full of payment issues

Pros

The one upside was that it didn't cost anything but that pretty much matched the overall quality.

Cons

I ended up leaving it because the payment problems were too serious to ignore and made me question where the money was actually being held and whether it was secure. Some tenants were charged twice without approval, other payments failed with no notice to the tenant or to me and even when a tenant did submit a payment, it could sit stuck in processing for more than 14 days until I reached out to support. On top of that, the fact that Tellus had no web-based login made it inaccessible for certain tenants.

Payment failures and weak support

Pros

I don't have anything positive to mention here except that it's a free property management software.

Cons

While using it, we ran into several payment problems that created both financial and legal concerns. There were unauthorized double withdrawals from my tenants, delayed payment remittances and a lack of proper detection or communication around payment issues. Support was also very limited, responses were slow, often not very helpful and only available through the app, with no phone or email option. Those problems were the reason we eventually moved to a different platform. On a smaller note, it could only be accessed through the app and not from a web browser or any other method.

Offers high APR

Pros

Compared with other online banking options, this one offers the highest APR I've seen. They use real estate to make that possible which means returns can be up to 17x higher than what traditional savings accounts usually offer. On top of that, it's completely free which makes it even more appealing.

Cons

There are a few restrictions around the minimum balance and how APR is earned but the threshold is still low when you compare it with traditional bank savings accounts. Aside from that, everything else is pretty simple.

Time and Frustration Saver

Pros

There is a delay in generating some reports, which could be enhanced.

Cons

Tellus effectively tracks all necessary items for managing investment property. Additionally, it offers very competitive savings interest rates, which is a nice perk but not essential.

Saves time and money

Pros

At first, there were some issues with uploading documents, but communicating through chat resolved these problems within a reasonable timeframe.

Cons

The customer service is both accessible and responsive, which is impressive. Tellus provides everything needed to manage rental properties, including lease uploads, tenant communication, and financial reporting. It also offers investment opportunities, though they aren't mandatory.

Great App for Landlords

Pros

Some of my tenants struggled to enter their bank information for rent payments, but customer service is excellent and responds promptly.

Cons

It's a great tool for communicating with tenants and an easy way to receive rent.

Great reliable product with excellent customer support!

Pros

The user experience is decent, but it could be more intuitive. There are many features I don't use for my specific needs, but the ones I do need work well.

Cons

I've been using Tellus for over a year to manage my rental property, and it has been incredibly reliable. I encountered a small bug on Christmas Eve, and the support team addressed it right away, fixing it by the day after Christmas. I was impressed by the quick response from the Tellus team. Thanks to everyone!

Rental Management

Pros

I have been experiencing issues with messages. Sometimes, I'm not notified when a message is sent to me. I still need to experiment with the reports and tracking expenses.

Cons

I like the automatic fund transfers, the application process, and lease write-ups. The customer service is fantastic!

Tellus Review

Pros

It's difficult to split the monthly rent collection. I have a low-income tenant whose portion of the rent changes frequently.

Great Potential

Pros

Great for first time property owner

Pros

I couldn't see the tenant's view, so I wasn't able to guide them on how to navigate the system.

Excellent customer service

Pros

The interface is somewhat confusing and can make it hard to find the features I'm looking for.

Cons

Tellus has nearly all the features I wanted in a property management software. Any issues or missing features are compensated for by the amazing customer service. The Tellus team is always friendly, helpful, prompt, and thorough when answering questions. This is only my second year as a landlord, and Tellus has made everything extremely easy for me.

Tellus for the restivus

Pros

The company Tellus partners with for background checks isn't as effective as other companies. I like that it's free, but the report's thoroughness could be better.

Cons

The customer service is impeccable! Any questions I have about setting up the app for my tenants are answered within a few minutes to hours with screenshots and excellent directions. If they don't have the function I'm looking for, they pass it along to development, and I've seen changes happen within a month!

On its way to being a great product

Pros

There were many bugs before the product became usable. Fixing these bugs sometimes took time and impacted renters. The user interface was initially confusing and focused on activities I rarely used. While the new UI is better, navigating units, leases, and making edits when things go wrong is not intuitive. Once everything is set up, it's pretty seamless. A web client would be very helpful.

Cons

It offers simplicity and all the functions I need to manage my building. All the features are there to manage everything from listing and leasing to accepting rent and managing the building, repairs, and communications in one free app. It's been super useful to have a chat interface directly in the app. Transactions were very quick for getting the deposits. The support team has been very responsive whenever there were issues.

Great system just has some annoying bugs

There are a lot of bugs, and error messages are sometimes sent to tenants.

Tellus review

Pros

It has a lot of potential, but I sometimes find it hard to navigate. The menu options are scattered across different pages. It's not very intuitive for someone who isn't tech-savvy, like an older tenant. Additionally, some banking institutions, especially local credit unions, are not listed.

Cons

It makes communication between tenant and landlord easy, handles rent collection, lease setup, and more.
