Reporting and case management

Pros

One thing that really stands out about SFDC is how incredibly versatile it is. Building reports and pulling the data I need for presentations and metric tracking is pretty easy which helps a lot in my day-to-day work. Case management is absolutely essential for our team and honestly, I can't imagine handling daily operations without SFDC. It offers a huge range of features and capabilities and I'd definitely recommend it.

Cons

Biggest frustration is the 2000-line limit in its reports especially when I'm trying to bring those reports into Power BI. I'd really like to see that limitation reviewed or fixed.

Reliable tasks but awkward screens

Pros

Task management works almost all the time and has been the most valuable part for us. We rely on current and upcoming tasks to run the business and make sure people get contacted when they should. The contact and account management features are decent as well.

Cons

Making changes to screens and lists is not very easy. The interface feels awkward and when you edit a task, the save button shifts position which makes it easy to lose track of it.

great hub for support teams

Pros

Every day, our support department depends on this as our case tracking system and it's become a core part of how we work. I can only speak to our specific setup but we truly rely on it constantly. Our clients use it to find self-service help, submit tickets, chat with support, follow their case progress, register for training courses and handle plenty of other tasks. On our side, it helps us keep work organized and makes it possible for team members across the company to access whatever they need to know about a client. It has also been consistently stable and available whenever we need it.

Cons

The only real downside is that it doesn't work equally well in every web browser. For our support team, Chrome has definitely been the best choice so that's what we stick with. We ran into a lot of issues with Internet Explorer in the past.

CRM with endless integrations

Pros

As a CRM, it does just about everything and the number of third-party tools that connect with it is hard to beat. The UI is also highly customizable which is a big plus especially since I prefer keeping it simple with a more bare-bones setup.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is how often it pushes me to move over to new version. That takes away the part I actually prefer about Classic which is the simple, stripped-down style that almost feels a bit Reddit-like.

User-friendly lead management

Pros

Right from the start, we've been using this platform to receive leads and the process has been fairly easy. Now we're in the middle of shifting over to using it for full lead management so we're still in the early phase of learning everything. Even with that, it has felt very user-friendly for something we only recently started working with.

Cons

A few features could definitely use some adjustments to make the workflow and overall usability better but it does seem like the system can be customized enough to fit what we need.

keeps everyone aligned

Pros

The Chatter feature has been one of my favorite parts of using it. The way my company relies on it really helps with tracking down information, staying transparent and keeping everyone accountable. Another big plus is how customizable it is since it can be adjusted to match the specific needs of your company.

Cons

At this point, I really don't have anything I'd call a least favorite part. If you had asked me a few months back, I probably would have mentioned the move to new version but that change has actually turned out really well.

Custom dashboards and notifications

Pros

Every day, this program proves how useful it is. It lets you customize the dashboard and create graphs which makes it much easier to visually track what you're working on and what you've already completed. Team collaboration works really well too since people can leave comments and you get both a notification and an email whenever that happens.

Cons

After using it for the past 3 years, I honestly haven't run into anything I dislike.

Customizable but hard to learn

Pros

Its biggest strength is how incredibly customizable it is, with more features and possibilities than most companies could ever realistically use. That level of flexibility is exactly why it works so well as a well-known CRM platform but businesses should go in knowing that making full use of those capabilities can become very expensive.

Cons

That same endless customization comes with a downside. There are so many settings, options and features that it's nearly impossible, if not completely impossible, to figure out how to properly set it up and use it for your company on your own without professional training or paying someone from the vendor to handle it for you.

CRM with deep capabilities

Pros

It is a very capable CRM platform and I'm sure we're still not using everything it can do, including all the features available through its add-ons. It handles a large amount of information well and gives us a great way to store and track it.

Cons

Platform itself is costly and implementation and customization add even more expense. For a smaller company, getting the full value from it can be difficult. If it isn't set up and rolled out the right way, it can end up getting in the way of business processes instead of helping them.

Shared visibility but outdated design

Pros

Handing off follow-ups to someone else is pretty convenient which helps a lot. It's also useful that everyone on the team can view the same information in one place.

Cons

There are a few frustrating parts. At times, our applications won't open at all which is really annoying. On top of that, the interface feels very outdated and finding important details on each page can be difficult. I really wish it were more aligned or at least offered better customization to fit what we need.

Customization with standout support

Pros

Right away, the level of customization impressed me. I've been able to get it to handle just about everything I need and it's given me the flexibility to tailor it closely to our sales process and workflow. I genuinely love using this software. The customer support has been excellent too, there's always someone available to answer my questions. I also really appreciate the web-hosted setup and the way the UI is laid out. My sales team was able to pick it up and start using it pretty quickly.

Cons

The biggest downside is the cost. Unless you go with the Enterprise license which is already the most expensive option, you end up getting charged extra for a lot of things. I recently found out I'd need to pay an additional $25 per user per month just to access the API so I can automate our QuickBooks integration. The Inbox app looks fantastic but that costs extra too. Need more custom workflows? That's another added charge. Want click-to-call? Be ready to pay for that as well. On top of that because the system is so complex to learn and setting up a custom instance for my business takes so much work, it has practically turned into a full-time job for me. I honestly don't see how a business could adopt it without having a technical admin with plenty of spare time. I also really dislike the overly cutesy visual branding. The artistic decorations throughout the UI make it feel more like scrapbooking software than a professional business tool. It honestly looks like it was designed for a pre-teen girl, children in animal costumes, cartoon animals, floating animated hearts... seriously? I have no idea what they were thinking. It feels completely unprofessional. When my sales team first saw the branding, they immediately assumed it was some kind of children's software which made for a terrible first impression. The features are excellent but wrapping them in flowers and ice cream visuals really takes away from them.

great tool

Pros

There's almost no limit to what this platform can handle for enterprise software. As a CRM, the Match my Email feature our company relies on is something I really appreciate and once you get familiar with how the system works, assigning tasks across different members of the organization becomes simple to manage.

Cons

Getting around the system can be difficult when no one shows you how to use it first. It doesn't really work in an simple, common-sense way so you have to learn its own "language" before you can properly navigate it and make use of the features.

Sales pipeline powerhouse

Pros

It does a really good job of keeping everything organized and has become essential for day-to-day sales operations. Planning and monitoring the pipeline is much more manageable with it and it solves a lot of problems that come up during the sales process. The mobile app is also a huge advantage when you're out and about as a salesperson.

Cons

There's definitely a steep learning curve at the beginning. It comes packed with features but the interface can feel overcrowded because of that. A more modular UI that could be tailored based on different roles would make the experience even better.

Fully customizable CRM

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is being able to shape this CRM exactly the way we need it. I haven't run into many limits when it comes to what it can do for us.

Cons

Since it can be configured however we want, it also means we really have to think carefully about how we build it out. There have been times when we set it up to work a certain way and later on, when we wanted to expand our opportunities, that setup created some challenges.

No-code sales automation

Pros

Right out of the box, it covers the core functionality every sales team typically needs. Everything is neatly arranged into records and those records are built on structures that can be customized based on specific needs. One of the best parts is how much customization it offers without needing to write any code at all. More importantly, the drag-and-drop tools make it possible to automate almost any workflow at work. Creating multiple records and working with flowcharts is fast and efficient either way.

Cons

On the downside, the pricing is fairly high. Since the product runs on a subscription model, the cost can add up quickly if your company has a lot of employees and each person needs their own subscription. That makes it considerably more expensive at scale which is definitely one of the more frustrating parts of the pricing.

Clean interface and daily efficiency

Pros

Using this every day has really highlighted how simple and practical the product is. It needs to be effective and easy for the pace of my role and it does that well. I can quickly get in, access what I need and enter information in the right places without running into problems. The interface is clean, modern and very user-friendly.

Cons

With the updated version, I honestly do not have any complaints. The previous version felt outdated, lacked a modern design and was not tailored to what I needed. This newer version covers everything I need now and it also has the flexibility to add or remove things as needs change.

User-friendly and rewarding

Pros

Getting started takes some time because the learning curve feels pretty broad at first but the platform itself is user-friendly. The more you use it and interact with different features, the more familiar and comfortable it becomes.

Cons

At times, the platform is slow to load and finding certain information can take longer than it should. There are also quite a few user restrictions so it could definitely be made more simple and accommodating.

Customization with great training

Pros

Right out of the box, this is an incredibly powerful tool and the ability to customize and configure it around your business feels almost unlimited. With the way it connects to other SFDC products and direct integrations, nearly our entire company relies on SFDC as the source of truth. Another big plus is Trailhead which offers completely free online training modules to help users learn the basics and stay up to date with new SFDC release features.

Cons

That level of power definitely comes with responsibility. The platform is highly customizable but if changes are not carefully planned and handled by an experienced admin, the system can become overcomplicated and cluttered pretty quickly.
