Excellent customization and training

Pros

Amadeus' integration team worked closely with us and did a fantastic job tailoring the product to fit exactly what we needed. They also handled on-site training really well, helping our entire team adapt to a completely new way of doing work they'd been doing the same way for years which is no small task.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is better integration with the diagramming software. It would be much more convenient if I, as the corporate administrator, could add and manage users there the same way I can within Amadeus itself.

Tracking and pipeline visibility

Pros

The system does a good job of tracking progress through each stage, including clearly showing when something is closed/won or closed/lost.

Cons

Navigation between stages feels too disconnected and not very accessible. It's almost like I have to open one window just to get to the next instead of having everything flow together on the same page. Creating a quote from an opportunity also feels awkward since I have to go into a separate dropdown and use the stages in the quote field rather than doing it directly from the opportunity screen. It just doesn't feel very logical to me.

Team task management hub

Pros

It does a really good job of bringing information into one place for almost every team. Our Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and executive teams all use it to manage tasks and projects.

Cons

Getting comfortable with it takes time because the learning curve is fairly steep. It's been important to keep learning and continuously build knowledge to use the product better and having someone on the team who is certified in it makes a big difference.

Challenging to learn and customize

Pros

Most of my work with SF happened on the post-sales side in Account Management, where I relied on it for contract renewals, comparing contracted licenses and tracking ARR through reporting.

Cons

Even after using it consistently for years, it can still feel pretty overwhelming. To be fair, I may not have received the right training as an end user but creating reports and handling customization took a lot of time before I could use it effectively.

Essential team reporting

Pros

At this point, I can't imagine our organization operating without a tool like this. It's been rolled out across every department and has become our go-to reporting platform.

Cons

Because we keep such a large amount of data in our IT CRM, it can be a bit slow to load at times. I also wish some of the data visualization features weren't locked behind an extra premium cost.

Flexible setup and clear dashboards

Pros

Running both our mobile and remote operations became much more connected with Accounting once we started using this. We were able to build the system around exactly how our business needed it to function. After using it for a couple of weeks, if something wasn't working the way we expected or we needed extra dropdown options, those could be added or removed without much trouble. The dashboard also offers plenty of ways to view sales and revenue and it's clear enough that everyone can follow it.

Cons

We did run into a few glitches here and there. For example, our production board sometimes wouldn't load and if the internet goes out, the program goes down with it. That said, those issues didn't happen very often.

User-friendly feedback capture

Pros

Whenever I used this from the user side, it felt very user-friendly and simple to navigate. It gave us a good way to collect end-user feedback and information so we could better help and support them.

Cons

Softphone integration was a little buggy at times although it got better over the years we used it. In the end, it wasn't really a major issue.

Versatile database hub

Pros

Despite the name, this platform is an incredibly powerful database that can be tailored to handle just about anything a company or non-profit needs. I've used it in several non-profit organizations and also in for-profit environments including a staffing agency and a software company. At the staffing agency, we were able to integrate all of our systems into it without any issues.

Cons

If you don't have enhanced support, getting a response can take some time. A lot of the replies from support also tend to be basic search results that I had already looked up myself.

Costly customization for large teams

Pros

One thing that worked well was how much the platform could be customized and I also appreciated that it integrated with other vendors. The app felt competitive compared with similar products on the market.

Cons

Support being overseas was a challenge and getting help could take a day or two. The communication was not always clear because of that. The same flexibility I mentioned as a benefit also became a downside since the product required so much customization and I was not able to handle that on my own. To get it set up the way I needed, I would have had to spend thousands of dollars on personal configuration. It is not really an out-of-the-box product with an simple platform and it seems better suited for larger companies.

Flexible exports and integrations

Pros

Using this tool has been very comfortable because it's simple to handle, offers the ability to export data and above all connects very well with other software.

Cons

On certain devices, performance can feel heavy and slow and depending on the dataset being exported, congreatation sometimes takes longer than expected.

Reporting with lead linking

Pros

It lets you store a huge amount of information and there are plenty of reports you can pull from it. It also connects with lead sources like Dodge and ConstructConnect which makes tracking opportunities a lot more useful.

Cons

Creating a new report can be difficult. Also, if you add a follow-up to your agenda and then don't get time to handle it, there isn't a quick way to get back to that lead without a follow-up.

Visibility and integrations

Pros

After more than four years of using it, mainly as a sales consultant, I'm still impressed by how flexible it is and how much data it lets you capture organize and track. The number of integrations available with leading business tools is huge which makes it possible to connect everything back to the same lead, contact or account in one central place. The reporting, dashboards and different view options also make a big difference because they give stakeholders full visibility and help monitor how the team is performing. The report and dashboard builder does take a little time to learn but once it clicks, it becomes something you'll want to use all the time.

Cons

One adjustment has been the newer version since I still work mostly in the classic view. It takes quite a while to get comfortable with even though I understand why many people say it's the better version overall.

CRM with deep customization

Pros

From the start, this has felt like one of the most powerful and sophisticated CRMs out there. The onboarding process and product demos were incredibly helpful and the reps spent real time learning about our CRM needs, our workflow and how this platform could be adopted into our new business department to help grow revenue and track progress. The system is fully customizable and includes very advanced marketing integrations in the cloud. Being able to track leads and their history, see who followed up and when, add notes and assign leads to specific team members has made our workflow much more efficient. If you fully use the features, it's definitely worth the price.

Cons

Our biggest concern is the cost of the marketing cloud add-on. There are plenty of other tools, like Sprout Social and HubSpot, that offer similar functionality so the roughly $6,000 price feels a bit high. I also wish the pricing were more transparent overall. Discounts and contract terms have felt inconsistent which made the buying process more frustrating than it should have been.

Custom fit for niche teams

Pros

Working with it in a very niche business has been a really positive experience, mainly because of how much you can customize. Being able to tailor the components made everyday work flow much better. We didn't have to waste time translating terminology or getting confused by routines since everything could be set up to match how we actually operate. It was also very editable which meant new users could jump in and start working right away without needing days of complicated training just to understand the system.

Cons

Classic interface did feel pretty outdated. That said, this stopped being a problem with the newer version experience.

Saves us hours

Pros

After our school district moved the special education program over to SpedAdvantage, the difference from our old software was huge. Special education comes with so many hours of paperwork and this system has been a real time saver. Everything is much more organized so paperwork is quicker to locate, complete and send out to team members. The features I appreciate most are the activity and call log, the ability to link contacts to students, the upcoming and overdue reminder pop-ups and the check-in/check-out option for paperwork, just to name a few.

Cons

There have been a few glitches in the program but the support team and developers responded quickly and were very helpful.

Shared client data that helps

Pros

Using it as a database tool for my company has made a real difference. It's improved how we organize both client details and communication records. My employees can all access the same information for shared clients which has cut down on repeated outreach to clients and leads. That has taken a lot of pressure off both the sales team and customer service staff.

Cons

Every now and then, we run into glitches where information doesn't save to a client's file or can't be connected to the client's activity tab.

Customization and capability

Pros

This platform covers pretty much everything you'd want it to do and then some. One of its biggest strengths is how customizable it is, with the only real limit being how much you're willing to spend.

Cons

Getting it up and running was very challenging and we had to put a lot of time into correcting the initial setup inputs. It was also too much for a lot of our sales team since the system offered more than they could realistically handle. On top of that, the add-ons kept driving up our overall costs and the training and ramp-up period took a long time.

CRM with endless features

Pros

There's pretty much nothing this CRM can't handle. It covers just about everything you could possibly want in the CRM world.

Cons

Getting it set up takes a very long time and it's definitely not the most user-friendly platform. Even the new version strips out important functionality just to keep the interface looking cleaner.

Customization for teams

Pros

Its biggest advantage is the level of customization since it can be adjusted to fit the needs of almost any organization. This tool makes it possible to set more practical goals and spot the key weak points in a company's structure, with individual analysis for each employee, as well as for teams and products.

Cons

The large number of options and customization settings can make implementation pretty challenging and it may take a few months of staff commitment before everyone fully adapts to the system. Because of that, smaller businesses may not get as much value from it since it demands time, effort and involvement from the whole team during the adjustment period.

Sales follow-up goldmine

Pros

Keeping up with contacts and sales calls is usually a nightmare but this makes it much more manageable. I've worked with organizations that used it and others that didn't and I'm definitely happier being with one that does. I'm not sure what the cost looks like but if you work in sales, it's absolutely worth considering for your team. Being able to note important details and set follow-up reminders is incredibly valuable. It's especially helpful when a customer mentions something specific that can help later, like "headed to Italy," so you can follow up with "how was your trip to Italy?" and make the next conversation feel much more personal.

Cons

Honestly, not much to complain about. Some companies have better features than others, like click-to-call but that really depends on the software they're using. Other than that, I don't have much negative to say.
