Seamless planning layer for GitHub issues

Pros

It seamlessly integrates with the original GitHub site through the Chrome/Firefox plugin. Not only does it provide detailed guidance on using the tools but also offers valuable insights into managing agile projects in general. The interface and usability experience are truly sleek and well-designed.

Cons

There are a few details that I hope will improve with time: 1. It would be great if sub-issues of an Epic could be ordered (properly sequencing them when viewing is important). 2. I miss the ability to incorporate automated actions such as: 2.1. Moving an issue to a specific pipeline when a code review is requested. 2.2. Moving an issue to a particular pipeline when a code review is approved. 2.3. Assigning an issue to a specific team member when it's moved to a pipeline. 3. ZenHub provides a "Done" pipeline but the issues there aren't counted as "done" in the reports. 4. Currently ZenHub allows viewing issues as pop-ups in the pipelines and I wish the same experience was available in the Epic planning board.

It's powerful to integrate directly into your GitHub project

Pros

The kanban tasks are directly linked to the GitHub project, providing all the issue details just a single click away. It is effortless to configure sprints and milestones as well.

Cons

The customization options for the Kanban flow are limited and it can be challenging to use for projects that aren't closely tied to development. Additionally the layout is less visually appealing compared to other Kanban tools.

Zenhub finally made my developers care about the administration

Pros

Since my teams code exist in in GitHub so do my developers. We used to use JIRA for change and defect management but developers found it not very friendly. However, with GitHub that's not the case.

Cons

The UI has certain inconsistencies that bother me. Firstly Text fields don't retain their value until you press update whereas dropdowns update as soon as you release the mouse. This creates uncertainty about whether a specific change was applied or not. Secondly, The close button places the ticket in the closed state (in addition to closing the window) but there is no pop-up message confirming completion or requesting additional details. Particularly in the beginning this made it too easy to accidentally remove tickets from the board.

Simple work flow tool

Pros

This tool is incredibly user-friendly and anyone familiar with a to do list app can easily utilize it. The seamless integration with GitHub makes development a breeze.

Cons

I often have to refresh my page multiple times before I can see updates in different columns of my workflow which can be annoying and time consuming.

Easier than Jira, but limited

Pros

It is impressive how quickly I can set up a board and seamlessly integrate it with GitHub. The epics feature is particularly exceptional.

Cons

I believe it has the potential to be better. It lacks intuitiveness and still requires a learning curve. A design more like to Basecamp would enhance the user experience.

Better than the regular GitHub Ticketing Feature

Pros

ZenHub significantly enhances productivity when working with ticketing features within GitHub. It organizes all tickets in a modern software development view and offers excellent reporting tools. The integration with GitHub is seamless.

Cons

When compared to other issue/bug tracking products ZenHub doesn't offer as many features. It seems like the release of enhancements is slow and it's unclear if feedback and enhancement requests are implemented promptly. I often come across enhancement requests that I agree with but find them closed or delayed.

Integrates well with Github.

Pros

ZenHubs integration with GitHub allows me to access the program using my GitHub login. It provides an intuitive layout for monitoring the progress of the projects I manage. I have completely replaced JIRA with ZenHub for task delegation to my team members at work, including disaster recovery management.

Cons

The user interface of ZenHub feels quite clumsy and takes time to adapt to. It also hampers the usability of my GitHub page while it is active.

Zenhub is a lightweight project management tool embedded to your github repo.

Pros

It is a fantastic complement to GitHub as it encompasses most of the functions required for agile project management, requiring only the installation of the add-on. The documentation is also excellent.

Cons

The main issue I encounter with this tool is that I wish there was a way to create a board without a repository. This might not be a flaw but rather a unique feature that I occasionally miss.

Very happy with using Zenhub for project management.

Pros

I like the fact that ZenHub is built directly on top of GitHub which eliminates the need to visit another site for all the information. The boards view is a fantastic way to see all my issues or filter them by epic, among other options.

Cons

ZenHub lacks the analytics and reporting features available in tools like Jira.
