize Azure DevOps

Pros

It seamlessly integrates with ADO which allows me to easily visualize the project's development.

Cons

It requires more integration with Microsoft products. I wish it had the same level of integration as Jira.

Still the best story mapping tool in the market

Pros

The keyboard shortcuts in StoriesOnBoard are fantastic. They allow easy navigation and modification of cards in a more efficient manner compared to other story mapping tools available.

Cons

I would like to mention that the visual design aesthetics could be improved. However the recent updates have made a significant difference. I hope the integration between JIRA and StoriesOnBoard becomes more robust for Nextgen projects.

Really convenient but UI could be improved and warmer

Pros

Having an overall view of stories and the ability to export to JIRA is quite convenient. It is mainly helpful for Product Owners to showcase how we have divided product components.

Cons

The UI could be enhanced and it should be made easier to attach files.

Easy to use and great tool for collaborating across different teams

Pros

Ease of use is the basic and the best features offered by this product. Ease of use is also essential for us especially when facilitating live client workshops. Also, the real-time visibility of journeys and the ability to iterate and reprioritize on the fly based on new insights and backlog re-evaluations is invaluable.

Cons

I can't think of anything that I dislike. It is might be because I am a a relatively basic functionality user.

Ideas building and publishing on the web

Pros

It serves as an excellent collaboration tool for generating marketing ideas and promoting them via web links. The interactive slides effectively depict marketing and business concepts.

Cons

In todays marketing process, animations have become crucial. From my personal usage I couldn't find a way to build animations through this site.

Easy to use tool for agile teams

Pros

What I really liked about this tool is that it is built on a methodology that promotes a user centric approach. It is something that is the key for our team. As we are fairly new to agile, StoriesOnBoard has been contributory in helping us adopt this new methodology. The integration with JIRA is also likeable since our processes heavily rely on JIRA.

Cons

So far, I haven't encountered any issues with the tool.

Great & easy tool for story mapping

Pros

I've been using StoriesOnBoard for several years and it is my favorite tool for handling complex projects. I love how easy and intuitive story mapping is, making it ideal for planning MVPs, development phases and sharing them with the team. Managing tickets is a breeze and the export options allow for seamless presentation integration.

Cons

The design may have a slightly old-school feel but overall, everything is good.

Does the main thing well, but needs an upgrade

Pros

StoriesOnBoard is the go to tool in my company for organizing user stories. The reason is that they were one of the first among all to introduce a visually appealing way to view all user stories together, facilitating planning and prioritization decisions. However, the platform hasn't evolved beyond that basic premise to provide the value that product managers are currently seeking from such tools.

Cons

The thing that is lacking is Real-time collaboration in StoriesOnBoard, and this is a major drawback of the product. In todays world tools like Miro are replacing StoriesOnBoard because they enable real-time collaboration among groups of people, even though they lack easy ways to attach details or estimates to the stories. StoriesOnBoard is primarily designed for one person to edit the board at a time.

Excellent tool to collaborate with a customer without pulling him into the complexity of eg. JIRA

Pros

The three elements I like the most are: the ease of use during customer collaboration for defining and refining scope and planning. Secondly, the seamless integration with JIRA and Slack. And thirdly the continuous flow of new features and possibilities.

Cons

The tool is improving, but the administration and management aspects are a bit less straightforward.

Great for remove sprint 0

Pros

In my company, we use this tool for our story maps and it has made it very easy for us to transition from in-person sessions to the online view. Even during remote sprint 0s, we have successfully replaced in-person sessions with StoriesOnBoard online.

Cons

There is no way to move multiple cards at once using ctrl+click or shift+click.

Good but pricy

Pros

The interface and workflow for creating user stories are easy to learn and intuitive.

Cons

The lowest level plan supposedly allows unlimited numbers of viewers, but there seem to be issues if it is accessed by me and more than one other user. At scale this can become a costly tool. It's actually great but it could end up being a significant budget item.

Really great tool with continual improvement

Pros

I like the collaboration among team members and the ability to involve clients in the release and estimation process.

Cons

User management is a bit challenging. Even as an admin, adding yourself to an existing board requires navigating to a different user management area which is always strange.

Used StoriesOnBoard to engage users, discuss priorities and clarify requirements

Pros

The software's intuitive and visually-oriented nature makes it easy for non technical project members to quickly understand and use it. We primarily used it for collaboration and communication during meetings which allow us to establish a shared understanding of the project's desired outcome.

Cons

I would have liked more attributes to categorize cards.

Story Mapping Online App with Lots of Supportive Learning Materials

Pros

The tool is user-friendly and visually attractive. It also offers a free trial and provide plenty learning resources. It also offers more useful features compared to its competitors.

Cons

That's not a drawback rather a wish that if they offered some free plans for users who don't use Story Mapping regularly but only occasionally.
