Ultra-flexible and responsive team

Pros

Working with Triskell has been a very positive experience. Their team is attentive, responsive and always comes forward with useful suggestions. Also the solution itself is extremely flexible and can fit any type of organization, no matter its size. Once the architecture is properly understood, finding the right information becomes fast and easy too.

Cons

Because the solution is so adaptable, it's important to think things through carefully before making decisions, otherwise it can turn into something overly complex. Thankfully the team is always available to guide us and help prevent building structures that are too complicated.

good fit for every need

Pros

Rather than being a one size fits all product, Triskell gives us the flexibility to configure the tool around all of our needs and adapt it as those needs evolve over time.

Cons

There is really only one downside and that is the admin module is fairly complex and not the most user friendly at first. That said it becomes more manageable as you get used to it.

a real plus in the monitoring of our projects

Pros

I really like the ability to configure user functionalities and the different project perspectives available. The customer support is responsive and personalized.

Cons

I suggest considering the development of functionalities applicable at the task level.

Agile cloud flexibility

Pros

Built around an Agile and fully cloud based approach, this solution offers a customized data model and a UI/UX designed to match business users expectations. Plus it connects quickly with an existing information system and nearly everything can be configured to fit specific needs.

Cons

Some configuration steps can get quite complex so it may require an administrator with strong technical expertise.

Flexible PPM toolbox

Pros

Triskell PPM feels like a real toolbox for gradually building a solution that matches the way the organization works and can keep evolving as processes mature. One of the biggest advantages is that the setup and adjustments can be handled internally, without needing to rely on an integrator every time something changes. Also it offers plenty of APIs and connectors which makes it much easier to integrate with the rest of the IT ecosystem.

Cons

Performance has improved over time but there is still room for further optimization.

quick setup and powerful configuration

Pros

it stands out for its quick implementation and ability to scale without difficulty, fitting our internal processes really well. Also its powerful configuration provides exceptional flexibility. A lot of the native features bring real value especially for improving project portfolio management and budget tracking. The configuration-based approach also makes it possible to roll out functionalities gradually and manage deployment changes more effectively.

Cons

Well it is not really a downside but the tool does rely heavily on proper configuration so the design phase needs to be handled in a structured and methodical way. So it is definitely advisable for admins to take the available training courses so they can build the level of expertise needed.

give portfolio visibility

Pros

Being able to manage the software product we develop alongside the client projects we deliver has given us a full view of the entire portfolio without having to deal with duplicated information.

Cons

Task planning in the current Gantt version still has room for improvement although we have already been told that a new version is being developed.

Powerful fit for evolving teams

Pros

One of the biggest strengths is how powerful the core concepts are especially when your teams are growing in maturity over time. It lets us adapt the implementation gradually instead of forcing everything into a complex setup from the start. Also it handles both project work and BAU activities really well so you can track day to day activity properly without having to bend the system like with many other tools, such as creating fake tasks just to log BAU time.

Cons

Even after using it for years and recommending it many times during consulting work, I still have not come across any major drawbacks worth pointing out.

amazing cloud portfolio hub

Pros

Managing multiple portfolios in one place is a big plus and it handles different practices within the same environment really well. Plus being a true SaaS/cloud platform also takes a lot of the technical burden off the customer side which is a real advantage.

Cons

There still is not a dedicated mobile app even though the platform can be used through a browser on tablets.

great design and strong security

Pros

the data security stood out to me mainly the option to encrypt everything. The interface also looks polished and can be fully customized to match exactly what you need. On top of that creating and updating screens is very simple and you can make changes without losing anything.

Cons

One thing to watch out for is user permissions. Like you really need to plan in advance how rights will be assigned in the solution because changing that later can be a bit complicated even if it is still possible.

Pros

We were able to configure the solution very quickly, with the first project portfolio setup completed in just 15 days. After that it could keep evolving in an agile way as new needs came up, without any additional cost.

Cons

covers almost everything

Pros

Triskell mirrors the way a business actually works. Unlike a lot of tools on the market, the modules and objects you build are not forced into a complex Project model packed with unnecessary features. Each object or module can have its own functionality, its own lifecycle and its own attributes. I mean pretty much everything can be configured and adapted, from security and role management to creating objects and sub-objects without real limits, all the way to setting up an organization at scale. Overall it is capable of handling just about everything. Plus it really feels like the Swiss Army knife of PPM tools. Another big advantage is that everyone receives version upgrades at the same time. There is no product version fragmentation so everyone is working on the exact same product.

Cons

It covers a lot of ground but now and then it is a bit less capable than some market tools that are built for one very specific function.

Fast support and quick setup

Pros

Getting started with Triskell was easy and using it day to day has been just as simple. Communication is also fast and efficient and whenever an issue comes up, it gets resolved quickly.

Stable database and flexible setup

Pros

The database has been very reliable and it helped us move away from relying on multiple Excel files. Another big advantage is how flexible the tool is during development since it can be adapted to match our specific needs.

Cons

In the earlier versions of it, having to open each operation just to edit data made the tool more tedious for our users. That issue has since been resolved with the grid view editing feature.

way too easy to setup

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how well it adapts to a company's needs thanks to the depth of its configuration which is pretty rare for a true PPM tool. Also it makes business project portfolio management very easy and adding high-value dashboards is simple, whether for steering indicators, cost tracking or other key metrics.

Cons

A few default views are still missing so in some cases you have to rely on report generation to get the information you need.

Customizable platform with real partnership

Pros

Triskell is fully customizable so each customer can really adapt it to their own way of working. Users are also part of the Triskell community which means they can contribute ideas and suggest product improvements. There are several releases every year and those updates benefit everyone. Another strong point is the number of native features already included. Like you can activate many of them without paying extra since they are part of the solution from the start. The biggest advantage though, is the customer relationship: the team listens, brings useful recommendations and responds quickly when issues come up. It genuinely feels more like a partnership than a typical vendor-client relationship.

Cons

Because the platform is extremely configurable, administrators need the best technical skills to get the most out of it. You also have to understand the logic and structure well in order to fully use its capabilities. The reporting side requires SQL knowledge if you want to be independent in managing your own solution. It's definitely important to plan for the available training sessions so you can feel comfortable using and administering the platform.

Portfolio management that delivers

Pros

It works well as a portfolio management tool and really helps share project governance at the center of the Business and IT relationship. Rolling out several features, such as time tracking, project status and the master plan was not very complicated too. offers the best support

Pros

Triskell is very user friendly from an end-user standpoint and the full customization gives administrators the flexibility to make updates whenever needed. We're able to gather input from users and adjust things based on their feedback which has really helped improve collaboration and lets us keep our instances updated as requirements change. Another big plus has been the Triskell team throughout several implementations. They really took the time to understand our day to day reality and specific needs, shared useful best-practice guidance and consistently delivered a final product that matched what we were looking for.

Cons

One issue we still run into is that navigation between pages can be a little confusing at times. Users will click the back arrow expecting to return to a certain place but it does not always take them where they thought it would.

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is how much it can be customized to match specific needs. Pulling data out for reporting is also very easy and the support team is quick to respond and genuinely effective when help is needed.

Pros

Getting it up and running was quick and it can evolve without much trouble as our needs change. What really matters is how well it matches the way our company works as the software adapts to our processes instead of forcing us to adapt to it.
