“Secure and convenient payments”
Pros
On top of everything else, PayPal is incredibly simple to use and very convenient overall. It also gives me a strong sense of security when making transactions which makes the whole process feel worry-free if something ever goes wrong. Another big plus is that PayPal doesn't charge anything when sending money to friends and family.
Cons
About the only downside I see with PayPal is the chargeback fee which feels pretty high. Even so, that's a small issue compared with all the advantages and benefits it offers.

“broken access”
Pros
There really aren't any benefits. Just a service that keeps getting more expensive.
Cons
Pretty much everything is a problem. It doesn't work and no matter which browser I use, it always sends me back to the home page.

“fast transfers & low fees”
Pros
One of the best parts of using PayPal has been the low transfer fees and how quickly the money gets delivered. I'd definitely recommend PayPal to anyone living outside the US.
Cons
The part I like least is that I still can't use the app to send money directly to my bank account. I really wish they would update it so bank transfers could be done right inside the app instead of having to open a browser and log in there every time.

“Reliable payments”
Pros
Using PayPal just makes more sense to me because it's simple to use, dependable and secure when handling payments. Those are the things that really convince people it's a better option than relying only on a bank account.
Cons
I honestly can't say anything negative here because I've been satisfied with everything.

“Keeps getting better”
Pros
Online payments are more and more centered around PayPal now and I keep seeing it expand beyond that into replacing traditional POS systems for physical stores too. It's also a big plus that PayPal includes a crypto option especially since cryptocurrency keeps gaining momentum worldwide.
Cons
My only real concern is how scammers can sometimes get around paying through PayPal especially in Facebook Marketplace deals, if the seller does not protect themselves with solid proof at every step showing the item was actually shipped. Other than that, PayPal has been excellent.

“Instant payments almost everywhere”
Pros
Sending and receiving money through PayPal is quick and there are plenty of ways to move money around. It's also accepted on most major websites which makes paying online really convenient.
Cons
Sometimes they place random holds on money when I'm trying to transfer it from my balance to my bank account. Customer service also needs improvement. They usually just stick to a script and haven't really been helpful when I've contacted them.

“unexplained account hold”
Pros
The setup felt user-friendly and the invoicing features were one of the parts I appreciated most. It let me send payment links to customers or email invoices directly which was really convenient.
Cons
After using PayPal for more than five years for my small business, they suddenly placed a hold on my account without any explanation. I hadn't done anything wrong so it was incredibly frustrating.

“Great for invoicing”
Pros
Whenever I need to collect money from people I don't know personally or meet in person, PayPal is the service I rely on. It works especially well for online sales and connects much better with invoicing tools and integrations.
Cons
For sending money between friends though, it's not as easy or fast and the transaction fees are usually a bit higher.

“multiple payment options”
Pros
When I pay online, PayPal is one of my go-to options. The whole process is fast, simple and very easy. It also gives customers several ways to pay whether through a PayPal account with direct debit, credit card or even invoice/installment options. Merchants receive payment confirmation right away and business transactions are additionally backed by buyer protection. That makes it a very practical and convenient payment solution overall.
Cons
There are a few downsides though. It has frozen larger incoming payments in the past due to suspected money laundering which can be frustrating. Account verification is also absolutely necessary. On top of that some of the fees charged from time to time feel hard to justify. Because of this, when using it for digital payments, the order amounts really need to be considered carefully. Not every payment should go through PayPal since costs can add up quickly and become expensive.

“unlimited transfers worldwide”
Pros
Being able to send and receive money online from both local and international funding sources has been a huge advantage for me. There's no limit on my account so I can accept any amount of money and also withdraw that same amount directly to my local bank account without issues.
Cons
One downside is that PayPal still doesn't support every country which makes it difficult for people in those places to use it for online payments and transfers. On top of that, their customer support is not very reliable especially when you're dealing with a serious account problem.

“Convenient for clients”
Pros
It's been really convenient for both my clients and me.
Cons
The only downside is having to pay a fee. That said, I understand PayPal is a business and has to make money so it's not something I can complain about too much.

“easy Yahoo integration”
Pros
PayPal Checkout fits nicely into my Yahoo Small Business website and getting it connected was easy. The fraud protection tools also give me more confidence when processing orders and help keep the risk low.
Cons
It does charge more than a lot of other payment processors and the fees seem to go up on a regular basis.

“secure card storage”
Pros
This has been really useful for online shopping since I can link my debit cards once and use them across different stores without re-entering my card details every single time.
Cons
One frustrating limitation is that my PayPal account can send money but not receive it because of the restrictions PayPal places on my country. It would be helpful if there were some kind of workaround for legitimate businesses. On top of that, the fees can sometimes feel unreasonably high.

“Slow refunds”
Pros
Running a small business is a lot simpler with this because invoicing, receiving payments and keeping track of every invoice can all be handled in one app. It's a solid fit for a business just getting started and saves the trouble of having to piece together separate tools for each task.
Cons
The refund process is where it falls short for me. Refunds take far too long to reach customers and because the turnaround is so slow, I've ended up using a different method to handle refunds instead.

“convenient payment options”
Pros
One thing that works well is how payments usually go through without much trouble, aside from streaming services. I also appreciate having two different ways to pay, either by signing in or by using a debit card. To me, that setup feels unique and convenient.
Cons
Honestly there are quite a few downsides. There have been far too many security breaches and I should not have to deal with security being so strict that even I end up locked out of my own account. I also do not like that support keeps routing everything through automated questions and you can never actually talk to a real person.

“easy WordPress setup”
Pros
Connecting it to my WordPress site was very easy and getting everything set up didn't take much time at all.
Cons
One thing I've noticed is that when a sale comes through on my WordPress site, the totals don't show the fees the way they do with Stripe. That makes bookkeeping take a bit longer since I have to log into PayPal separately to check the fees. There may be a setting for this that I'm just overlooking.

“Fast account setup”
Pros
Getting an account up and running is really simple and you can start receiving payments almost right away.
Cons
Transfers to your bank are scheduled for the 1st of each month and if you need access to the money earlier, you have to withdraw it manually and pay extra fees.

“simple business loan”
Pros
For us getting a business capital loan through PayPal has been the easiest and best financing option. There was no credit check, the repayment comes out automatically with each sale and the whole process was very simple to get approved for.
Cons
At this point there's nothing I would change or improve.
