“Global wallet”
Pros
PayPal is accepted almost everywhere which makes it a very convenient payment option. It works like a digital wallet where you can connect your Visa or Mastercard, then pay either from your PayPal balance or straight from those linked cards. It also lets users create invoices to collect payments and small businesses can take advantage of the 24-hour seller protection. On top of that, the platform includes several other tools that can be useful for small businesses whether they sell through their own website or not.
Cons
Connecting PayPal to a business setup can take some technical know-how. Reversing payments or withdrawing money from a PayPal wallet can also be challenging for people outside the US who do not have a US bank account.

“reliable payments”
Pros
Payments feel reliable and transparent, with no irregularities in the process. It's also widely used for everyday transactions so sending money to others or paying for products is convenient and familiar.
Cons
Merchant payment fees can be quite expensive at times. If PayPal reduced those charges, more people would be happy to use it for online transactions that are both faster and more affordable.

“account shut down over product restrictions”
Pros
A lot of people recognize and trust PayPal when it comes to handling payments.
Cons
PayPal shut down our account because of the products we sell even though those items are clearly reflected in our business name, Niles City "Knives."

“invoicing made simple”
Pros
One of the best parts is being able to send or request money from people whenever I need to and the invoicing option is a really useful bonus.
Cons
Honestly I do not have any real complaints. I have enjoyed pretty much everything about using it.

“Expensive fees”
Pros
There was a time when PayPal worked well as a PSP. It was fairly simple to set up, the pricing felt reasonable and we even had a dedicated account manager. Back then, it handled the basics exactly the way you would expect.
Cons
Now it has become almost useless. The costs are extremely high, customer support is basically absent and they literally state, "Unfortunately, telephone contact is currently not possible. It is only available in special cases." Their chat support is painfully slow and even when you finally reach someone, they still can't really help. It feels like they do everything possible to squeeze more money out of users, all in the name of pleasing shareholders. Their app took months to function properly even with our help. PayPal.me no longer works and you can't even send your own money to yourself in a currency they already support on the platform because they keep forcing conversion to EUR and taking another 5%. On top of that, it seems they got rid of all the account managers just to increase profits.

“Funds held without cause”
Pros
We use PayPal to handle payments for our business. I run a SaaS company that sells real estate websites and related services. Since switching over to Stripe, there's honestly nothing about PayPal that I still appreciate or would recommend to anyone.
Cons
After more than 10 years of using PayPal for our business and processing millions of dollars through it, they suddenly decided a few months ago to put a HOLD on every dollar over $95,000 each month for 21 DAYS. We typically process around twice that amount so this was completely unreasonable. It makes no sense at all especially because we have almost no chargebacks so PayPal had no legitimate reason to hold OUR MONEY. Because of that decision, we struggled to cover our financial obligations and they only gave us a few weeks' notice. We've now moved to Stripe and it has been better than PayPal in every possible way.

“reliable worldwide payments”
Pros
Everything about this software works well for me. It's very user-friendly, convenient and dependable. Once your account is verified, you can pretty much manage things however you need to. It lets you receive payments in multiple currencies, send invoices, make payments, transfer funds and send money without any hassle. The fact that it can be used almost anywhere in the world is what makes it stand out to me. I honestly haven't used another payment app with this kind of worldwide accessibility.
Cons
Even though the software itself works well, the mobile app still feels limited in a few areas. I've had a hard time figuring out how to convert money through the app so I always end up using my laptop for that instead. No matter how much I tried exploring it, I still couldn't get it done on mobile. The same issue comes up with invoices since I can only create them properly on a laptop and not through the app. Another downside is that transfers to a local bank can take a few days which is why I prefer linking my PayPal account to GCash because it's much faster that way.

“fantastic invoicing”

Sending payments to international clients is really easy. The invoicing feature is excellent and makes my work much easier. The layout is simple and feels best-in-class.

Connecting PayPal to a website can sometimes be tricky to figure out especially if you're new to it.

“Solid banking platform”
Pros
Paypal has been a really solid banking platform for me especially for sending and receiving money making payments and even accepting donations. The layout is simple to understand, navigation feels natural and using it is very easy. I also feel very safe using it which gives me a lot of confidence whenever I make a purchase from anywhere. Honestly whether someone is just starting out or already working professionally, Paypal feels like one of those services you'll probably need to use.
Cons
There have been times when my money was put on hold for more than a week which was definitely frustrating. On the positive side, customer support did reply to me in a timely manner. I also used to share the account with my wife and one thing I didn't like was that the password could not be changed.

Pros
I really appreciate how it makes receiving international payments much simpler especially with the low fees involved.
Cons
One thing I don't like is when the money gets held because I currently have more than 70 reais stuck in my account.

“safe global payments”
Pros
Accepting payments worldwide with this tool feels secure and simple. After completing the account and bank verification steps, you can start using it without much hassle. There's also an option to add your debit or credit card details for instant payments. Sending money to friends or family is easy too since all you need is their email address. For merchants, it's useful that invoices can be sent directly to customers and payments can also be received through email.
Cons
When customer payments come in, they sometimes place the funds on hold and take a while to verify the transaction. That can be a serious problem for merchants.

“Versatile transactions”
Pros
After using PayPal for many years, I can honestly say it's one of the strongest platforms out there. It has grown far beyond basic money transfers and now feels much more like a full online banking service. You can create invoices, send and receive payments, move funds around and even use a cash card to withdraw money from an ATM.
Cons
The security can feel a little excessive for everyday use. Even when I'm signing in from the same device with the same digital credentials, it still asks me to go through multiple verification steps. That becomes frustrating when I need to open the app and log in several times throughout the day.

“keeps business moving”
Pros
Running my business with PayPal every day has been a huge plus. It helps me stay on top of both payables and receivables without any hassle. The reporting tools are really useful for tracking sales and other key numbers and the platform itself feels practical, user-friendly and well designed. Being able to handle invoicing quickly and monitor transactions so efficiently makes a big difference.
Cons
Honestly I have nothing negative to say about it. It's been fantastic.

“reliable”
Pros
Operating an online service business means I often get paid by clients in other parts of the world and PayPal has been a really reliable option for that. Even though there are local apps available in my country, this works much better when the payment is coming from overseas. Adding money and cashing out is very simple and the platform is simple to navigate without any confusion. I also appreciate how helpful the customer support is when I use it for online purchases.
Cons
The fees can feel a bit expensive at times. Also even though withdrawing money itself is fairly simple the available withdrawal options here in Latin America are still pretty limited.

“Swift payouts”
Pros
PayPal's biggest advantage is how simple it is to send money for free, plus almost everyone already uses it. In film and TV production, we often have plenty of out-of-pocket expenses that people need covered and that can get awkward fast. PayPal has been really useful for reimbursing people or sending advance money for things like props, wardrobe, hard drives and similar purchases. It makes meeting up with people and exchanging money quick and efficient. When a vendor sends an invoice through the platform, paying them with a business credit card is also very simple.
Cons
Getting deployment set up through a custom script and handling sales automation is a bit harder than it should be. Part of that may be because I was still new to programming but I remember the sandbox account setup and the documentation being pretty frustrating to work through. On top of that, digging through menu options for features I don't use very often can feel confusing and cluttered. That's really the one part that makes me roll my eyes.

“gives accurate analytics”
Pros
Online payments go through really fast with no delays and the analytics are accurate enough to clearly show where every payment is coming from and where the money is going.
Cons
The part I'm not a fan of is the verification process especially when it asks you to add your card details or bank account number.

“Quick transactions”
Pros
It's well maintained, offers strong security for transactions and helps keep payments safe and fast. The interface is very simple too which makes everything even more convenient.
Cons
So far I don't really see anything that needs improvement in the app's features. It already has everything needed and the fast transactions are especially helpful because they save time.

“reliable instant payments”
Pros
One thing I can always count on with PayPal is reliability. Every transaction I've made through it has gone through successfully and the processing is impressively fast. Notifications show up almost right away which makes a big difference during in-person POS payments because it avoids those awkward pauses while waiting for confirmation that the money has been transferred.
Cons
The downside is that payment restrictions involving accounts in certain countries make it harder for me to quickly do business with some clients or partners.
