Teamwork software is one of the most intuitive project management applications that we have used. It makes it easy to set up an account and start inputting data about a project right away. We set up a project, connected collaborators, provided a list of milestones, and started adding tasks within minutes of opening an account. That was incredible. One of our favorite features is time tracking and the ability to make time billable or non-billable, as well as invoicing, which is always a benefit in any project management application. Another fantastic feature of Teamwork software is the ability to create notebooks so that all of our team members are always on the same page. Its activity log is also fantastic and quite a useful tool.

In-depth data, personalization, and visual graphic representations are lacking in the time reporting feature. Invoicing is nearly ridiculous in design, with little customization and no financial reporting. Another difficulty that we had to face was that you must invite team members to the network before incorporating them into tasks since it does not allow you to add new team members once you get started with the task. One of the biggest problems Teamwork has resolved for us is our projects not having defined dependencies. We spent so much time writing emails back and forth before using the dependent task feature offered by Teamwork. Now, we can easily define dependencies among different tasks and spend more time being productive and efficient at our individual work than on providing explanations in emails. We have also become better at tracking time and customizing project workflows, and the commenting feature is also incredible.

While we use the commenting feature a lot because it is so useful, it does have its limitations. There are too many places for users to leave comments, and it is easy for them to become lost in the system. This is more common with users who are new to the software. Teamwork can come across as complex to use in the beginning. I think there is a need to improve or simplify the interface so even beginners can benefit from the software right away.

As I mentioned, I had to become accustomed to using the software. The interface was confusing in the beginning, and it took time to locate different features and where I had placed my tasks. Therefore, I was not super excited to use the software in the initial days, as I was spending more time figuring out the software than on my work. But I am glad that I persevered. I think once you overcome that stage, Teamwork is quite useful. But I would suggest making the interface more beginner-friendly.
