“Lack of email and recurring projects

From the moment I started using it I found the permission settings are detailed so I can configure practically any user exactly the way I need, right down to project-level controls. There are ready-made templates for projects and task lists, a customizable login URL, capacity management tools and pretty much every other feature I'd expect, aside from a handful of missing pieces.

Cons

The biggest issue for us was the absence of integrated email. That limitation was one of two main reasons we ultimately migrated to another project management tool. With the software we moved to our team can email or chat with clients directly from the specific project we're working on and those conversations are automatically attached to the project so there's always a clear record. The second major downside was the lack of true recurring projects which is important because we provide monthly accounting services and need workflows that repeat reliably. The recurring tasks feature here didn't meet our needs and felt poorly designed in practice, if you look around online you'll find plenty of other users voicing the same frustrations. Another feature that would have made a big difference, though it wasn't a deal breaker for us, is a client portal where clients could log in to upload files and ask questions. We've been using separate software for that piece but it would have been ideal to have everything congreatated in one place like our current setup.

I prefer to get work done while I'm out and about so the mobile app doesn't suit me well. I understand there's a ton of data and the desktop experience is feature-rich and crowded but the mobile version just doesn't work for my workflow. I really wish the mobile experience matched the desktop more closely.

I wish there was a simpler way to plan my work day or week using the existing activities Ive created, such as a drag-and-drop interface. However, I believe they are working on something similar very soon. New features are always being added. I also wish it were easy to alter the appearance of my toolbars. Teamwork provides some of this, but the old interface showed unread comments in a much more accessible location, whereas now I have to search to find all of my unread comments in one area. It would be wonderful to have a shortcut to that or similar things on my toolbar.
