Great tool for cross-office collaboration management
Pros

As a user, I really like this tools simplicity and how easily it can be integrated into our organization. With a large number of people to onboard, we needed something light and straightforward that everyone could quickly adopt. Well, this is the software that fulfills all are requirements.

Decent tool with features that can be improved
Pros

The calendar feature in this tool is absolutely fantastic and the time tracking system allows me to closely monitor my team's progress on projects. I can analyze the time spent on different tasks and ensure a fair distribution of workload among team members. It even has a mobile app so I can stay updated on progress even when I am out of the office. The software also generates reports based on timesheets, although there is room for improvement. Considering the pricing in comparison to similar software, it's quite reasonable.

Cons

The navigation in the UX is not very easy. The setup process was difficult and we had to rely on customer support to understand how the entire system works. The generated reports were not very helpful, so we had to manually calculate project timings.

Pros

Configuring reports is a breeze and the ability to set up custom calculation fields is highly useful. Additionally, the available API makes it easy to extract and process data in a convenient manner. The support and communication from the team are also excellent.

Cons

In terms of technical expectations I would like to see improved stability. As for functional expectations, adding features to allow project managers to track projects with TD would be a significant improvement.

A nice product that allows you to work efficiently
Pros

The most valuable feature for me is the timesheets and time tracking for teams. Thanks to the time tracking tool, I can monitor my teams performance and compare it to our predictions which allow us to gain insights into our business processes. By generating reports based on timelines, we can calculate the KPIs of our choice, generate financial reports and more. Teamdeck is an excellent choice for managing team workload and tracking overall profitability.

Cons

The speed of use is not exactly what I want as it sometimes operates slowly.

As an admin, I can easily track the daily working hours of our employees. There are various options available for tracking hours and HR can use them effectively. Users can log hours for their respective projects, which are then saved by their project managers.

Cons

Overall nice package
Pros

It is very user-friendly. The API documentation is well-written which allow us to seamlessly incorporate it into our existing systems. We even use Teamdeck data in a Power BI dashboard for customized visualizations and analysis. It has been proven invaluable for our project managers to keep track of things, especially with the team working remotely.

Cons

The default per-page pagination in your API is set to 20, with a maximum of 50. It would be great if this limit could be significantly increased. This restriction greatly impacts GET requests when using Microsoft's Power Platform custom connectors which cannot handle multiple pages automatically. Typically, when we GET projects/bookings/time entries, we want to retrieve all of them.

The availability vs booking time feature is beneficial. When a time slot is marked in red, we know that the resource or person is fully booked.

Pros

As a company, we were searching for a tool that could handle resource planning and project-based time tracking. And fortunately we cam across Teamdeck. It was a perfect fit. It offers a wide range of timesheet reports that cater to our company's needs.

Cons

There are payment bugs. Also we don't have the option to directly integrate Teamdeck with our task manager tool, but it's something that is not a very major concern for us.

Pros

There are three standout features for me. Fiest is the ease of marking bookings and time off, including annual leaves, using the timeline feature. Secondly the ability to differentiate between paid and unpaid time. Lastly the API integration allows us to import data into our attendance system effortlessly.

Cons

The timeline behaves unsteadily at times which is very frustrating. Sometimes bookings or logged time disappear and require multiple refreshes to reappear. Creating personal views for different projects is not very easy and should be simplified and self-explanatory. Additionally, there should be an option to make these views public or personal. It would also be beneficial to add weekly reminders for employees who haven't been booked on anything, either through email or push notifications.

Pros

The planning and tracking features offer great flexibility with customizable filters.

Cons

Loading the timetable for all the time is unnecessary and time-consuming, especially when viewing the entire teams schedule (~50 people). It would be better to display only the selected month. Exporting reports in PDF format with a high-quality layout for presentations to investors is not possible. Teamdeck doesn't show real-time updates from colleagues. But you have to constantly refresh the page. The tool sometimes lags and displays incorrect data in reports which requires triple-checking before collecting statistics and calculating budgets based on time tracking. Having recurring bookings would be a great feature (e.g., every week on Monday and Tuesday). The timetable takes up too much space on the screen, especially with 50 people adding 10 tracking objects each day. Scrolling through 500 records and 50 empty spaces for adding new records is a painful experience.

I use this software daily at work, it works great even with low internet bandwidth.
Pros

This tool helps me track the time I spend on tasks and projects. It provides insights into the duration of each task and project and I can generate reports based on project time spent.

Cons

Teamdeck lacks a user idle function that automatically stops tracking time when you leave your desktop. It is not a major issue but you just need to be cautious and remember to stop the time tracker when you step away from your computer. Whether this is good or bad depends on the honesty of the team you manage as an admin.

Great At What It Does

Pros

Adding new users and projects is a breeze with this tool. It provides features that allow for easy control of total hours per day which ensures we don't go into overtime. The splitting mode for projects is particularly fantastic. Sometimes we have large projects that need to be divided on specific days and this feature helps us manage that effectively.

Cons

It would be nice to have a "waiting for approval" functionality. When organizing a big team with different projects, it would be helpful to mark certain items on the calendar as drafts.

Pros

It's very easy to input and edit data. Also the flexibility offered in generating reports is great. I particularly like the tag function.

Cons

The report section is slow and takes a long time to load data. The web application frequently hangs when users try to input their data. Also customizing the email reminders to sound more friendly to our users is not possible.

There are numerous add-ons available such as Windows Forms and Power BI, which provide shortcuts to display data on our progress.

Cons

If my laptop disconnects and reconnects to the internet, I have to manually refresh Teamdeck. It would be convenient if it could refresh automatically. Also, downloading files is a frustrating experience. It should open the file once the download is complete, similar to Outlook.

It is very simple to set up and use. I like that it doesn't overwhelm me with unnecessary features. When I had questions about reporting during the setup process, I reached out to the team and received quick and helpful responses.

Cons

As an IT company, we often have engineers working outside of regular hours. It would be useful to have a feature that allows us to tag out-of-hours work. This is not a software problem but a feature that would benefit us. As a project manager, I would also love an MS Project plug-in.

However, I had some difficulty initially understanding the different sections like allocations, leaves and time worked, as the icons were small and not self-explanatory in the calendar view.

Teamdeck is great for small and midsize businesses
Pros

The user experience is very nice and the reporting is also nice but there is room for improvement in terms of UX. It would also be helpful to add a "copy report" or similar functionality. There are some minor bugs but they are not major issues. The out-of-the-box utilization calculations are useful.

Cons

The vacations tracking part requires improvement. I want to be able to set the allowed paid leave per team member and have it automatically deducted from their balance when they take paid leave. Although I can do this with reports, it should be a built-in feature. Additionally, an option for utilization forecasting needs to be added. Currently, the only way to do it is by creating an "Unknown" team member and planning them on potential projects. For example, if their utilization is planned at 700%, it represents 7 people. This aspect needs improvement, but it's still manageable.

We required a resource planning tool that allowed us to track actual time and generate custom reports. This service fulfills all those requirements and it is convenient as we can create reports ourselves.

Cons

I genuinely like this tool for our projects. It is easy to use and has helpful features for project tracking. The setup and use flows smoothly and intuitively.

Cons
