Last Stop for Reservation Software

Pros

I like how intuitive the software is and all the features it offers. This is my third reservation software system, and I think it will be my final one! The company adapts to the evolving rental industry and keeps us updated.

Cons

The reporting area could use some improvement. It would be beneficial if the report title and the date it was generated were automatically displayed. Most reports come in Excel format and require customization to meet my specific needs, which has both positive and negative aspects.

Great vacation rental software package

Pros

It's a flexible vacation rental software package that is always improving. We couldn't run our day-to-day business without it!

Cons

It took some time to master all the software's functionality, but once I overcame the learning curve, I truly appreciated its comprehensiveness.

Streamline VRS

Pros

After extensive research of software platforms in the vacation rental industry, we chose StreamlineVRS for its flexibility in publishing our websites as we wanted and its integration with OTAs and channel distributors. We have 15 active installations, representing over 8,000 properties across North America. You can tell Streamline was developed by people who truly understand the vacation rental business.

Cons

Due to the complexity of onboarding our extensive number of properties (8,000) and the vast amount of photographs (100,000+), the onboarding process faced challenges and experienced delays. However, once we were up and running, everything worked smoothly.

Evolving Industry Requires an Evolving Software

Pros

It's web-based software that is always improving. Monthly updates enhance the current system and introduce new features, keeping them ahead of other software in the industry. StreamTrust (Trust Accounting System) is a powerful tool if you set up accounting correctly, including taxes and fees. Their annual summit is great, allowing you to meet the team, ask questions, and learn about new features.

Cons

Customer support is often the biggest challenge for software companies. It can take a while to resolve certain issues. However, I must acknowledge that customer support has improved over the years.

Good for the price.

Pros

It's simple to learn, and I find it worthwhile for the price. It offers better functions than Kigo and LiveRez.

Cons

I have to navigate through multiple sections to accomplish tasks. There's a lot of repetitive work, including re-entering information multiple times to make a reservation.

StreamLine VRS

Pros

I like using this software to manage all my vacation rental properties. It's fairly intuitive and somewhat simple to use. I appreciate their efforts to integrate all listing sites as well.

Cons

Currently, I can only integrate one listing site because not all sites manage fees and taxes the same way, preventing a universal rate for all integrations. I wish the customer service was more helpful. Additionally, I'd prefer more affordable training options without attending pricey conferences. Syncing calendars for combined homes using the parent logic often fails to block perfectly. I also wish there were more customization options for my company's needs.

Vacation Rentals made easier

Pros

This software has many customizable features for managing multiple vacation homes. Tracking reservations for numerous properties is easy. It allows you to create reports for each home, generate occupancy reports, and send documents with each reservation. An account manager is assigned for any issues.

Cons

Uploading multiple photos in the gallery is slow. There's no quick way to rearrange property positions in the tape chart. It would be helpful to group properties together quickly.

Horrible Experience - they call it Streamline University for a reason...they expect you to go back to school and get a tech degree ...you are on your own.

Pros

I value the software's capability to aid in expanding a small business. It provides greater functionality, more choices, and additional features.

Cons

What was supposed to take six weeks turned into six months. They expect you to have technical knowledge or spend thousands on hiring help. Support is minimal, and they don't prioritize you until you're desperate. Their ticket system just floods your inbox without solving issues. In the end, you have to figure things out on your own, which is grueling. Be prepared to clear your schedule and get some wine if you choose this route. I was content with my old system but needed a mobile app for owners and guests. However, I discovered there is no guest app, nor an app for managers. The owners like the app, but overall, it's overpriced for what you get.

If you are a hotel or lodge, look elsewhere now.

Pros

The system is easy to navigate and consolidates everything in one place. I liked the ticket program for addressing issues or questions.

Cons

We were told this system was compatible with lodges and hotels and integrated with third-party sites, but none of this was true. It only works for individual vacation rental property companies. We had to switch because none of the promises were kept. Probably decent for vacation rental homes, but if you have a lodge or hotel, look elsewhere! Every question we had was met with a no. After the system failed to deliver, we were promised a refund for the site build, which never happened. We moved to a better company and are much happier now.

Lots to be desired

Pros

Streamline helps manage different aspects of a vacation rental business, including maintenance and housekeeping.

Cons

It would be great if Streamline made it easier to connect to other software services like Slack or Zapier to make guest data more actionable. The user interface isn't intuitive, requiring a lot of time to figure things out or calling support to enable features.

Streamline is not just their name but the service they provide as well! No other software compares!

Pros

This software effectively streamlines and automates all my business processes. The task management flow is smooth, intuitive, and straightforward. It handles everything from inquiries and quotes to reservations, accounting, and customer service, all in one system. The customizable documents, triggers, and fields offer unlimited capabilities. The housekeeping and maintenance app is easy for our vendors to use and provides real-time information to better serve our guests. Streamline offers a lot of functionality and extras at a price well below the competition.

Cons

The large number of features in Streamline can be overwhelming, but the development team is always willing to disable functions you won't use. They've made many changes to condense and simplify these areas. Users can also be set up with access only to their specific work areas, greatly simplifying the dashboards and menus.

Streamline keeps our Vacation Rental business organized!

Pros

Streamline has numerous functions and uses. We don't utilize all of them, but every few months we discover something new to implement, and our business organization continues to improve. I love the maintenance and inspection apps, as they are very intuitive. Customer service responds promptly, and I'm very pleased with what Streamline offers.

Cons

With great functionality comes great responsibility. Streamline offers a lot, but frequent glitches and changes that only an account rep can make mean a lot of back-and-forth with customer service. Although they generally respond quickly, it still creates an unnecessary burden and can be frustrating. The interface isn't as easy to navigate as it could be. The housekeeping and maintenance apps, though beneficial and straightforward, are rudimentary in design.

Accounting is terrible, support for little things is good but cannot get reconciliation statement

Pros

The owner is great! She responds when we can't get our rep or accounting to answer questions about discrepancies in report amounts. The company has been beta testing the software for too long, causing us constant trouble, but again, she is great.

Cons

They deleted all of our 2017 records! We can't reconcile for real estate commission, costing me thousands to hire consultants to fix it.

Excellent product

Pros

The software is incredible. We tried a couple of others and stuck with this one. Overall, it has been a great experience, and the representatives have been the best in their expertise with Streamline.

Cons

Managing it is a bit tedious. We are learning daily, but software in general can be tedious. They need to improve their training as not all team members are well-versed.

Great product built by a team that understands the vacation rental biz

Pros

I can't limit my likes to just one topic, it is far superior to our old product. We were looking for a product made by industry experts and are very pleased we found Streamline.

Cons

I would like the ability to track more than one credit card in a folio. Managing groups needs improvement.

This software is fantastic, it meets our needs and allows for easy growth!

Pros

We love that it's a "one-stop shop." We can manage every aspect of our business from one place, eliminating the need to manage reservations, communications, the website, and accounting with different software packages. Everything is integrated, allowing us to stop duplicating efforts and focus on getting business done. It's an involved process, but the client support is excellent. Our account manager, Marco, is knowledgeable and available for questions. He makes the training process both thorough and fun. This software's tailored process makes us confident about our business's future and the opportunities ahead. We're thrilled we chose Streamline!

Cons

Setting it up takes time. We've worked late nights to get the data set up in this software. That said, if we want to maximize its potential and rely on it, what else could we expect?

Streamline is a fantastic company and their software is far superior than any other I have seen.

Pros

The simplicity, for sure. Uploading new properties is so easy, and integrating with many vendors has streamlined the process. The customer service is extraordinary. Once you sign up for the software, they are there with you all the way. We love our customer service rep! My rep is our go-to person at Streamline, and she is always very helpful.

Cons

Sometimes they update so quickly that we don't get informed about the new products they offer!

Amazing software built by great team - with exceptional customer service!

Pros

Streamline continues to develop and add great features to its platform. The team collaborates with customers in developing these new features. The support team is exceptionally responsive. The software has been instrumental in streamlining our operation and supporting our growth. We plan to implement even more features to create more efficiencies as our operations are ready. We use Streamline on our Macs, iPads, iPhones, and Android devices. The web access makes working anywhere, anytime, fast and easy. The mobile apps for housekeeping and work orders are robust for any size business and are used daily by our team. We are early adopters of many complex new features. The Streamline Summit is a great opportunity to gain industry knowledge, provide product feedback, and get refresher information.

Cons

It's easier to use on a larger screen like an iPad than on a mobile phone due to the screen size and amount of information presented.
