“User-friendly web access”
Pros
Using this web-based software felt very easy and the user-friendly setup made a big difference. A lot of employees across our company were able to sign in from home and keep using it without much trouble which was especially important during COVID-19.
Cons
One frustrating part was that the software would open in the new updated layout every day and it was a hassle having to keep switching back to "it Classic." Another thing that could be improved is that we always had to right-click to open something in a new window. By the end of the day, it was completely normal to have more than 50 windows open.

“Organized projects and visibility”
Pros
Having a clear view of the projects assigned specifically to me really helps me stay organized day to day and prioritize what needs attention first. I also appreciate being able to see what the rest of my team is working on since it makes it easier to manage workflow together and step in to help each other when things get busy. Setting project statuses is useful too because it gives my boss visibility into why something may not be finished yet. The chatter feature is another big plus for keeping project notes and sharing status updates.
Cons
One part I don't love is how emails and attachments come through especially when messages are forwarded. It can end up looking pretty messy and it's not very simple to follow once you're outside of your email. Attachments can be easy to miss and when a long email thread gets dropped into a case, it can be hard to figure out where the client's main question is actually coming from.

“Pipeline visibility that works”
Pros
For the past 8 years, I've relied on it every day at work and it has made my Sales Operations role much more manageable. The way it uses separate objects for Leads, Contacts, Accounts and Opportunities, combined with strong reporting and dashboard tools, makes it really effective for keeping up with pipeline management. More recently, I moved from being just an end user into a system administrator role and the configuration options have been very approachable. It lets you tailor fields and page layouts so the system fits the way your company works.
Cons
It still feels like it needs more refinement even though it has come a long way since the first release. A few reporting and dashboard functions are still only available in Classic which means having to jump back to classic to make updates and then return to new version to run reports or dashboards. I'd also like to see the dashboard component cap increased beyond the current limit of 20.

“great for integrations”
Pros
A year into using it, I can honestly say I've loved the platform. One of the biggest advantages is that it's object-oriented and very approachable for almost anyone to learn. The integration options are excellent, you can connect it with just about anything, including tools like Calendly and Microsoft Office through APIs. Here's what has stood out to me, it integrates with nearly any software you can think of, it has its own development language, Apex which is similar to C# and fairly quick to pick up, the UX/UI is very user-friendly and you can modify almost anything you want, the dashboard can be customized to show exactly what matters to your role. Since I work in the life sciences industry, that makes it especially useful for keeping up with the latest industry news while working. The analytics especially through Einstein, are very strong and perform well. It's also simple to pull and push data and I appreciate the reliability, there's a separate instance for pushing changes which helps protect the main system from mistakes. Email notifications are another useful feature.
Cons
A few of the default features could be better although the ability to build your own features does help make up for that. There isn't a one-step chat option for IT support and there's no ping feature either. Honestly, I wouldn't call these major downsides as much as missing default options especially since the platform gives you the flexibility to develop what you need.

“CRM across teams”
Pros
Among CRM platforms, this is about as full-featured as it gets. The reporting tools are especially powerful making it possible to put all of our activities and the huge amount of data we manage into context and actually analyze it in a meaningful way. We use it across sales, support and marketing and it handles all of those areas well.
Cons
Every now and then, it doesn't behave the way we expect it to. That may be tied to how our company has it configured alongside other tools and integrations especially when we're automating things like record creation.

“Cloud access and sales tracking”
Pros
Being cloud-based is a big plus since I can log in from home, on my phone or from my laptop at work. It does a really good job of organizing leads, tracking progress and managing the sales funnel. It's also easy to use and making changes or updates doesn't take much time.
Cons
The biggest downside is the cost and it really works best when it's used just for sales leads. After the sale is done, you still need to move the process over to account management software.

“Reports with full integration”
Pros
Everything from customer tracking to leads and contracts is brought together really well in one system. The reporting tools are especially powerful and provide useful insights.
Cons
Getting started can feel a bit complicated at first. New users usually need training and it can also be challenging to find a skilled IT administrator to manage the software properly.

“Clean layout and workflow”
Pros
Compared with other platforms that try to cram in too much, this one keeps things clean and easy. The layout is user-friendly, consistent and simple to navigate. It reminds me of the difference between Facebook and MySpace, one stayed focused on the core experience while the other got cluttered with extra features. This software follows the same better approach by keeping the interface clean without losing sight of its purpose.
Cons
It fits into my company's business processes pretty well and generally works without much trouble. That said, I can tell there are plenty of features that could probably help us but we are not using them simply because we do not know they exist. We use some of the available tools already but it would be really helpful if the system occasionally sent an email or showed a popup with suggestions like, "Have you tried this object/app? Other businesses use these objects/apps for tasks like, [examples]." Something like that would make it easier to discover features we may be missing out on.

“Excellent plugin support”
Pros
One thing that really stands out is how well it works alongside other plugins. That level of compatibility has been a big plus.
Cons
What's frustrating is that existing contacts who ask for more information about a product online still aren't considered an official "lead." That feels pretty ridiculous.

“Modern nonprofit management”
Pros
Moving to this platform has been a major upgrade for our nonprofit. The design feels very modern and it has helped us organize our administrative information while automating processes that used to be handled on paper or manually. Day-to-day constituent management is much better now and we've been able to digitize a lot of projects that were previously still analog. Another big plus is how customizable it is especially being able to create widgets tailored to our nonprofit's specific needs.
Cons
One downside is that the interface isn't as simple as I wish it were.

“Flexible ecommerce and CRM”
Pros
We're currently using it to host our ecommerce application and it comes with several really useful features. It works well for administrators and also provides Visualforce pages for customers. Support for both new and classic versions is available which helps across different user preferences. It also offers convenient support for CRM users, along with the option to configure custom Visualforce pages for end users. Administrators get access to ready-made components such as Reports, Dashboards and System Data and the integration with Google Analytics is another valuable plus.
Cons
One major drawback is the 135 KB limit on any it page. That restriction makes it difficult to handle very large amounts of data so quite often some attributes have to be removed just to reduce the page weight. On top of that, the new version view with it is not very user friendly.

“Real-time data with workflow challenges”
Pros
Having this software in place has let our team build a platform that delivers real-time data instantly with just a click.
Cons
Even though it gives us room to grow, there are still limitations and bugs that need to be worked out especially since moving to the new version UI. Every time we come up with a big idea, we seem to run into a series of roadblocks that force us to find workaround after workaround.

“Integrations for teams”
Pros
One of the best parts is how well it connects with third-party apps like JIRA, TalkDesk and Slack. That makes sharing information between departments much more convenient for teams that rely on those tools.
Cons
Because the platform is so powerful, smaller companies may not get as much value from it compared with larger organizations that can take fuller advantage of everything it offers.

“Highly customizable CRM”
Pros
This is a huge, powerhouse software platform. The range of things it can handle and the level of customization it offers for different business needs really make it feel like the top tier of CRM systems.
Cons
That same size is also what makes it complicated. It's much easier to manage when a company has a dedicated IT admin available to step in when issues come up and honestly, that's the catch, most companies will probably need an admin just to keep everything running properly.

“Trusted CRM ecosystem”
Pros
There's a ton of functionality packed into it, backed by a strong ecosystem and the kind of enterprise-level reliability and trust you expect from mature software and versioning. The SSO capability is a big plus and the deep integration with marketing tools is something I really appreciate as well.
Cons
Exporting anything out of SFDC is incredibly frustrating. Even something as basic as copying records from an SFDC table into Microsoft Excel for quick analysis feels way more difficult than it should be and is genuinely headache-inducing. The mobile experience still feels pretty limited and underdeveloped and the licensing setup is also a real hassle since we basically have two tiers of users, the haves and the have-nots.

“Love the Lightning setup”
Pros
Working with this tool every day, the lighting setup has been a really positive change. It's very simple to use and does an excellent job as a CRM for keeping all client information in one place. I also really enjoy being able to create and view reports and dashboards to track my sales numbers and prospects clearly.
Cons

“Stable with strong integrations”
Pros
From a Marketing and Sales perspective, it feels like a complete package. The platform is very stable especially when compared with other cloud-based solutions and it also offers a wide range of integrations with third-party tools.
Cons
Reporting side is not very flexible for end users. At times, users struggle to get the exact outcome they need from reports even if it only happens in a small percentage of cases. It would also help to have more flexibility for bulk data editing without relying on Data Loader. Another major issue is that when data is being edited or synced with external platforms, the system does not clearly notify users if that data is being changed or reverted to an older value by the external platform and that feels like a significant drawback.

Pros
Whether it's a small dataset or a huge amount of information, the platform does a really good job of helping organize and work with that data. It also gives you the flexibility to build whatever custom interface you need and connect with almost any third-party application.
Cons

“Dashboards and sandbox tools”
Pros
Getting started with it didn't take long. You can build reports and turn them into dashboards, plus the sandbox lets you test code without touching your production data. It also works well for coding product forms and managing data and you can install applications on it to make day-to-day work more convenient.
Cons
At the beginning, the functionality was a bit hard to grasp and most of the learning resources available were only in text format. The new version mode also tends to lag quite a bit.
